1. சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்ற பொறுப்பு தலைமை நீதிபதி நியமனம்

• சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்ற பொறுப்பு தலைமை நீதிபதியாக எம்.துரைசாமி நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
• கடந்த பிப்ரவரி 10ஆம் தேதி சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்ற தலைமை நீதிபதியாக முனீஸ்வரநாத் பண்டரி நியமிக்கப்பட்டார்.
• அவர் வரும் செப்டம்பர் 12ஆம் தேதி ஓய்வு பெறுகிறார்.
• இதையடுத்து உயர்நீதிமன்ற பொறுப்பு தலைமை நீதிபதியாக எம்.துரைசாமி நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக மத்திய சட்டத்துறை அமைச்சகம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

2. தேசிய நல்லாசிரியர் விருது

• தில்லியில் நடைபெற்ற தேசிய நல்லாசிரியர் விருது வழங்கும் விழாவில் குடியரசு தலைவர் திரௌபதி முர்முவிடம் இருந்து விருது பெறும்,
• ராமநாதபுரம் கீழம்பெல் ஊராட்சி ஒன்றிய தொடக்கப்பள்ளி ஆசிரியர் கே.ராமச்சந்திரன்,
• புதுச்சேரி முதலியார் பேட்டை அரசு உயர்நிலைப் பள்ளி ஆசிரியர் டி.அரவிந்தராஜா

3. புதுமை பெண் திட்டம்

• தமிழகத்தில் ரூபாய் 150 கோடியில் அடுத்த நான்கு ஆண்டுகளில் ஒவ்வொரு பள்ளியிலும் ஸ்மார்ட் வகுப்பறை உருவாக்கப்படும் என முதல்வர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் புதுமைப்பெண் திட்ட தொடக்க விழாவில் தெரிவித்தார்.
• பேராசிரியர் அன்பழகன் பெயரிலான பள்ளி மேம்பாட்டு திட்டத்தின் மூலம் ரூபாய் 7500 கோடியில் பள்ளிகளின் உள்கட்டமைப்பு வசதிகள் மேம்படுத்தப்படும் என்றும் முதல்வர் கூறினார்.
• ஏழைப் பெண்களின் திருமணத்துக்கு தாலிக்கு தங்கம் மற்றும் நிதி உதவி வழங்கும் வகையில் தமிழக அரசின் சார்பில் மூவலூர் ராமாமிர்தம் அம்மையார் திருமண உதவித்திட்டம் செயல்படுத்தப்பட்டு வந்தது.
• அண்மையில் இத்திட்டம் மூவலூர் ராமாமிர்தம் அம்மையார் உயர்கல்வி உறுதி திட்டமாக மாற்றப்பட்டது.
• இந்த திட்டத்தின் படி ஆறு முதல் +2 வகுப்பு வரை அரசு பள்ளிகளில் முடித்து உயர்கல்விக்கு செல்லும் மாணவிகளுக்கு மாதம் ரூபாய் ஆயிரம் வழங்கப்படும் என்று அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது.
• இந்த திட்டத்துக்காக ரூபாய் 698 கோடியை ஒதுக்கியதுடன் வழிகாட்டுதல்களும் வெளியிடப்பட்டன.
• மாணவிகளுக்கு மாதம் இத்திட்டத்தின் கீழ் பட்டம், பட்டயம், தொழிற்படிப்பு ஆகியவற்றில் இடைநிற்றல் நின்று முடிக்கும் வரை மாணவிகளுக்கு மாதம் அவர்களது வங்கி கணக்கில் நேரடியாக செலுத்தப்படும் முதல் கட்டமாக இந்த திட்டத்தின் கீழ் ஒரு லட்சம் மாணவிகள் பயன் பெற உள்ளனர்.

1. பிரிட்டன் பிரதமர் ஆகிறார்  லிஸ் டிரஸ்

• பிரிட்டன் பிரதமராக இருக்க போரிஸ் ஜான்சனுக்கு உள்கட்சிலேயே அதிக எதிர்ப்பு எழுந்ததை அடுத்து அவர் பதவியை ராஜினாமா செய்தார்.
• அதைத்தொடர்ந்து கன்சர்வேட்டிவ் கட்சியின் புதிய தலைவரை தேர்ந்தெடுக்க பல்வேறு கட்டங்களாக தேர்தல் நடத்தப்பட்டது.
• இறுதியில் லிஸ் டிரஸ்ஸுக்கும், ரிஷி சுனக்குக்கும் இடையே நேரடி போட்டி நிலவியது.
• கன்சர்வேட்டிவ் கட்சியின் புதிய தலைவராக 47 வயதான லிஸ் டிரஸ் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டார்.
• பிரிட்டனின் புதிய பிரதமராகவும் அவர் பொறுப்பு ஏற்க உள்ளார்.
• அப்பதவியை வகிக்க உள்ள மூன்றாவது பெண் என்று பெருமையையும் லிஸ் டிரஸ் பெற்றுள்ளார்.
• ஏற்கனவே மார்கரேட் தாட்சர், தெரசா மே ஆகியோர் பிரிட்டன் பிரதமராக பதவி வகித்துள்ளன.

