மாநில செய்திகள் 

 1. தமிழகத்தில் 6.18 கோடி வாக்காளர்கள்: பெண்களே அதிகம் 

• தமிழகம் முழுவதும் வரைவு வாக்காளர் பட்டியல் வெளியிடப்பட்டது. இதன்படி, தமிழகத்தில் மொத்தமாக 6 கோடியே 18 லட்சத்து 26 ஆயிரத்து 182 வாக்காளர்கள் உள்ளனர். அவர்களில் ஆண்களை விட பெண் வாக்காளர்களே அதிகம். 

• வரைவு வாக்காளர் பட்டியலின் அடிப்படையில், தமிழ்நாட்டில் இப்போது 6 கோடியே 18 லட்சத்து 26 ஆயிரத்து 182 வாக்காளர்கள் உள்ளனர்.  
• அவர்களில் ஆண்கள் 3 கோடியே 3 லட்சத்து 95 ஆயிரத்து 103 பேரும், பெண்கள் 3 கோடியே 14 லட்சத்து 23 ஆயிரத்து 321 பேரும், மூன்றாம் பாலினத்தவர் 7 ஆயிரத்து 758 பேரும் உள்ளனர்.  
• மாநிலத்திலேயே அதிகளவு வாக்காளர்களைக் கொண்ட பேரவைத் தொகுதியாக சோழிங்கநல்லூர் தொகுதியும், குறைந்த வாக்காளர்களைக் கொண்ட தொகுதியாக துறைமுகம் தொகுதியும் உள்ளன.

மருந்து 

 1. இந்திய 2டிஜி மருந்து 

• கரோனா பாதிப்புக்கு உள்ளானவர்களுக்கு, நெஞ்சில் எரிச்சல், ரத்தம் உறைதல், மாரடைப்பு போன்ற பாதிப்புகள் குறைந்தது ஓராண்டுக்கு ஏற்படுகிறது.  

• கரோனா வைரஸில் உள்ள ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட புரோட்டீன், இதய திசுக்கள் பாதிப்புக்கு காரணம் என்பதை அமெரிக்காவின் மேரிலேண்ட் பல்கலைக்கழக ஆராய்சியாளர்கள் கண்டுபிடித்தனர். 
• இந்த பாதிப்பை குணப்படுத்த இந்தியாவில் டாக்டர் ரெட்டிஸ் லேபரெட்டரி, ராணுவ ஆராய்ச்சி மேம்பாட்டு மையத்துடன் டிஆர்டிஓ இணைந்து ‘2டிஜி (2 டியாக்சி–டி–குளுக்கோஸ்) என்ற பவுடர் மருந்தை உருவாக்கினர். 
• இதை வாய் வழியாக சாப்பிட வேண்டும். இந்த மருந்து, உடலில் சக்திக்கு காரணமான குளுக்கோஸ் உடைவதை தடுத்து, வைரஸின் வளர்ச்சியை தடுக்கிறது. 

மத்திய செய்திகள் 

 1. 50-ஆவது உச்சநீதிமன்றத் தலைமை நீதிபதியாக சந்திரசூட் பதவியேற்பு 

• உச்சநீதிமன்றத் தலைமை நீதிபதியாக இருந்த யு.யு.லலித்தின் பதவிக் காலம் நிறைவடைந்தது. இதையடுத்து உச்சநீதிமன்றத்தின் 50–ஆவது தலைமை நீதிபதியாக டி.ஒய்.சந்திரசூட்டுக்கு குடியரசுத் தலைவர் திரௌபதி முர்மு  பதவிப்பிரமாணம் செய்து வைத்தார். 
• தில்லியில் கடந்த 2019-ஆம் ஆண்டு நவ. 9-ஆம் தேதி உத்திரபிரதேச மாநிலம் அயோத்தியில் சச்சரவுக்குரிய நிலத்தில் ராமர் கோயில் கட்டுவதற்கு ஒப்புதல் அளித்து உச்சநீதிமன்றம் தீர்ப்பளித்தது. அந்தத் தீர்ப்பை அளித்த 5 நீதிபதிகள் அடங்கிய அரசியல் சாசன அமர்வில் சந்திரசூட் இடம்பெற்றிருந்தார்.  
• சபரிமலை கோயிலுக்கு அனைத்து வயது பெண்களும் செல்லலாம் என்று உச்சநீதி மன்றத்தின் அரசியல் சாசன அமர்வு தீர்ப்பளித்தது. அந்தத் தீர்ப்பை அமர்வில் இடம் பெற்றிருந்த சந்திரசூட் உள்பட 4 நீதிபதிகள் வழங்கினர். 

