மாநில செய்திகள் 

1. தமிழக காவல்துறைக்கு அங்கீகாரம் 

• தமிழக காவல்துறைக்கு இந்திய குடியரசுத் தலைவரின் கொடி வழங்கும் விழா சென்னை எழும்பூரில் ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை நடைபெற்றது. 
• விழாவில் வெங்கையா நாயுடு பேசியதாவது : 

• தமிழக காவல்துறை வரலாற்றில் இந்த நாள் மிகுந்த சிறப்புக்கூறியதாகும். 
• தமிழக காவல்துறையின் பாராட்டத்தக்க பணி மற்றும் பல்வேறு 

          சாதனைகளை அங்கீகரிக்கும் விதமாக இந்த விருது        வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

• 1859 ஆம் ஆண்டு மெட்ராஸ் காவல்துறை என்ற பெயரில் 

          தொடங்கப்பட்டது.  

• நாட்டிலேயே அதிக அளவிலான மகளிர் காவல் 

நிலையங்களையும் அதிக பெண் காவலர்களையும் கொண்ட      இரண்டாவது மாநிலமாகவும் தமிழகம் இருப்பது மகிழ்ச்சிக்குரியது. 

• நாட்டில் பெண் கமாண்டோ படை பிரிவை அமைத்த முதல் மாநிலம் என்ற சிறப்பையும் தமிழகம் பெற்றுள்ளது.  

2. காவல்துறையில் அனைவருக்கும் பதக்கம்  

• தமிழக காவல்துறை தொடங்கப்பட்டு 160 ஆண்டுகள் ஆவதை ஒட்டி       டிஜிபிமுதல் காவலர்கள் வரை அனைவருக்கும் காவல் பதக்கம் வழங்கப்படும் என முதல்வர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் தெரிவித்தார்.  
• மறைந்த தமிழக முதல்வர் கருணாநிதி 2009 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 19ஆம் தேதி   குடியரசு தலைவரின் கொடியை தமிழ்நாடு காவல்துறைக்கு பெற்று தந்தார். 
• தமிழக காவல்துறையில் முதல் முறையாக 1973 ஆம் ஆண்டு பெண் காவலர்கள் நியமிக்கப்பட்டனர்.  
• அப்போது காவல் உதவி ஆய்வாளர் உஷா ஒரு தலைமை காவலர் 20 பெண் காவலர்கள் சென்னை மாநகரில் பணியமர்த்தப்பட்டனர். 
• காவலர்களின் கோரிக்கைகளை பரிசீலிப்பதற்காக ஓய்வு பெற்ற நீதிபதி சி.டி.செல்வம் தலைமையில் காவல் ஆணையம் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

• குடியரசு தலைவர் விருது பெற்ற தமிழக காவல்துறையினர் தங்கள் காக்கி சட்டையில் அதன் அடையாளமான கொடியை அணிந்து செல்வார்கள் நிஸான் என்று அழைக்கப்படும்.  
• இந்த சின்னம் போலீசாருக்கு பெருமை சேர்க்கும் தமிழக காவல்துறை 

தொடங்கிய 160 ஆண்டுகள் நிறைவடைந்ததை கொண்டாடும் வகையிலும் குடியரசு தலைவரின் வண்ணக்கொடி பெரும் நிகழ்வை முன்னிட்டு டிஜிபி முதல் காவலர் வரை அனைவருக்கும் தமிழ்நாடு அரசு காவல் பதக்கம்       வழங்கப்பட உள்ளது என்றார் அவர். 

