- உலக பாம்பு தினம் – உலகெங்கிலும் உள்ள பல்வேறு வகையான பாம்புகள் பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வை அதிகரிக்க ஆண்டுதோறும் ஜூலை 16 அன்று அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.
- தேசிய கல்வி நிறுவனங்கள் தரவரிசையில் சென்னை ஐஐடி ஒட்டுமொத்த பிரிவில் தொடர்ந்து 4-வது முறையாக முதலிடத்தை பெற்றுள்ளது. மேலும், தமிழகத்தைச் சேர்ந்த 8 கல்வி நிறுவனங்கள் முதல் 10 இடத்திற்கு வந்துள்ளதற்கு முதல்வர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் வாழ்த்துகளை தெரிவித்துள்ளார். 2022-ஆம் ஆண்டு தேசிய கல்வி நிறுவனங்கள் தரவரிசைப் பட்டியலை மத்திய கல்வித் துறை அமைச்சர் தர்மேந்திர பிரதான் நேற்று காணொலி வழியில் வெளியிட்டார். அதில் சென்னை ஐஐடி ஒட்டுமொத்தப் பிரிவிலும், பொறியியல் பிரிவிலும் தொடர்ந்து நான்காவது முறையாக முதலிடத்தைப் பெற்றுள்ளது. பல்கலைக்கழகங்கள் பட்டியலில் இந்தியன் இன்ஸ்டிடியூட் ஆஃப் சைன்ஸ் பெங்களூரு (indian institute of science) முதலிடத்தைப் பெற்றுள்ளது.
- தேசிய மின் ஆளுமை சேவைக்கான மதிப்பீட்டில், மத்திய அமைச்சக இணையதளங்களில் உள்துறை விவகார அமைச்சக இணையதளம் சிறப்பாக அமைக்கப்பட்டு முதலிடத்தை பெற்றுள்ளதாக மத்திய நிா்வாகச் சீா்திருத்தங்கள், பொதுமக்கள் குறைதீா்ப்புத் துறை வெள்ளிக்கிழமை தெரிவித்துள்ளது. மேலும், உள்துறை அமைச்சகத்திற்கு கீழேயுள்ள எண்ம (டிஜிட்டல்) காவல் தளத்திற்கு இரண்டாவது இடம் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாகவும் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- எதிரிகளிடம் ரேடாரில் சிக்காத வகையில் அதிநவீன தொழில்நுட்பங்களுடன் தயாரிக்கப்பட்ட ‘துனாகிரி’ போர்க்கப்பலை நாட்டுக்கு அர்ப்பணிக்கும் நிகழ்ச்சி, மேற்கு வங்க மாநிலம் கொல்கத்தாவில் நடைபெற்றது.

- World Snake Day – is observed annually on July 16 to raise awareness about the various species of snakes around the world.
- IIT Chennai has been ranked first in the overall category for the 4th time in a row in the National Institution Rankings. Also, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin congratulated 8 educational institutes from Tamil Nadu for making it to the top 10 places. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan released the ranking list of National Educational Institutions for the year 2022 through video yesterday. Out of which, IIT Chennai has bagged the top position in the overall category and in the engineering category for the fourth time in a row. In the list of universities, Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (Indian Institute of Science) has got the first position.
- In the assessment of the National e-Governance Service, the Department of Central Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances announced on Friday that the website of the Ministry of Home Affairs has been set up well and has been ranked first among the websites of the central ministries. It has also been informed that the second position has been given to the eighth (digital) police station below the Ministry of Home Affairs.