2. வங்கதேச பிரதமர் இந்தியா வருகை

• வங்கதேச பிரதமர் ஷேக் ஹசீனா தில்லி வந்தார்.
• இந்தியா வங்கதேசம் இடையே பாயும் குஷியாரா நதிநீரை தற்காலிகமாக பகிர்ந்து கொள்ளும் ஒப்பந்த வடிவத்தை கடந்த மாதம் இரு நாடுகளும் இறுதி செய்தன.
• அந்த ஒப்பந்தம் கையொப்பமாக உள்ளது.
• இது தவிர பாதுகாப்பு வர்த்தகம் உள்ளிட்ட துறைகள் தொடர்பான ஒப்பந்தங்களும் கையொப்பமாகும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.

3. தில்லி ராஜபாதை கடமை பாதையாக பெயர் மாற்றம்

• புது டெல்லியில் உள்ள வரலாற்றுச் சிறப்புமிக்க ராஜபாதையின் பெயரை ‘கர்த்தவ்ய பாதை’ (கடமை பாதை) என பெயர் மாற்றம் செய்ய முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளதாக அரசு வட்டாரங்கள் தெரிவித்துள்ளன.
• புதிய நாடாளுமன்ற வளாகம் குடியரசு துணை தலைவர் மாளிகை உள்ளிட்ட சென்ட்ரல் விஸ்டா திட்டத்தின் கீழ் கட்டடப்பணிகள் விரைவாக நடைபெற்று வருகின்றன.
• தற்போது இந்தியா கேட் அருகே அமைந்துள்ள நேதாஜி சுபாஷ் சந்திர போஸின் சிலையிலிருந்து குடியரசுத் தலைவர் மாளிகை வரை அமைந்துள்ள சாலை ஆங்கிலேயர் ஆட்சி காலத்தில் ‘மன்னரின் பாதை’ என அழைக்கப்பட்டது.
• சுதந்திரத்திற்கு பிறகு இது ‘ராஜபாதையாக’ பெயர் மாற்றம் பெற்றது.
• இப்போது இந்த சாலையின் பெயரை ‘கர்த்தவிய பாதை’ (கடமை பாதை) என பெயர் மாற்றம் செய்ய புதுடில்லி மாநகராட்சி முடிவு செய்துள்ளது.
• முன்னதாக கடந்த 2015 ஆம் ஆண்டில் பிரதமர் இல்லம் அமைந்துள்ள
• ரேஸ் கோர்ஸ் சாலை, ‘லோக் கல்யாண் சாலை’ எனவும்,
• ஔரங்கசீப் சாலை, ஏ.பி.ஜே.அப்துல் கலாம் சாலை எனவும்,
• 2017ல் டல்ஹௌசி சாலை, தாரா ஷிகோ சாலை எனவும்,
• 2018ல் தீன் மூர்த்தி சௌக் என்பது தீன் மூர்த்தி ஹைஃபா சௌக் எனவும் பெயர் மாற்றம் செய்யப்பட்டன என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

4. 2021-ல் மூத்தோர் கொலையில் முதலிடம்

• சமீபத்தில் தேசிய குற்றப்பதிவுகள் வரிசையாக வெளியிடப்பட்ட இந்தியாவின் குற்ற அறிக்கையின்படி, 2021 ஆம் ஆண்டில் நாட்டிலேயே அதிக எண்ணிக்கையிலான முதியோர் கொலைகள் தமிழகத்தில் நடந்துள்ளன.
• 2021ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான தேசிய குற்றப் பதிவுப் பணியகத்தின் இந்தியக் குற்றத்தின் சந்தேகத்திற்கிடமான வேறுபாடு, கொலையால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களில் முதியோர் எண்ணிக்கையில் தமிழகம் முதலிடத்தில் உள்ளது என்பதைக் காட்டுகிறது.
• முதியோர் கொலைகள் விகிதத்திலும் தமிழகம் முதலிடத்தில் உள்ளது.
• 1 லட்சம் முதியோர் மக்கள்தொகைக்கு முதியவர்கள் சம்பந்தப்பட்ட கொலைகளின் எண்ணிக்கையை வரைபடம் காட்டுகிறது.
• அதிக முதியோர் மக்கள்தொகை கொண்ட முதல் 15 மாநிலங்களின் தரவுகளைக் காட்டுகிறது.