3. குடியரசுத் தலைவர் கொடியின் சிறப்புகள்  

• குடியரசுத் தலைவரின் கொடிக்கு பல்வேறு சிறப்புகள் உள்ளன.  
• அதன் விவரம்:  
• குடியரசுத் தலைவரின் குடியானது குறைந்தபட்சம் 25 ஆண்டுகள் அமைதியை நிலைநாட்டுதல் பொருள் ஈடுபடுதல் தொடர்பாக தேசத்துக்கு தனித்துவமான சேவையாற்றியதை அங்கீகரிக்கும் வகையில் இந்திய ராணுவத்தின் சார்பில் காவல்துறைக்கு வழங்கப்படும் உரிய கௌரவமாகும்.  
• தமிழக காவல்துறைக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ள இந்திய குடியரசுத்தலைவரின் கொடி பஞ்சாப் மாநிலம் மலர்கோட்லா மாவட்டத்தைச் சேர்ந்த பழங்கால அரசகுலத்தவரின் கலைநயம் மிகுந்த வேலைப்பாடுகளால் வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டது.  
• ஆங்கிலேயர் காலத்தில் மன்னர்கள் ராணிகள் பெயரிலிருந்து கொடிகள் 1950 ஆம் ஆண்டோடு முடிவுக்கு வந்தன.  

• இந்திய குடியரசுத் தலைவரின் கடந்த 1951 ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் முறையாக இந்திய கடற்படைக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது.  
• மாநில காவல் துறைகளில் ஐந்தாவது காவல் துறையாக தமிழக காவல்துறை இந்த கொடியை பெற்றுள்ளது.  
• ஏற்கனவே தில்லி, ஜம்மு–காஷ்மீர், உத்திரப்பிரதேசம், மகாராஷ்டிரம் ஆகியவை பெற்றுள்ளன.  
• தென் மாநிலங்களில் தமிழக காவல்துறையே முதல் முதலாக குடியரசுத் தலைவரின் குடியைப் பெற்றுள்ளது என்பது சிறப்புக்குரியது. 

4. வாக்காளர் பட்டியல் ஆதார் எண் இணைப்பு  

• வாக்காளர் பட்டியல் உடன் ஆதார் எண்ணை இணைக்கும் புதிய நடைமுறை தமிழகம் முழுவதும் திங்கள்கிழமை (ஆகஸ்ட் 1) தொடங்குகிறது. 
• இப்பணிக்க என பிரத்தியேகமாக தயாரிக்கப்பட்ட படிவம் 6–பியில் உள்ள விவரங்களை பூர்த்தி செய்து அளித்தால் வாக்காளர் பட்டியல் உடன் ஆதார் எண் இணைக்கப்படும். 
• தலைமை தேர்தல் அதிகாரி சத்திய பிரதா சாகு. 

5. கும்பகோணத்தில் விவேகானந்தர் சிலை  

• கும்பகோணத்தில் சுவாமி விவேகானந்தர் சிலை திறப்பு விழா ஆகஸ்ட் 15 இல் நடைபெறுகிறது. 
• எழுந்திருங்கள், விழித்தெழுங்கள், லட்சியத்தை அடையும் வரை நில்லாது செல்லுங்கள் என்ற மக்களை தட்டி எழுப்பும் மந்திர வாக்கியத்தை கும்பகோணத்தில் சுவாமி விவேகானந்தர் 1897 பிப்ரவரி 3, 4, 5 ஆம் தேதிகளில் முழங்கினார்.  
• 125 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் ஸ்வாமி விவேகானந்தர் வரலாற்று சிறப்புமிக்க 

   உரையாற்றிய இடத்தில் அவரது ஏழு அடி உயர வெண்கலச் சிலை அமைப்பதற்கான பணியை கும்பகோணம் போர்ட்டர் நகர மையம் மற்றும் தஞ்சாவூர் ஸ்ரீ ராம கிருஷ்ண மடம் இணைந்து மேற்கொண்டுள்ளன. 

6. செயலி மூலம் வருகைப்பதிவு  

• தமிழகத்தில் அரசு பள்ளி ஆசிரியர்கள் திங்கள்கிழமை ஆகஸ்ட் 1 முதல் தங்களது வருகை பதிவை கல்வித்துறை செயலி மூலம் பதிவு செய்ய வேண்டும் என்ற பள்ளிக்கல்வித்துறை உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது.  
• தமிழகத்தில் அரசு பள்ளி மாணவர் ஆசிரியர் வருகை பதிவே கண்காணிக்க ‘TN Schools’ என்ற கைபேசி செயலியை பள்ளிக்கல்வித்துறை 2019 ஆம் ஆண்டு அறிமுகம் செய்தது.  

