2. ஸ்மிருதி வனம் நினைவிடம் திறப்பு
- குஜராத்தின் கட்ச் பகுதியில் கடந்த 2001 இல் ஏற்பட்ட நிலநடுக்கத்தில் சுமார் 13,000 பேர் உயிரிழந்தனர்.
- பெரிய அளவில் பொருள் சேதங்கள் ஏற்பட்டன.
- இந்த பேரழிவிலிருந்து மீண்டு வந்த மக்களின் மனவலிமைக்கு பெருமை சேர்க்கும் வகையில் புஜ் அருகே உள்ள புஜியோ மலைப்பகுதியில் ஸ்மிருதி வனம் என்ற பெயரில் 470 ஏக்கரில் பிரம்மாண்ட நினைவிடம் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- இதில் நிலநடுக்கத்தில் உயிரிழந்தோரின் பெயர்களும் நிலநடுக்கத்துக்கு பிறகு கட்ச்ப் பகுதியை கட்டி எழுப்பிய வெற்றிக் கதைகளும் இடம் பெற்றுள்ளன.
3. யுனெஸ்கோ பாரம்பரிய நிகழ்வுகள்: குஜராத் கர்பா நடனம் பரிந்துரை
- கொல்கத்தாவில் பாரம்பரியமாக நடத்தப்பட்டு வரும் துர்கா பூஜைக்கு கடந்த ஆண்டில் யுனெஸ்கோவின் கலாச்சார பாரம்பரிய நினைவு நிகழ்வுகள் என்று அங்கீகாரம் கிடைத்தது.
- இதன் ஓராண்டு நிறைவு பெறுவது ஒட்டி தில்லி தேசிய அருங்காட்சியகத்தில் நிகழ்ச்சிக்கு ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டது.
- இதில் யுனெஸ்கோ கலாச்சார பாரம்பரிய குழு செயலர் டிம் குர்டிஸ் பங்கேற்று பேசுகையில் யுனெஸ்கோவின் கலாச்சார பாரம்பரிய பட்டியலுக்கு குஜராத்தின் கர்பா நடனம் பரிந்துரை செய்யப்படுகிறது.
- ஏற்கனவே இந்தியாவின் சார்பில் ராம்லீலா, வேத மந்திரங்கள், கும்பமேளா, கொல்கத்தாவில் துர்கா பூஜை உள்ளிட்ட 14 நிகழ்வுகள் யுனெஸ்கோவின் பாரம்பரிய பட்டியலில் இணைக்கப்பட்டு அங்கீகாரம் பெற்றுள்ளன.
- கொல்கத்தாவில் துர்கா பூஜைக்கு பிரான்ஸ் தலைநகர் பாரிஸில் நடைபெற்ற யுனெஸ்கோ தேர்வு குழுவின் 16 ஆவது கூட்டத்தில் அங்கீகாரம் கிடைத்தது நினைவு கூறத்தக்கது.
4. இந்திய – அமெரிக்க சிறப்பு படைகள் கூட்டு பயிற்சி நிறைவு
- இமாச்சலப் பிரதேசத்தில் மூன்று வாரங்களாக நடைபெற்று வந்த இந்திய – அமெரிக்க சிறப்பு படைகளின் கூட்டுப் பயிற்சி நிறைவடைந்தது.
- இந்தியா – அமெரிக்கா சிறப்பு படைகள் இணைந்து ஆண்டுதோறும் ‘வஜ்ர பிரஹார்’ என்ற பெயரில் கூட்டு பயிற்சியில் ஈடுபட்டு வருகின்றன.
- இந்நிலையில் கடந்த ஆகஸ்ட் 8ஆம் தேதி ஹிமாச்சலப் பிரதேசத்தில் உள்ள பக்லோ பகுதியில் 13 வது ‘வஜ்ர பிரஹார்’ பயிற்சி தொடங்கியது.
5. ஹிந்தியில் மருத்துவ படிப்பு
- தற்போது ஆங்கிலத்தில் மட்டுமே மருத்துவக் கல்வி கற்பிக்கப்பட்டு வரும் நிலையில் நாட்டிலேயே முதல் முறையாக ஹிந்தியில் எம்பிபிஎஸ் கற்பிக்கும் முயற்சி மத்திய பிரதேசம் மாநிலத்தில் தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக மாநில உயர்கல்வித்துறை அமைச்சர் விஸ்வாஸ் சாரங் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

1. ஒலிம்பிக் அருங்காட்சியகம்
- இந்திய ஈட்டியெறிதல் வீரர் நீரஜ் சோப்ரா, டோக்கியோ ஒலிம்பிக்கில் தங்கம் வென்று தந்த தனது ஈட்டியை ஒலிம்பிக் அருங்காட்சியத்திற்கு பரிசளித்தார்.
- அந்த அருங்காட்சியத்தில் இடம் பிடிக்கும் இரண்டாவது இந்திய வீரரின் விளையாட்டு உபகரணம் இதுவாகும்.
- முதலில், 2008 பெய்ஜிங் ஒலிம்பிக்கில் துப்பாக்கி சுடுதலில் தங்கம் வென்ற இந்தியாவின் அபினவ் பிந்த்ரா தனது துப்பாக்கியை இவ்வாறு அருங்காட்சியகத்துக்கு வழங்கி இருக்கிறார்.

- Independence Day Celebration:
- In Madhya Pradesh’s Indore, they celebrated by forming a human chain in the shape of Indian map.

2. Inauguration of Smriti Vanam Memorial
