• நாட்டின் முதல் துணைக் குடியரசுத் தலைவரும், 2 வது குடியரசு தலைவருமான முனைவர். ராதாகிருஷ்ணன் (1888) பிறந்த தினம். 
• இன்று  உலக கருணை தினம். (புனித அன்னை தெரேசா நினைவு தினத்தை (1997) உலக கருணை தினமாக ஐ.நா. அறிவித்தது).

• கப்பலோட்டிய தமிழன் வ.உ.சிதம்பரனார் அவர்களின் 151 வது பிறந்தநாள்.  

2. புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தம்  

• நாட்டின் எதிர்கால போக்குவரத்துக்கான தீர்வை கண்டறியும் வகையில் சென்னை ஐஐடி இன்குபேஷன் பிரிவு மற்றும் டெய்ம்லர் இந்தியா வணிக வளாக நிறுவனம் இடையே புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தம் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளது.  
• நமது போக்குவரத்தை பிரச்சினை இன்றி கொண்டு செல்வதற்கு தற்காலிகமாகவும், நிரந்தரமாகவும் தீர்வு காண்பதே இந்த மையத்தின் நோக்கம்.  
• இதன் மூலம் எதிர்கால போக்குவரத்துக்கு தொழில்நுட்ப ரீதியாக தீர்வு காண விருப்பம் உள்ளோருக்கு ஆலோசனை வாய்ப்பு ஆகியவற்றை வழங்கி அவர்களை ஊக்கப்படுத்த உள்ளனர்.

1. மகசேசே விருது பெற கேரள முன்னாள் அமைச்சர் மறுப்பு  

• பிலிப்பைன்ஸ் முன்னாள் அதிபரின் பெயரில் வழங்கப்படும் ரம்மோன் மகசேசே விருதை பெற மார்க் சிஸ்ட் கம்யூனிஸ்ட் கட்சியின் மத்திய குழு உறுப்பினரும் கேரளா முன்னாள் சுகாதாரத்துறை அமைச்சர் கே.கே.சைலஜா மறுப்பு தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.  
• பிலிப்பின்ஸ் கடந்த 1950களில் அதிபராக பதவி வகித்தவரான இவர் அந்நாட்டின் மத்திய லூசன் பகுதியில் விவசாயிகளால் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட கம்யூனிஸ்ட் கொரில்லா இயக்கத்துக்கு எதிராக தாக்குதல் நடத்தி கம்யூனிஸ்டுகளின் மீது அடக்கு முறையை கையாண்டார்.  

• பின்னர் கடந்த 1957ஆம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் மாதம் நடைபெற்ற விமான விபத்தில் ரமோன் மகசேசே உயிரிழந்தார்.  
• அவரது நினைவாக ராக்ஃபெல்லர் பிரதர்ஸ் ஃபண்டு (ஆர்பிஎஃப்) என்ற பெயரில் அறக்கட்டளை தொடங்கப்பட்டு ஆண்டுதோறும் ரமோன் மகசேசே விருது வழங்கப்படுகிறது.  
• பிலிப்பைன்சிலும் மற்ற ஆசிய நாடுகளிலும் அரசு பணி பொது சேவை, பத்திரிக்கை, இலக்கியம், சமுதாய சேவைகளில் சிறப்பாக பங்களிக்கும் நபர்களுக்கு இந்த விருது வழங்கப்படுகிறது.  
• நிகழாண்டு இந்த விருதுக்கு கேரள முன்னால் சுகாதாரத்துறை அமைச்சர் கே.கே.சைலஜா தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டார்.  
• கேரளத்தில் கரோனா பெருந்தொற்றை திறம்பட கட்டுப்படுத்தியதற்காக அவர் தேர்வானார்.  

• இந்நிலையில், கம்யூனிஸ்டுகளுக்கு எதிரான சித்தாந்தத்தை கொண்ட ரமோன் மகசேசே பெயரில் வழங்கப்படும் விருதை தன்னால் ஏற்க இயலாது என ஷைலஜா அறிவித்துள்ளார்.  

2. சட்டப்பணிகள் ஆணையத்தின் புதிய தலைவர்  

• தேசிய சட்டப்பணிகள் ஆணையத்தின் புதிய தலைவராக உச்ச நீதிமன்ற நீதிபதி டி.ஒய்.சந்திர சூட் நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.  
• தேசிய சட்டசபைகள் ஆணையத்தின் தலைவராக நீதிபதி யூ.யூ.லலித் பதவி வகித்து வந்தார்.  

