1. நடக்கலாம் வாங்க கோரிக்கை மனுக்களை தாங்க
- சென்னை மாநகராட்சி சார்பில் நடந்து சென்று பொதுமக்களிடம் குறைகள் கேட்கும் ‘நடக்கலாம் வாங்க கோரிக்கை மனுக்களை தாங்க‘ என்ற திட்டத்தை மக்கள் நல்வாழ்வுத்துறை அமைச்சர் மா.சுப்பிரமணியன் தொடக்கி வைத்தார்.
- அனைத்துவித சாலைகளிலும் பொதுமக்களுடனே நடந்து சென்று அவர்களிடம் குறைகளை கேட்டறிந்து அவற்றை நிவர்த்தி செய்வதே இந்த திட்டத்தின் நோக்கமாகும்.
- மேலும் தினமும் நடை பயிற்சி மேற்கொண்டு உடல் நலத்தின் அவசியத்தையும் மக்களிடம் உணர்த்தப்படும்.
- இதுகுறித்து அந்தந்த பகுதியின் பொதுமக்களுக்கு முன்பாகவே தகவல் தெரிவிக்கப்படும்.
- முதியோர் உதவித்தொகை போன்ற கோரிக்கைகளும் இந்த நேரடி குறைத்தீர் திட்டத்தில் நிறைவேற்றப்படும்.

2. உலக உணவு நாள்
- தமிழகத்தில் கடந்த ஓராண்டில் 13.49 லட்சம் புதிய குடும்ப அட்டைகள் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக உணவுத்துறை அமைச்சர் அர.சக்கரபாணி தெரிவித்தார்.
- ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் சபை சார்பாக 1979 ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் ஆண்டுதோறும் அக்டோபர் 16ஆம் தேதி உலக உணவு நாள் கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.
- இந்த ஆண்டு ‘எல்லோருக்கும் எல்லாம்– சிறந்த உற்பத்தி, சிறந்த சத்துணவு, சிறந்த சூழல் மற்றும் வாழ்வு‘ என்பதை நோக்கி செயல்பட வேண்டுமென ஐநா உணவு மற்றும் வேளாண்மை அமைப்பு வலியுறுத்தியுள்ளது.

2. கடுமையாகும் மாசு கட்டுப்பாட்டு விதிகள்
- அடுத்த ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் மாதம் முதல் அமலுக்கு வரவிருக்கும் மத்திய அரசின் கடுமையான மாசுக்கட்டுப்பாட்டு விதிமுறைகளுக்கு ஏற்ப வாகன உற்பத்தியாளர்கள் தங்களது தயாரிப்புகளின் தரத்தை மேம்படுத்தி வருவதால் இந்திய சந்தையில் கார்கள் மற்றும் வர்த்தக வாகனங்களின் விலை கணிசமாக அதிகரிக்கும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.
- வாகனங்கள் வெளியிடும் மாசு கட்டுப்பாடுகளின் அளவை நிர்ணயிக்கும் இந்தியாவின் புதிய தர அளவான பாரத் ஸ்டேஜ் 6–ன் இரண்டாவது கட்டம் அடுத்த ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் மாதம் முதல் அமலுக்கு வரவிருக்கிறது.
- ஐரோப்பிய தர அளவான யூரோ 6–க்கு இணையாக பாரத் ஸ்டேஜ் 6-ன் இரண்டாவது கட்டத்தில் தர அளவுகள் நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
- புதிய கட்டுப்பாட்டு விதிமுறைகளின் படி இந்திய சந்தையில் விற்பனை செய்யப்படும் வாகனங்களில் அவை இயங்கும்போது என்னென்ன மாசுகளை வெளியிடுகின்றன என்பதை உடனுக்குடன் வெளிக்காட்டும் நவீன கருவிகளை பொருத்த வேண்டியது அவசியமாகும்.
- இரண்டாம் கட்ட பாரத் ஸ்டேஜ்-6 தர நிர்ணயங்களுக்கு ஏற்ப அந்த வாகனங்கள் செயல்படுகின்றனவா என்பதை துல்லியமாக கணிப்பதற்காக இது கட்டாயமாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- ஒருவேளை வாகனத்தை இயக்கும்போது இரண்டாம் கட்ட பாரத் ஸ்டேஜ்-6 நிர்ணயத்துள்ள அளவுக்கு மேல் மாசுக்கள் வெளியேறினால் அந்த கருவி எச்சரிக்கை ஒலி எழுப்பும் அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து மாசு வெளியேற்றத்தை குறைக்கும் வகையில் வாகனங்களை பழுது பார்த்த பிறகு அவற்றை தொடர்ந்து இயக்க முடியும்.

2. World Food Day
- Food Minister A. Chakrapani said that 13.49 lakh new family cards have been issued in Tamil Nadu in the last one year.
- World Food Day is observed on 16th October every year since 1979 on behalf of the United Nations.
- The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations has emphasized this year to work towards ‘Everything for All – Better Production, Better Nutrition, Better Environment and Livelihood’.

2. Stricter pollution control rules
- Prices of cars and commercial vehicles in the Indian market are expected to increase significantly as automakers improve the quality of their products in line with the central government’s stringent pollution control regulations that will come into force from April next year.
