 1. வானவில் மன்றம்

• ‘எங்கும் அறிவியல்-யாதும் கணிதம்‘ என்பதை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டு தமிழகத்தில் 13,210 அரசுப் பள்ளிகளில் வானவில் மன்றம் திட்டத்தை முதல்வர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின், திருச்சியில் தொடக்கிவைத்தார்.
• திருச்சி காட்டூர், பாப்பாக்குறிச்சி ஆதிதிராவிடர் நல பெண்கள் மேல்நிலைப் பள்ளியில் நடைபெற்ற இந்த விழாவின் ஒரு பகுதியாக, 100 நடமாடும் அறிவியல் ஆய்வகங்கள் மற்றும் இருசக்கர வாகனங்களில் பயிற்சி அளிக்க செல்லும் தன்னார்வலர்களையும் முதல்வர் கொடியசைத்து வழி அனுப்பிவைத்தார்.
• அரசுப் பள்ளிகளில் 6 முதல் 8- ஆம் வகுப்பு வரை பயிலும் மாணவர், மாணவிகளிடையே அறிவியல் மற்றும் கணிதம் குறித்த ஆர்வத்தை ஏற்படுத்துதல், மாணவர்களிடம் இயல்பாகவே உள்ள படைப்பாற்றல் ஆர்வத்தை வளர்த்தெடுத்தல், புதுமைகளைக் காணும் மனப்பாங்கை வளர்த்தெடுத்தல், அன்றாட வாழ்க்கையிலுள்ள அறிவியலை உணர்தல், சமூகவியல், இலக்கியத்துடனான அறிவியலைப் புரிந்து கொள்ளுதல் ஆகியவையே இந்த திட்டத்தின் நோக்கங்களாகும்.
• இந்தத் திட்டத்திற்கு 710 கருத்தாளர்கள் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.
• 710 கருத்தாளர்களுக்கும் இருசக்கர வாகனங்கள் வழங்கப்பட்டு நடமாடும் அறிவியல் மற்றும் கணிதப் பரிசோதனை ஏதுவாளர்களாக செயல்படுவர்.
• இத்திட்டத்துக்காக ரூ.25 கோடி ஒதுக்கீடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• 25 லட்சம் மாணவர், மாணவிகள் பயன்பெறுகின்றனர்.

ராக்கெட்

1. ஸ்ரீஹரிகோட்டாவில் பயன்பாட்டுக்கு வந்தது தனியார் ராக்கெட் ஏவுதளம்

• ஆந்திர மாநிலம் ஸ்ரீஹரிகோட்டாவில் உள்ள சதீஷ் தவண் விண்வெளி ஆராய்ச்சி மையத்தில் தனியார் புத்தாக்க நிறுவனம் சார்பில் அமைக்கப்பட்ட புதிய ஏவுதளம் பயன்பாட்டுக்கு கொண்டு வரப்பட்டது.
• இஸ்ரோ தலைவர் சோம்நாத் அந்த ஏவுதளத்தை கடந்த 25-ஆம் தேதி தொடக்கிவைத்தார்.
• சென்னை ஐஐடியுடன் ஒருங்கிணைந்து செயல்படும் ‘அக்னிகுல் காஸ்மோஸ்’ எனும் நிறுவனம் இந்த ஏவுதளத்தை அமைத்துள்ளது.
• ‘அக்னிபான்’ எனப்படும் ராக்கெட் காப்புரிமை பெற்ற பகுதி கிரயோஜெனிக் என்ஜினைக் கொண்டு வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டது. அதனை ஏவுவதற்கு பிரத்யேகமாக இருக்கக் கூடிய ஏவுதளம் தேவை. அதனைப் பூர்த்தி செய்யவே இந்த ஏவு தளத்தை கட்டமைத்துள்ளோம் என்று இஸ்ரோ தலைவர் சோம்நாத் தெரிவித்தார்.
• ராக்கெட், செயற்கைக்கோள் மட்டுமல்லாது விண்வெளி ஆய்வுத் திட்டங்களுக்கான கட்டமைப்பு வசதிகளையும் தனியார் நிறுவனங்கள் மேற்கொள்வதற்கான சிறப்புத் திட்டமான ‘இன்ஸ்பேஸ்’ கடந்த 2020-இல் தொடங்கப்பட்டது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