• ராணுவத்தில் பெண் அதிகாரிகளுக்கு நிரந்தர ஆணையம் அமைக்க வேண்டும். என்று சந்திரசூட் தலைமையிலான அமர்வு தீர்ப்பளித்தது.  
• அரசமைப்புச் சட்டப்படி ஆதார் எண் செல்லுபடியாகும் என்று உச்ச நீதிமன்றத்தின் அரசியல் சாசன அமர்வில் இடம்பெற்றிருந்த பெரும்பான்மை நீதிபதிகள் தீர்ப்பளித்தனர். எனினும் அந்த அமர்வில் இடம்பெற்ற சந்திரசூட், அரசமைப்புச் சட்டம் மற்றும் அடிப்படை உரிமைகளுக்கு எதிரானது ஆதார் என்று தீர்ப்பளித்தார். 
• சட்டப் பிரிவு 377–ஐ ரத்து செய்து, தன்பாலின சேர்க்கை குற்றமல்ல என்று உச்சநீதிமன்றத்தின் 5 நீதிபதிகள் அடங்கிய அரசியல் சாசன அமர்வு தீர்ப்பளித்தது. அந்த அமர்வில் இருந்த நீதிபதிகளில் சந்திரசூட்டும் ஒருவர். 
• சட்டப் பிரிவு 497–ஐ ரத்து செய்து, திருமணம் தாண்டிய முறையற்ற உறவு குற்றமல்ல என்று ஒருமனதாகத் தீர்ப்பளித்த 5 நீதிபதிகள் அடங்கிய அமர்வில் சந்திரசூட் இடம் பெற்றிருந்தார். 
• உச்சநீதிமன்றத் தலைமை நீதிபதியாக 2024-ஆம் ஆண்டு நவ.10-ஆம் தேதி வரை சந்திரசூட் பதவி வகிப்பார். 

• நீண்ட கால தலைமை நீதிபதியின் மகன் 
• கடந்த 1978-ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 22 தேதிமுதல் 1985-ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூலை 11-ஆம் தேதி வரை, நாட்டில் நீண்ட காலம் உச்சநீதிமன்றத் தலைமை நீதிபதியாக பதவி வகித்தவர் ஒய்.வி.சந்திரசூட். அவரின் மகன் டி.ஒய்.சந்திரசூட், 
• கடந்த 2000-ஆம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் 29 ஆம் தேதி மும்பை உயர்நீதிமன்ற நீதிபதியாக நியமிக்கப்பட்ட அவர், 2013-ஆம் ஆண்டு அக். 31-ஆம் தேதி அலாகாபாத் உயர்நீதிமன்றத் தலைமை நீதிபதியாக நியமிக்கப்பட்டார். 2016-ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 13-ஆம் தேதி உச்சநீதிமன்ற நீதிபதியானார். 

 2. இந்தியாவில் 100 வயதைக் கடந்த வாக்காளர்கள் 2.49 லட்சம் பேர் 

• இந்தியாவில் 100 வதைக் கடந்த வாக்காளர்கள் 2.49 லட்சம் பேரும், 80 வயதைக்கடந்த வாக்காளர்கள் 1.80 கோடி பேரும் உள்ளதாக தலைமைத் தேர்தல் ஆணையர் ராஜீவ் குமார் தெரிவித்தார்.

 1. 2027–ல் இந்தியா 3–வது பெரிய பொருளாதார நாடாக திகழும் 

• இந்தியா 2027–ல் பொருளாதாரரீதியாக 3–வது பெரிய நாடாக உருவாகும் என்று அமெரிக்காவைத் தலைமையிடமாகக்கொண்டு செயல்படும் சர்வதேச முதலீட்டு வங்கியான மோர்கன் ஸ்டான்லி தெரிவித்துள்ளது. 
• முதலீடுகளை ஊக்குவிக்கும் பொருளாதாரக் கொள்கைகள், மக்கள்தொகை எண்ணிக்கை, டிஜிட்டல் கட்டமைப்பு ஆகியவை இந்தியாவை பொருளாதாரரீதியாக 3-வது பெரிய நாடாக மாற்றும் என்று அந்நிறுவனம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.  
• சில நாட்களுக்கு முன்பு அந்நிறுவனம் வெளியிட்ட ஆய்வறிக்கையில் 2030-ல் இந்தியா 3-வது பெரிய நாடாக மாறும் என்று குறிப்பிட்டிருந்தது.  
• இந்நிலையில், இந்த வளர்ச்சியை 2027-ம் ஆண்டிலேயே இந்தியா எட்டும் என்று புதிய கணிப்பை தற்போது வெளியிட்டுள்ளது. 
• இந்தியாவின் ஜிடிபி தற்போது 3.4 டிரில்லியன் டாலராக உள்ளது. 