• அவர் உச்ச நீதிமன்றத்தின் 49வது தலைமை நீதிபதியாக கடந்த மாத இறுதியில் பொறுப்பேற்ற பிறகு தேசிய சட்டப் பணிகள் ஆணைய தலைவர் பதவி காலியானது.  
• அப்பதவி உச்சநீதிமன்றத்தின் இரண்டாவது மூத்த நீதிபதியான டி.ஒய்.சந்திர சூட் நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.  
• அதற்கான உத்தரவு குடியரசு தலைவர் திரௌபதி முர்மு கையொப்பம் பெற்றுள்ளார்.  
• சமூகத்தில் உள்ள விளிம்பு நிலை மக்களுக்கு இலவச சட்ட சேவைகளை வழங்கும் நோக்கில் தேசிய சட்டப் பணிகள் ஆணையம் கடந்த 1987 ஆம் ஆண்டில் நாடாளுமன்ற சட்டத்தின் மூலமாக நிறுவப்பட்டது.  

3. ஹின்னம்னோர் புயல்  

• வலுவான ஹின்னம்னோர் புயல் தாக்கும் அபாயம் உள்ளதையடுத்து சீனா, ஜப்பான் ஆகிய நாடுகளில் முன்னெச்சரிக்கை நடவடிக்கைகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளன.  
• நிகழாண்டின் பெரிய புயலாக ஹின்னம்னோர் புயல் உருவெடுத்துள்ளது.

1. டபுள்யுடிஏ 250 போட்டி  

• சென்னையில் இதுவரை சர்வதேச மகளிர் டென்னிஸ் போட்டியே நடந்ததில்லை.  
• அக்குறையை போக்கும் வகையில் தமிழக முதல்வர் ஸ்டாலின் முயற்சியால் டபுள்யுடிஏ 250 டென்னிஸ் போட்டிய முதன்முதலாக சென்னை நுங்கம்பாக்கம் எஸ்டிஏடி டென்னிஸ் மைதானத்தில் வரும் 12 முதல் 18ஆம் தேதி வரை நடக்கிறது.

1. A sailing Tamil 

• 151st birth anniversary of sailing Tamil V.U.Chitambaran. 

2. Memorandum of Understanding 

• An MoU has been entered into between the IIT Chennai Incubation Unit and Daimler India Business Complex to find solutions for the future transport of the country. 
• The aim of this center is to provide temporary and permanent solutions to make our transportation hassle-free. 
• Through this they are going to encourage those who are willing to find technical solutions for future transportation by giving them advice. 

Central News 

1. Former Kerala minister refuses to receive Magsaysay award 

• Mark Cist Communist Party Central Committee member and former Kerala Health Minister KK Sailaja has refused to receive the Rammon Magsaysay Award given in the name of the former President of the Philippines. 
• He was the president of the Philippines in the 1950s and used a suppression system against the communists by attacking the communist guerrilla movement formed by farmers in the central Luzon region of the country. 
• Ramon Magsaysay died in a plane crash in March 1957. 

• The Rockefeller Brothers Fund (RPF) was established in his honor and the Ramon Magsaysay Award is given annually. 
• This award is given to individuals who have made outstanding contributions in government work, public service, journalism, literature, and community service in the Philippines and other Asian countries. 
• This year Health Minister KK Sailaja was selected for this award before Kerala. 
• He was selected for effectively controlling the Corona epidemic in Kerala. 
• In this case, Shailaja has announced that she cannot accept the award given in the name of Ramon Magsaysay, who has an anti-communist ideology. 

2. New Chairman of Legal Affairs Commission 

• Supreme Court Justice T.Y.Chandra Chute has been appointed as the new Chairman of the National Legal Services Commission. 
• Justice U.U.Lalit was the Chairman of National Assemblies Commission. 
• The post of National Legal Services Commission Chairman fell vacant after he took over as the 49th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court late last month. 

• The second senior judge of the Supreme Court, TY Chandra Chute, has been appointed. 
• President Draupadi Murmu signed the order. 
• The National Legal Services Commission was established by an Act of Parliament in 1987 to provide free legal services to the marginalized sections of the society. 

3. Hinnamnor storm 

• Precautionary measures have been taken in China and Japan following the threat of strong typhoon Hinnamnor. 
• Cyclone Hinnamnor has emerged as the biggest storm of the current year.

1. WTA 250 Competition 

• No international women’s tennis tournament has ever been held in Chennai. 
• The first WUTA 250 tennis tournament will be held from 12th to 18th at Chennai Nungampakkam STAD tennis ground due to efforts of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin.