மாநில செய்திகள்

 1. சென்னை ஐஐடியில் மாணவர்களே உருவாக்கிய மின் பந்தய கார்

• மின்சாரத்தால் இயங்கும் பந்தய வாகனத்தை சென்னை ஐஐடி பேராசிரியர்கள் உதவியோடு 45 மாணவர்கள் கொண்ட குழு (‘ராஃப்தார்) உருவாக்கி சாதனை படைத்துள்ளது.
• இந்த காருக்கு ஆர்.எஃப்.ஆர்.23 என பெயரிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. ‘ஸ்டூடண்ட் பார்முலா’ பந்தயங்களில் இந்த கார் பயன்படுத்தப்பட உள்ளது.
• லித்தியம் அயன் பேட்டரியால் பந்தயக்காருக்கான பேட்டரி வடிவமைக்கப் பட்டுள்ளது.ஒருமுறை சார்ஜ் செய்தால் இந்த காரை அரை மணி நேரம் வரை இயக்கமுடியும்.
• இந்த வாகனம் சாலையில் செல்லும் போது, ஆரம்பக்கட்டமாக 4 விநாடியில் 100 கி.மீ. வேகத்தில் செல்லும் திறன் கொண்டது. அதிகபட்சம் 160 கி.மீ. வேகத்திலும் இந்தக் காரை இயக்க முடியும்.
• மின் வாகனங்களில் பயன்படுத்தப்படும் பேட்டரிகளில் ஏற்படும் பிரச்னைகளால் வாகனங்கள் அடிக்கடி தற்போது அடிக்கடி தீப்பற்றி எரிகின்றன.
• இதனை தடுக்கும் வகையில் thermal management system மற்றும் பேட்டரி கூலிங் தொழில்நுட்பம் ஆகிய தொழில் நுட்பங்கள் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளன.

நியமனம்

 1. வெளியுறவுச் செயலர் வினய் குவாத்ராவுக்கு 2024 வரை பணி நீட்டிப்பு

• பணி நீட்டிப்பு தொடர்பாக மத்திய பணியாளர் அமைச்சகம் வெளியிட்டுள்ள அரசாணையில், வினய் மோகன் குவாத்ரா பணி ஓய்வு பெறும் வரும் டிசம்பர் 31-இல் இருந்து 2024 ஏப்ரல் மாதம் இறுதி வரை அல்லது மறு உத்தரவு வரும் வரை அவரது பணிக் காலத்தை நீட்டிக்க அமைச்சகத்தின் பணி நியமனக்குழு ஒப்புதல் அளிக்கிறது எனக் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளது.
• ஜி-20 தலைமைப் பொறுபில் உள்ள இந்தியா அடுத்த ஆண்டு ஜி-20 மாநாட்டை நடத்தவுள்ள நிலையில் குவாத்ராவின் பணி நீட்டிப்பு முக்கியத்துவம் பெற்றுள்ளது.
• இந்தியாவின் அண்டை நாடுகள், அமெரிக்கா, சீனா மற்றும் ஐரோப்பிய நாடுகளுடன் ராஜீய உறவுகளைக் கையாள்வதில் குவாத்ரா அனுபவம் வாய்ந்தவர் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

கூட்டுபயிற்சி

 1. இந்திய-மலேசிய கூட்டு ராணுவப் பயிற்சி தொடக்கம்

• இந்தியா-மலேசியா ஆகிய இரு நாடுகளின் ராணுவங்கள் இணைந்து மேற்கொள்ளும் ஹரிமாவ் சக்தி-2022 எனும் கூட்டு ராணுவப் பயிற்சி மலேசியாவின் க்ளுவாங்கில் உள்ள புலாயில் தொடங்கியது.
• இந்திய ராணுவத்தின் கர்வால் ரைஃபிள் படையும், மலேசிய ராணுவத்தின் ராயல் மலாய் படையும் இந்தக் கூட்டுப் பயிற்சியில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ளன.
• வனப் பகுதிகளில் பல்வேறு ராணுவ நடவடிக்கைகளைத் திட்டமிட்டு செயல்படுத்தும் முறையை மேம்படுத்துவதை நோக்கமாக கொண்ட இப்பயிற்சி வரும் டிசம்பர் 12-ஆம் தேதி நிறைவடைகிறது.
• ‘ஹரிமாவ் சக்தி’ எனும் இப்பயிற்சி கடந்த 2012ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் இந்திய மற்றும் மலேசிய ராணுவங்களுக்கு இடையே ஆண்டுதோறும் நடைபெற்று வருவது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

• விஜய் ஹஸாரே கிரிக்கெட் போட்டியில் உத்தர பிரதேசத்துக்கு எதிரான காலிறுதி ஆட்டத்தில் மகாராஷ்டிர கேப்டன் ருதுராஜ் கெய்க்வாட் ஒரு ஓவரில் 7 சிக்ஸர்கள் விளாசி, ‘லிஸ்ட் ஏ’ கிரிக்கெட்டில் புதிய உலக சாதனை புரிந்தார்.
• அந்த ஓவரில் மொத்தமாக 43 ரன்கள் எடுக்கப்பட்டன.