• இது அடுத்த 10 ஆண்டுகளில் 8.5 டிரில்லியன் டாலராக உயரும். 
• தற்போது உலகின் பெரிய பொருளாதார நாடுகளின் பட்டியலில் பிரிட்டனைப் பின்னுக்குத் தள்ளி, இந்தியா 5–வது இடத்துக்கு முன்னேறி இருப்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

 1. அமெரிக்க நாடாளுமன்ற தேர்தல் இந்திய அமெரிக்கர் ஸ்ரீ தானேதர் வெற்றி 

• அமெரிக்காவில் அதிபர் தேர்தல் முடிந்து 2 ஆண்டுக்குப்பின் நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்கள் மற்றும் செனட் உறுப்பினர்கள் தேர்தல் நடைபெறும், இது இடைக்கால தேர்தல் எனப்படுகிறது. 
• மிச்சிகன் மாகாணத்தில் இருந்து முதல் முறையாக இந்திய அமெரிக்கர் ஸ்ரீ தானேதர் (67) எம்.பியாக வெற்றி பெற்றுள்ளார். 
• அமெரிக்காவில் தொழிலதிபராக இருந்து அரசியல்வாதியான ஸ்ரீ தானேதர், அமெரிக்க நாடாளுமன்றத்துக்கு தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்ட நான்காவது இந்திய அமெரிக்கர்.

 1. உமையாள்புரம் சிவராமன், இளையராஜாவுக்கு கௌரவ டாக்டர் பட்டம் 

• திண்டுக்கல் காந்திகிராம கிராமியப் பல்கலையில் நடைபெறும் பட்டமளிப்பு விழாவில், மிருதங்க வித்வான் உமையாள்புரம் சிவராமன், திரைப்பட இசையமைப்பாளர் இளையராஜா ஆகியோருக்கு கௌரவ டாக்டர் பட்டத்தை பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி வழங்குகிறார். 
• உமையாள்புரம் சிவராமன் (85)  
• தஞ்சாவூர் மாவட்டத்தைச் சேர்ந்த இவர், தனது 10-ஆவது வயதில் மிருதங்க வாசிப்பில் ஈடுபடத் தொடங்கினார். வாசிப்பில் புதிய உத்திகள், புதுமைகளை ஏற்படுத்திய இவர், முதல் முதலாக இழைக் கண்ணாடியால் தயாரிக்கப்பட்ட மிருதங்கத்தை அறிமுகப்படுத்தினார். 

• பதனிட்ட தோல், பதனிடாத தோல் ஆகியவற்றைக் கொண்டு தயாரிக்கப்பட்ட மிருதங்கங்களை தனித்தனியே ஆராய்ச்சி செய்தவர் என்ற சிறப்புக்குரியவர். மிருதங்க வாசிப்பு தொடர்பாக பல்வேறு ஆய்வுகளையும் மேற்கொண்டுள்ளார். 
• இசையமைப்பாளர் இளையராஜா (79);  
• தேனி மாவட்டத்தை பூர்விகமாகக் கொண்ட இவர், அன்னக்கிளி திரைப்படத்தின் மூலம் திரையுலகத்துக்கு அறிமுகமானவர். நாட்டுப்புற இசை, கர்நாடக இசை, மேற்கத்திய இசையில் முறையான பயிற்சியும், புலமையும் பெற்றவர்.  
• இவர் தமிழ் தெலுங்கு, மலையாளம், கன்னடம், இந்தி ஆகிய மொழிகளில் 10,000-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட திரைப்படங்களுக்கு இசையமைத்தவர்.  
• பத்மபூஷண் பத்ம விபூஷண் ஆகிய இந்திய அரசின் உயரிய விருதுகளைப் பெற்றுள்ளார். கலைத் துறையில் இளையராஜாவின் சேவைகளை கௌரவிக்கும் வகையில், கடந்த ஜூலை மாதம் இவர் மாநிலங்களவை உறுப்பினராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டார்.

