  1. நாட்டில் வருமான வரி விதிப்பு அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டதை நினைவுகூரும் வகையில், வருமான வரித் துறை ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஜூலை 24 ஆம் தேதியை வருமான வரி தினம் அல்லது ‘ஆய்கார் திவாஸ்’ என்று அனுசரிக்கிறது. ஜூலை 24, 1860 இல், சர் ஜேம்ஸ் வில்சன் இந்தியாவில் முதல் முறையாக வருமான வரியை அறிமுகப்படுத்தினார்.
  2. குரங்கு அம்மை சர்வதேச சுகாதார நெருக்கடி
    1. குரங்கு அம்மை நோய் சர்வதேச சுகாதார அவசர நிலையாக உலக சுகாதார அமைப்பு அறிவித்துள்ளது.
    2. குரங்கு அம்மை நோயை கட்டுப்படுத்துவதற்கு முன்னெச்சரிக்கை நடவடிக்கைகளை மேற்கொள்ளுமாறு உலக நாடுகளை அந்த அமைப்பு கேட்டுக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
    3. 75 நாடுகளில் 16 ஆயிரத்திற்கும் அதிகமானோருக்கு குரங்கு அம்மை பாதிப்பு உறுதி செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளதாக உலக சுகாதார அமைப்பின் தலைமை இயக்குநர் திரு டெட்ராஸ் அதானம் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
  3. தேசியக்கொடியை இனி இரவிலும் பறக்கவிட அனுமதி
    1. வீடுகளில் பொதுமக்கள் தேசியக்கொடியை பகலில் மட்டுமல்லாது இரவிலும் பறக்க விடலாம் எனவும் எந்திரத்தால் செய்த தேசியக்கொடியை ஏற்றவும் பாலியஸ்டர் தேசியக்கொடியை பயன்படுத்தி வீடுகளில் கொடியேற்றலாம் எனவும் மத்திய அரசு அனுமதி அளித்துள்ளது.
    2. நமது தேசியக்கொடியை சூரிய உதயத்தில் இருந்து பறக்க விடலாம், சூரிய அஸ்தமனத்துக்கு முன்பாக இறக்கி விட வேண்டும். இதுதான் சட்ட நடைமுறை. ஆனால் இப்போது இதில் மாற்றம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
    3. நம் நாடு விடுதலை அடைந்ததை கொண்டாடும் வகையிலும் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஆகஸ்ட் 15ஆம் தேதி சுதந்திர தின விழா கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. அந்த வகையில், 75ஆவது சுதந்திர தின விழா, நடப்பாண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 15ஆம் தேதி கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. இது பவள ஆண்டு என்பதால், கோலாகலமாக கொண்டாட மத்திய, மாநில அரசுகள் பல்வேறு ஏற்பாடுகளை செய்து வருகின்றன. ‘ஆசாதி கா அம்ரித் மஹோத்சவ்’ என்ற பெயரில் மத்திய அரசு இதனை கொண்டாடி வருகிறது.
  4. நவரத்தின ஆபரண ஏற்றுமதி: ரூபாய் 25,239 கோடி
    1. இந்தியாவின் நவரத்தினங்கள் மற்றும் ஆபரணங்கள் ஏற்றுமதி ஜூன் காலாண்டில் ரூ.25,295 கோடியாக வளா்ச்சி கண்டுள்ளதாக நவரத்தின மற்றும் ஆபரணங்கள் ஏற்றுமதி மேம்பாட்டு கவுன்சில் (ஜிஜேஇபிசி) தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
    2. ஜூன் மாத ஏற்றுமதி: கடந்த ஆண்டுடன் ஒப்பிடுகையில் நிகழாண்டு ஜூன் மாதத்தில் நவரத்தினங்கள் மற்றும் ஆபரணங்களின் ஏற்றுமதி 21.41 சதவீதம் அதிகரித்து ரூ.25,295 கோடியைத் (3,241.38 மில்லியன் டாலா்) தொட்டுள்ளது. 2021 ஜூனில் இந்த ஏற்றுமதியானது ரூ.20,835.57 கோடியாக (2,830.79 மில்லியன் டாலா்) காணப்பட்டது.
    3. ஏப்ரல்-ஜூன்: 2022 ஏப்ரல் முதல் ஜூன் வரையிலான காலாண்டில் இவற்றின் ஏற்றுமதி ரூ.77,049.76 கோடியைத் (9,983.78 மில்லியன் டாலா்) தொட்டுள்ளது. 2021 ஏப்ரல்-ஜூனில் ஆபரண ஏற்றுமதி ரூ.67,231.25 கோடியாக (9,110.48 மில்லியன் டாலா்) இருந்தது.