நோய்கள்

 1. குரங்கு அம்மைக்கு புதிய பெயர்

• குரங்கு அம்மைக்கு எம்-அம்மை என்று உலக சுகாதார அமைப்பு பெயரிட்டுள்ளது.
• தொடக்கத்தில் குரங்குகள் இடையே பரவிய அந்த நோய், தற்போது மனிதர்களிடையே, அதிலும் ஆப்பிரிக்க நாடுகளில் அதிகமாகப் பரவும் நிலையில், குரங்கு அம்மை என்ற பெயர் கருப்பினத்தவர்களை இழிவுபடுத்தக் கூடும். என்பதால் புதிய பெயர் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• குரங்கு அம்மை என்ற பெயரின் பயன்பாடு படிப்படியாகக் குறைக்கப்படும் என்று உலக சுகாதார அமைப்பு கூறியுள்ளது.

விருது

 1. தமிழகத்தைச் சேர்ந்த 4 கைவினைக்கலைஞர்கள் விருது

• தமிழகத்தைச் சேர்ந்த 4 கைவினைக்கலைஞர்கள் உள்பட நாடு முழுவதும் மொத்தம் 108 கைவினைக் கலைஞர்களுக்கு விருதுகளை குடியரசு துணைத் தலைவர் ஜகதீப் தன்கர் வழங்கினார்.
• மத்திய ஜவுளித் துறை சார்பில் கைவினைஞர்களின் சிறப்பான செயல்திறன், ஜவுளித் துறையின் மதிப்புமிக்க பங்களிப்புக்காக விருதுகள் வழங்கப்படுகின்றன.
• கரோனா நோய்த்தொற்றால் வழங்கப்படாமல் இருந்த கடந்த 2017, 2018, 2019 ஆகிய 3 ஆண்டுகளுக்கான சில்ப் குரு, தேசிய விருதுகள் வழங்கும் நிகழ்வு தில்லி விஞ்ஞான் பவனில் நடைபெற்றது.
• சில்ப் குரு விருது:
• மத்திய அரசின் உயர்ந்தகைவினைக்கலைஞர்களுக்கான சில்ப் குரு விருது பத்மஸ்ரீ விருது பெற்ற புதுச்சேரி, வில்லியனூரைச் சேர்ந்த சுடு மண்பாண்ட (டெரக்கோட்டா) கலைஞர் வி.கே.முனுசாமி (2017), பிரபல ஓவியர் வீரப்பெருமாள் பிள்ளை பேரனும் சென்னையைச் சேர்ந்த தஞ்சாவூர் ஓவியக் கலைஞருமான வி.பன்னீர்செல்வம் (2019) உள்பட மொத்தம் 30 பேர் பெற்றுள்ளனர்.
• தேசிய விருதுகள்:
• புதுச்சேரியைச் சேர்ந்த கே.வெங்கடேசன் (டெரக்கோட்டா), மாசிலாமணி (ஷோலாபித் கிராஃட்) ஆகியோருக்கு 2019 -ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான தேசிய விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது.
• இவர்கள் உள்பட மொத்தம் 78 பேர் விருது பெற்றனர்.
• இந்த விருதுகள் 1965-ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் வழங்கப் பட்டுவருகின்றன.

Scheme

  1. Vanavil manram scheme

• Chief Minister M.K.Stalin launched the Vanavil Forum program in 13,210 government schools in Tamil Nadu based on ‘Science Everywhere-Mathematics’ in Trichy.
• Chief Minister also flagged off 100 mobile science labs and volunteers for training on two-wheelers as part of the function held at Papakurichi Adi Dravidar Nala Girls Higher Secondary School, Trichy Kattur.
• The objectives of this project are to instill interest in science and mathematics among male and female students studying from 6th to 8th standard in government schools, to develop natural creativity in students, to develop attitude to see innovations, to realize science in daily life, to understand science with sociology and literature.
• 710 consultants have been selected for this project.
• 710 examinees will be provided with two-wheelers and will act as mobile science and maths test takers.
• An allocation of Rs.25 crore has been made for this project.
• 25 lakh male and female students are benefited.