• Draft voter list published all over Tamil Nadu. According to this, there are a total of 6 crore 18 lakh 26 thousand 182 voters in Tamil Nadu. Among them, women voters are more than men. 
• Based on the draft electoral roll, Tamil Nadu now has 6 crore 18 lakh 26 thousand 182 voters. 
• Among them 3 crore 3 lakh 95 thousand 103 males, 3 crore 14 lakh 23 thousand 321 females and 7 thousand 758 persons of third gender. 

• Choshinganallur constituency has the highest number of voters in the state and harbour constituency has the least number of voters.

Medicine 

   1. Indian 2DG Medicine 

• For those who are affected by Corona, chest irritation, blood clots, heart attacks etc. occur for at least one year. 
• Researchers at the University of Maryland in the United States discovered that a specific protein in the corona virus is responsible for heart tissue damage. 
• To cure this disease Dr. Reddy’s Laboratory in India along with Army Research and Development Center DRTO developed a powder medicine called ‘2DG (2 Deoxy-D-glucose). 

• It should be taken orally. This drug blocks the breakdown of glucose, which is responsible for energy in the body, and inhibits the growth of the virus.

   1. Chandrachud was sworn in as the 50th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court 

• U.U. Lalit’s tenure as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court ended. Subsequently, President Draupadi Murmu administered the oath of office to TY Chandrachut as the 50th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. 
• Last November 2019  On the 9th, the Supreme Court approved the construction of a Ram temple on disputed land in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. Chandrachud was present in the constitutional session of 5 judges who gave the verdict. 
• Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court ruled that women of all ages can visit the Sabarimala temple. The verdict was given by 4 judges including Chandrachud who were present in the session. 
• A permanent commission should be set up for women officers in the army. The bench headed by Chandrachud ruled. 
• The majority of judges in the constitutional session of the Supreme Court ruled that the Aadhaar number is valid as per the Constitution. However, Chandrachud, who was present at the hearing, ruled that Aadhaar is against the Constitution and fundamental rights. 

• A 5-judge constitution bench of the Supreme Court ruled that homosexuality is not a crime, repealing Article 377 of the Constitution. Chandrachut was one of the judges present in that session. 
• Chandrachud was part of the 5-judge bench which unanimously ruled that extra-marital intercourse was not a crime and struck down Section 497 of the Constitution. 
• Chandrachud will serve as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court till November 10, 2024. 
• Son of long time Chief Justice 
• From 22 February 1978 to 11 July 1985, YV Chandrachud was the longest serving Chief Justice of the Supreme Court in the country. His son TY Chandrachud, 

• Appointed as a Judge of Bombay High Court on 29th March 2000, on October 2013. Appointed as Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court on 31st. He became a Supreme Court judge on May 13, 2016. 

   2. There are 2.49 lakh voters above 100 years of age in India 

• Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that there are 2.49 lakh voters in India who are over 100 years of age and 1.80 crore voters who are over 80 years of age.

• India will become the 3rd largest economy by 2027, according to Morgan Stanley, a US-based international investment bank. 
• Investment-promoting economic policies, demographics, and digital infrastructure will make India the 3rd largest economy, according to the agency.

   1. Indian American Sri Thanedar wins US parliamentary elections 

• In the United States, two years after the presidential election, the election of members of the House of Representatives and the Senate is held, which is known as mid-term elections. 

• Sri Thanedar (67), an Indian-American, has won as MP from Michigan for the first time. 
• American businessman turned politician Sri Thanedar is the fourth Indian American to be elected to the US House of Representatives.

 1. Umaiyalpuram Sivaraman, Honorary Doctorate to Ilayaraja 

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi confers honorary doctorate degrees on Mridanga Vidwan Umaiyalpuram Sivaraman and Film Music Composer Ilayaraja at a convocation ceremony at Dindigul Gandhigram Rural University. 
• Umaiyalpuram Sivaraman (85) 
• Hailing from Thanjavur district, he started playing Mridanga at the age of 10. He introduced new techniques and innovations in reading and was the first to introduce mridangam made of fiberglass. 
• Distinguished as the individual who researched mridangas made of tanned leather and untanned leather. He has also done various studies on reading Mridanga. 

• Music composer Ilayaraja (79) 
• A native of the Theni district, he made his debut in the film industry with the movie Annakkili. He has formal training and expertise in Folk Music, Carnatic Music, and Western Music. 
• He has composed music for more than 10,000 films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi languages. 
• Padma Bhushan has received the Padma Vibhushan, the highest award of the Government of India. In honor of Ilayaraja’s services in the field of arts, he was appointed as a member of the Rajya Sabha last July.