• இந்த செயலி வழியாக ஆசிரியர்கள் மாணவர்கள் வருகைப்பதிவு மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டு வந்தது.  
• அதன் பின் ஆசிரியர் பணிப்பதிவேடு வருகைப்பதிவு மாணவர் விவரம் உள்பட அனைத்து விவரங்களையும் ஒருங்கிணைக்க TNSED app என்ற மேம்படுத்தப்பட்ட செயலியை தமிழக அரசு கடந்த ஆண்டு அறிமுகம் செய்தது. 

மத்திய செய்திகள் 

1. தில்லி காவல்துறை புதிய ஆணையராக நியமனம்  

• இந்திய விபத்து எல்லை காவல் படையின் ஐடிபி இயக்குனர் ஜெனரலாக இருந்த சஞ்சய் அரோரா தில்லி மாநகர காவல் துறை ஆணையராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.  
• டில்லி காவல்துறை ஆணையர் ராகேஷ் அஸ்தானா ஜூலை 31ஆம் தேதி 

      ஓய்வு பெறுவதைத் தொடர்ந்து இந்த நியமனத்தை மத்திய         உள்துறை அமைச்சகம் மேற்கொண்டு இதற்கான உத்தரவை பிறப்பித்தது. 

• சந்தன மர கடத்தல் கும்பல் தலைவனான வீரப்பனை பிடிக்கும் சிறப்பு அதிரடி      குழுவுக்கு பொறுப்பேற்று இருந்தார் வீரப்பன் கும்பலுக்கு எதிரான வெற்றி மூலம் அவருக்கு வீரச்செயலுக்கான முதல்வரின் வீரப்பதக்கம் வழங்கப்பட்டது.  
• 1991 ஆண்டு விடுதலைப்புலிகள் நடவடிக்கைகளை ஒட்டி அப்போதைய தமிழக முதல்வர் ஜெயலலிதாவின் பாதுகாப்புக்காக சிறப்பு பாதுகாப்பு குழுவை உருவாக்குவதில் முக்கிய பங்காற்றியுள்ளார். 

2. பொம்மைகள் ஏற்றுமதி  

• தொற்றுப் பரவல் காலத்தில் சுமார் 2600 கோடி ரூபாய் மதிப்பிலான பொம்மைகளை இந்தியா ஏற்றுமதி செய்துள்ளதாக ‘மனதின் குரல்’ நிகழ்ச்சியில் பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி தெரிவித்தார்.  
• பூனேவைச் சேர்ந்த பொம்மை தயாரிப்பு நிறுவனம் ஒன்று சிறார்களின் 

   அறிவியல் தொழில்நுட்ப ஆர்வத்தை வளர்க்கும் வகையில் பொம்மைகளை தயார் செய்து வருகிறது.  

• வீடு தோறும் தேசியக்கொடி சுதந்திர தினம் ஆகஸ்ட் மாதம் கொண்டாடப்பட உள்ள நிலையில் 13-ஆம் தேதி முதல் 15ஆம் தேதி வரை ‘ஒவ்வொரு வீட்டிலும் தேசியக்கொடி’ என்ற சிறப்பு விழாவுக்கு ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.  

• அந்நாள்களில் நாட்டு மக்கள் தங்கள் வீடுகளில் மூவர்ணக் கொடியை ஏற்ற வேண்டும். 
• ஆகஸ்ட் 2 ஆம் தேதி இந்திய தேசிய கொடியை வடிவமைத்த 

   பிங்காளி வெங்கையாவின் பிறந்த தினம் கொண்டாடப்பட உள்ளது. 