Rocket

   1. A private rocket launch pad came into use at Sriharikota

• A new launch pad set up by a private innovation company was commissioned at the Satish Dhawan Space Research Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
• ISRO Chairman Somnath inaugurated the launch pad on 25th.
• The launch pad has been set up by ‘agnikul Cosmos’, a company working in coordination with IIT, Chennai.
• The rocket called ‘agnibaan ‘ was designed with a patented partial cryogenic engine. It requires a dedicated launch pad to launch it. ISRO Chairman Somnath said that we have built this launch pad to fulfill that.
• It is noteworthy that ‘Inspace’, a special project for private companies to carry out structural facilities for not only rockets and satellites but also space exploration projects, was launched in 2020.

State News

   1. An electric racing car built by students at IIT Chennai

• A team of 45 students (‘Raftar’) with the help of IIT Chennai professors has created an electric racing vehicle.
• This car is named as RFR23. The car will be used in ‘Student Formula’ races.
• Lithium Ion battery is designed for racer. A single charge can run this car for up to half an hour.
• When this vehicle is on the road, initially it can reach 100 kmph in 4 seconds. Capable of speed. Maximum 160 km. This car can also be driven at high speed.
• Due to problems with the batteries used in electric vehicles, vehicles often catch fire nowadays.
• In order to prevent this, thermal management system and battery cooling technology have been used.

Appointment

  1. Extension of tenure of Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Quatra till 2024

• In an order issued by the Union Ministry of Personnel regarding the extension of service, it has been mentioned that the Appointments Committee of the Ministry has approved the extension of the service period of Vinay Mohan Quatra from the date of his retirement on December 31, 2024 till the end of April 2024 or until further orders.
• With India hosting the G-20 summit next year, Quadra’s extension has gained significance.
• Notably, Kwatra is experienced in handling diplomatic relations with India’s neighbours, the US, China and European countries.

Military Exercise

 1. India-Malaysia joint military exercise begins

• Joint military exercise Harimau Shakti-2022, which is being conducted jointly by the armies of India and Malaysia, has started in Pulai, Kluang, Malaysia.
• Indian Army’s Garhwal Rifles and Malaysian Army’s Royal Malay Force are involved in this joint exercise.
• This exercise, which aims to improve the way of planning and executing various military operations in forest areas, will end on December 12.
• It is noteworthy that this exercise named ‘Harimau Shakti’ has been held annually between the Indian and Malaysian armies since 2012.

  1. Vijay Hazare Cricket Match

• In the quarter-final match against Uttar Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Cricket Tournament, Maharashtra captain Ruduraj Gaekwad smashed 7 sixes in an over to set a new world record in ‘List A’ cricket.
• A total of 43 runs were scored in that over.

Diseases

 1. New name for monkey measles

• Monkey measles is named M-measles by World Health Organization.
• The name monkey measles may be derogatory to blacks, as the disease, which first spread among monkeys, is now widespread among humans, especially in African countries. Hence the new name has been given.
• The World Health Organization has said that the use of the name monkey measles will be phased out.

Award

  1. Awarded 4 artisans from Tamil Nadu

• Vice President Jagdeep dhankar presented awards to a total of 108 artisans across the country, including 4 artisans from Tamil Nadu.
• Awards are presented by the Central Textile Department for outstanding performance of artisans and valuable contribution to the textile industry.
• The Silb Guru National Awards ceremony for the last 3 years 2017, 2018 and 2019, which was not presented due to the Corona virus, was held at Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi.
• Silb Guru Award:
• A total of 30 people have received the Central Government’s Silb Guru Award for top artisans, including Puducherry, Willianur-based terracotta artist VK Munuswamy (2017), Padma Shri awardee, Thanjavur painter V. Panneerselvam (2019), son of famous painter Veeraperumal Pillai and Chennai-based Thanjavur artist.
• National Awards:
• K. Venkatesan (Terracotta) and Masilamani (Sholapith Craft) from Puducherry were awarded the National Award for the year 2019.
• A total of 78 people received the award including them.
• These awards are being presented since 1965.