    4. பொருளாதார ஒப்பந்தம்: ஐக்கிய அரபு அமீரகம் (யுஏஇ) உடன் மேற்கொண்ட பொருளாதார ஒத்துழைப்பு ஒப்பந்தத்தின் விளைவாக மத்திய கிழக்கு நாடுகளுக்கான நவரத்தின மற்றும் ஆபரண ஏற்றுமதி சிறப்பான அளவில் மேம்பாடு காணத் தொடங்கியுள்ளது.
    5. மே 1-இல் செயலாக்கம்: இந்தியா-யுஏஇ இடையேயான பொருளாதார ஒத்துழைப்பு ஒப்பந்தம் (சிஇபிஏ) கடந்த மே மாதம் 1-ஆம் தேதி முதல் செயல்பாட்டுக்கு வந்தது. இதையடுத்து, அந்த மாதத்தில் யுஏஇ-க்கான தங்க ஆபரண ஏற்றுமதி 72 சதவீத வளா்ச்சியை எட்டி ரூ.1,048.40 கோடியானது. இது, அடுத்த ஜூன் மாதத்தில் 68.65 சதவீத வளா்ச்சியை பதிவு செய்து ரூ.1,451.58 கோடியானது.
  5. மெக்லாலின் புதிய  சாதனை

    2. உலக தடகள சாம்பியன்ஷிப் போட்டி அமெரிக்காவின் ஒரேகான் மாகாணத்தில் உள்ள யூஜின் நகரில் நடைபெற்று வருகிறது. இதில் 400 மீட்டர் தடை ஓட்டத்தில் அமெரிக்காவை சேர்ந்த சிட்னி மெக்லாலின் 50.68 வினாடிகளில் கடந்து, முதல் இடத்தை பிடித்து தங்கம் வென்றார். இதன் மூலம் உலக சாதனையையும் முறியடித்துள்ளார்.
    3. பிறகு 2 வது இடத்தில் நெதர்லாந்தின் ஃபெம்கேப் போல் 52.27 வினாடிகளிலும், 3 வது இடத்தில் நடப்பு உலக சாம்பியனான தலிலா முஹம்மது 53.13 வினாடிகளில் கடந்து வெண்கல பதக்கத்தை கைப்பற்றினார்.
    4. இதில் முதலிடம் பிடித்த சிட்னி மெக்லாலின், இதற்கு முன்னராக டோக்கியோ ஒலிம்பிக்கில் வெண்கலப் பதக்கம் வென்றிருந்தது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

  2. Monkey measles is an international health crisis
    1. The World Health Organization has declared monkey measles an international health emergency.
    2. The organization has urged countries around the world to take precautionary measures to control monkey measles.
    3. Director-General of the World Health Organization, Mr. Tedros Adhanam, said that more than 16,000 cases of monkey measles have been confirmed in 75 countries.
  3. Allowed to fly the national flag at night too
    1. The central government has allowed citizens to fly the national flag at their homes not only during the day but also at night, and the machine-made national flag can be hoisted using the polyester national flag at their homes.
    2. Our national flag can be flown from sunrise and must be lowered before sunset. This is the legal procedure. But now it has changed.
    3. Independence Day is celebrated every year on 15th August to celebrate the independence of our country. Accordingly, the 75th Independence Day is being celebrated on 15th August this year. As this is the year of Coral, the central and state governments are making various arrangements to celebrate it in a grand manner. The central government is celebrating it in the name of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
  4. Navaratna jewelery exports: Rs 25,239 crore
    1. India’s gems and jewelery exports grew to Rs 25,295 crore in the June quarter, according to the Gems and Jewelery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC).
    2. Exports in June: Compared to last year, exports of gems and ornaments in June this year increased by 21.41 percent to Rs 25,295 crore ($3,241.38 million). In June 2021, these exports were seen at Rs 20,835.57 crore ($2,830.79 million).
    3. April-June: Their exports touched Rs 77,049.76 crore ($9,983.78 million) during the April-June quarter of 2022. Jewelery exports in April-June 2021 stood at Rs 67,231.25 crore ($9,110.48 million).
    4. Economic Agreement: As a result of the Economic Cooperation Agreement with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Navratri and jewelery exports to the Middle East countries have started to improve significantly.
    5. Implementation on May 1: The India-UAE Economic Cooperation Agreement (CEPA) came into effect on May 1 last year. Subsequently, gold jewelery exports to the UAE reached Rs 1,048.40 crore, a growth of 72 per cent in that month. It registered a growth of 68.65 per cent to Rs 1,451.58 crore in the following June.
  5. McLaughlin’s new record
    1. Sydney McLaughlin has broken the world record by crossing the finish line in less than a second to win gold at the World Athletics Championships.
    2. The World Athletics Championships are being held in Eugene, Oregon, USA. Sydney McLaughlin of the United States won gold in the 400m hurdles with a time of 50.68 seconds. With this, he has broken the world record.
    3. Femcap of the Netherlands was second in 52.27 seconds and defending world champion Dalila Muhammad was third in 53.13 seconds to clinch the bronze medal. Sidney McLaughlin, who won the first place, had previously won a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