3. இந்தியா ஓமன் கூட்டு ராணுவ பயிற்சி  

• இந்தியா ஓமன் கூட்டு ராணுவ பயிற்சியான ‘அல் நஜா’ நான்காவது பதிப்பு திங்கள்கிழமை (ஆகஸ்ட் 1) ராஜஸ்தான் மாநிலத்தில் தொடங்குகிறது.  
• கடந்த 2016 ஆம் ஆண்டு மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட ராணுவ ஒப்பந்தங்களை ஒட்டி இந்தியா ஓமன் நாடுகளுக்கு இடையே அல் நஜா என்ற கூட்டு ராணுவ பயிற்சி நடைபெற்று வருகிறது. 

விளையாட்டுச் செய்திகள் 

1. பளுதூக்குதலில் பதக்கம் குவிக்கும் இந்தியா  

• இங்கிலாந்தில் நடைபெறும் காமன்வெல்த் விளையாட்டுப் போட்டிகளில் பளுதூக்குதல் பிரிவில் இந்தியாவுக்கு மேலும் இரண்டு பதக்கங்கள் கிடைத்தது.  
• இதையடுத்து போட்டியில் இந்தியா 5 பதக்கங்களுடன் ஆறாவது இடத்தில் இருக்கிறது.  
• தற்போது ஜெரிமிலால் ரிணுங்கா தங்கமும், விந்தியா ராணி தேவி வெள்ளியும் வென்று அசத்தியிருக்கின்றனர்.  

• சாதனையுடன் தங்கம் – ஜெரிமிலால் ரிணுங்கா 
• ஆடவருக்கான 67 கிலோ பிரிவில் பங்கேற்ற ஜெர்மி ஸ்னாட்ச் பிரிவில் 140 கிலோ கிளீன் & ஜெர்க் பிரிவில் 160 கிலோ என மொத்தமாக 300 கிலோ எடையை தூக்கி இரண்டு போட்டி சாதனைகளுடன் தங்கத்தை தனதாக்கினார்.  
• விந்தியாவுக்கு வெள்ளி:  
• மகளிர் காண 55 கிலோ இடைப்பிரிவில் இந்தியாவின் விந்தியா ராணி தேவி மொத்தமாக 202 கிலோ எடையை தூக்கி இரண்டாம் இடம் பிடித்தார். 
• இது அவர் பங்கேற்கும்  காமன்வெல்த் போட்டி என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

State news 

1. Recognition of Tamil Nadu Police 

• Flag of President of India will be provided to Tamil Nadu Police The ceremony was held in Egmore, Chennai on Sunday. 

• Venkaiah Naidu spoke on the occasion: 
• This day is very special in the history of Tamil Nadu Police. 
• Commendable work of Tamil Nadu Police and various.  
• This award is given in recognition of achievements. 
• 1859 under the name Madras Police  was initiated. 

• Largest women police force in the country it is heartening that Tamil Nadu is also the second state to have stations and more women constables. 
• Tamil Nadu also has the distinction of being the first state in the country to establish a women commando unit. 

2. Medal for all in Police 

• Chief Minister M.K.Stalin said that on the occasion of 160 years of the establishment of Tamil Nadu Police, everyone from DGP to constables will be given a police medal. 

• Late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi received the President’s flag on 19th August 2009 to the Tamil Nadu Police. 
• Women constables were appointed for the first time in Tamil Nadu Police in 1973. 
• Then Police Assistant Inspector Usha a Head Constable 20 women constables were posted in Chennai city. 
• A Police Commission headed by retired Justice C.T.Selvam has been set up to consider the demands of the Police. 
• Tamil Nadu police officers who have received the President’s Award will wear its emblem on their khaki shirt called Nissan. 

• Tamil Nadu Police makes this symbol proud of the police. 
• He said that in order to celebrate the completion of 160 years of the establishment and in view of the President’s flag hoisting event, everyone from DGP to Constable will be awarded the Tamil Nadu Government Police Medal. 

3. Electoral Roll Aadhaar Number Attachment 

• The new process of linking Aadhaar number with the voter list will begin across Tamil Nadu on Monday (August 1). 