• 191 கொலை வழக்குகளில், 60 வயதுக்கு மேற்பட்ட 202 பேர் கொல்லப்பட்டனர்.
• இது மாநிலத்தில் பதிவான 1686 கொலை வழக்குகளில் 11.3% ஆகும்.
• இதில் 1,741 பேர் கொல்லப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.
• முதியவர்கள் சம்பந்தப்பட்ட கொலைகளில் இரண்டாவது அதிக எண்ணிக்கையிலான கொலைகள் மகாராஷ்டிராவில் பதிவாகியுள்ளன.
• அங்கு பதிவான 2,142 கொலை வழக்குகளில் 181 மூத்த குடிமக்கள் பாதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.
• மொத்த கொலை வழக்குகளின் எண்ணிக்கையில் தமிழ்நாடு 7வது இடத்தில் இருந்தாலும், முதியோர் சம்பந்தப்பட்ட வழக்குகளில் தமிழ்நாடு முதலிடத்தில் உள்ளது.
• கீழே உள்ள வரைபடம், அதிக கொலை வழக்குகள் உள்ள முதல் 7 மாநிலங்களையும் முதியவர்கள் சம்பந்தப்பட்ட வழக்குகளின் சதவீதத்தையும் காட்டுகிறது.

1. Appointment of Chief Justice of Madras High Court

• M. Duraisamy has been appointed as the Chief Justice of Madras High Court.
• Muneeswaranath Bhandari was appointed as the Chief Justice of Madras High Court on 10th February.
• He will retire on 12th September.
• Accordingly, the Ministry of Law has announced that M. Duraisamy has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the High Court.

2. National Best Writer Award

• Received the award from President Draupadi Murmu at the National Writer Award Ceremony held in Delhi.

3. Innovative Women Project

• Chief Minister M.K.Stalin said at the inauguration ceremony of Innovation Girl Project that a smart classroom will be created in every school in the next four years at a cost of Rs 150 crore.
• The Chief Minister also said that infrastructure facilities of schools will be improved at a cost of Rs 7500 crore through the School Development Project named after Professor Anbazhagan.
• In order to provide gold and financial assistance to thali for the marriage of poor women, Muvalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Marriage Assistance Scheme was implemented by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
• Recently this scheme was changed to Muvalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme.
• According to this scheme, it was announced that the girl students who have completed 6th to 12th standard in government schools and are going for higher education will be given 1000 rupees per month.
• An allocation of Rs 698 crores was also issued for this scheme.
• One lakh students will be benefited under this scheme in the first phase of direct monthly payments to the students’ bank accounts till they complete their graduation, diploma, vocational course under this scheme.

1. Liz Truss becomes Prime Minister of Britain

• Boris Johnson resigns as UK Prime Minister amid strong internal opposition.
• Subsequently elections were held in various phases to elect the new leader of the Conservative Party.
• In the end there was a direct match between Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak.
• Liz Truss, 47, has been elected as the new leader of the Conservative Party.
• He is also going to take charge as the new Prime Minister of Britain.
• Liz Truss is also the third woman to hold the position.
• Margaret Thatcher and Theresa May have already served as Prime Minister of Britain.

2. Bangladesh Prime Minister’s visit to India

• Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in Delhi.
• Last month, the two countries finalized a draft agreement to temporarily share the water of the Kushiara River between India and Bangladesh.
• That agreement is signed.
• Apart from this, agreements related to sectors including defense trade are also expected to be signed.

3. Renaming of Delhi Rajpath as duty line

• It has been decided to rename the historic Rajpath in New Delhi as ‘Khatavya Patha’ (Duty Path), government sources said.
• The construction work under the Central Vista project including the new Parliament complex including the Vice President’s House is progressing rapidly.
• The road from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s statue near India Gate to the President’s House was called ‘King’s Path’ during the British rule.
• After independence it was renamed as ‘Rajapatha’.
• Now the New Delhi Corporation has decided to rename this road as ‘Karthaviya Patha’ (Duty Path).
• Earlier in 2015, the Prime Minister’s House was located
• Race Course Road, also known as ‘Lok Kalyan Road’.
• Aurangzeb Road, APJ Abdul Kalam Road,
• In 2017 Dalhousie Road, Tara Shiko Road,
• In 2018, Deen Murthy Chowk was renamed as Deen Murthy Haifa Chowk.

4. Top in murder of seniors in 2021

• Tamil Nadu has the highest number of elderly murders in the country in 2021, according to India’s crime report, which was recently released as a series of national crime records.
• The National Crime Records Bureau’s Suspicious Distinction of Indian Crime 2021 shows that Tamil Nadu has the highest number of elderly homicide victims.
• Tamil Nadu also ranks first in the rate of elderly murders.
• The graph shows the number of homicides involving the elderly per 1 lakh elderly population.
• Shows data of top 15 states with highest elderly population.

• Though Tamil Nadu ranks 7th in the total number of homicide cases, Tamil Nadu ranks first in cases involving the elderly.