• Chief Electoral Officer Sathyapratha Sahu. 
• Aadhaar number will be attached to the voter list if the details in Form 6-B specially prepared for this purpose are provided. 

4. Statue of Vivekananda at Kumbakonam 

• Inauguration of Swami Vivekananda statue at Kumbakonam will be held on August 15. 

• “Arise awake and stop not until the goal is reached” was chanted by Swami Vivekananda at Kumbakonam on 3rd, 4th and 5th February 1897. 
• 125 years ago Swami Vivekananda was historic Kumbakonam Porter City Center and Thanjavur Sri Rama Krishna Mutt have jointly undertaken the work of erecting a seven-feet tall bronze statue of him at the address. 

5. Features of the Presidential Flag 

• The President’s flag has various features. 

• Its details: 
• The President’s Medal is a prestigious honor conferred on the Police by the Indian Army in recognition of distinguished service to the nation in peacekeeping and material engagements of at least 25 years. 
• The Flag of the President of India given to the Tamil Nadu Police was designed with exquisite craftsmanship by an ancient royal family of Malarkotla district of Punjab. 
• During the British era, the names of kings, queens, and flags came to an end in 1950. 
• Awarded to the Indian Navy for the first time in 1951 by the President of India. 

• Tamil Nadu Police is the fifth police department in the state to receive this flag. 
• Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra have already got it. 
• It is significant that the Tamil Nadu Police was the first among the southern states to receive the residence of the President. 

6. Attendance through app 

• The school education department has ordered that government school teachers in Tamil Nadu should register their attendance record through the education department app from Monday, August 1. 
• In 2019, the Department of Education introduced a mobile app called ‘TN Schools’ to monitor attendance records of students and teachers in government schools in Tamil Nadu. 
• Attendance registration of teachers and students was done through this app. 
• After that, the Tamil Nadu government introduced an improved application called ‘TNSED’ last year to integrate all the details including teacher’s register, attendance, student details. 

Central News 

1. Appointment of new Commissioner of Delhi Police 

• Sanjay Arora, former IDP Director General, Indian Border Police, has been appointed as Commissioner of Delhi Metropolitan Police. 

• Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana on 31st July, The appointment was made by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs after his retirement. 
• He was in charge of the Special Action Team that nabbed Veerappan, the leader of the sandalwood smuggling gang. 
• In 1991, he played an important role in forming a special security team for the protection of the then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalithaa, following the activities of the Viduthalai Puligal. 

2. Export of toys 

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in the ‘Manadin Kural’ program that India has exported toys worth around 2600 crore rupees during the pandemic. 
• Juvenile is a Pune-based toy manufacturing company it is preparing toys to develop interest in science and technology. 
• National Flag Independence Day is being celebrated in every house in the month of August, from 13th to 15th a special ceremony called ‘National Flag in every house’ has been organized. 
• On those days the people of the country should hoist the tricolor flag in their houses. 
• Designed the Indian National Flag on 2nd August Bingali Venkaiah’s birthday is about to be celebrated. 

3. India-Oman joint military exercise 

• The fourth edition of the India-Oman joint military exercise ‘Al Naja’ will begin on Monday (August 1) in the state of Rajasthan. 
• A joint military exercise called ‘Al Naja’ is being conducted between India and Oman in line with the military agreements made in 2016.

1. India to accumulate medals in weightlifting 

• India bagged two more medals in the weightlifting category at the Commonwealth Games in England. 

• India is now at the sixth position with 5 medals in the tournament. 
• At present Jerimilal Rinunga has won gold and Vindhya Rani Devi has won silver. 
• Gold with achievement: 
• Participating in the men’s 67kg category, Jeremy Snatch gold with a total of 300kg weight lifting 140kg in the snatch category and 160kg in the clean & jerk category with two competition records. 
• Silver for Vindhya: 

• Vindaya Rani Devi of India lifted a total of 202kg in the women’s 55kg intermediate category and finished second. 
• It is noteworthy that this is the Wednesday Commonwealth tournament in which he will participate.
