1. ஜப்பானின் நாரா நகரில் நடைபெற்ற நிகழ்ச்சியொன்றில், மர்ம நபரால் துப்பாக்கியால் சுடப்பட்ட அந்நாட்டின் முன்னாள் பிரதமர் ஷின்சோ அபே சிகிச்சை பலனின்றி உயிரிழந்துள்ளதாக அந்நாட்டின் உள்ளூர் ஊடகங்கள் செய்தி வெளியிட்டுள்ளன. 67 வயதாகும் ஷின்சோ அபே, சுதந்திர ஜனநாயக கட்சியை இரண்டு முறை ஆட்சியமைக்க வைத்த பெருமைக்குரியவர். 2006 ஆம் ஆண்டு சர்ச்சையுடன் தொடங்கியது இவரது பிரதமர் பயணம். இரண்டாவது முறையாக 2012இல் பிரதமரான இவர், 2020ஆண்டு உடல்நலம் காரணமாக இவர் பதவி விலகும்வரை பிரதமராக நீடித்தார். இரண்டாவது முரை அவர், பிரதமராக பொறுப்பேற்றபோது நாடு, பொருளாதார வீழ்ச்சியில் இருந்தது. இந்த நிலையில் அபேவின் எளிமைப்படுத்தப்பட்ட பணமாக்கல், நிதி வளர்ச்சி மற்றும் கட்டமைப்பு சீர்திருத்தங்களுக்கான கொள்கைகள் மூலம், நாட்டை அதிலிருந்து மீட்டு ஒரு முன்னேறும் பொருளாதார நிலைக்கு கொண்டு வந்தார்.

2. எந்திரத்தால் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட பாலியஸ்டர் தேசிய கொடிகளுக்கும் ஜி எஸ் டி வரிவிலக்கு அளிக்கப்படுவதாக மத்திய அரசு தெரிவித்துள்ளது. ஏற்கனவே கையால் செய்யப்பட்ட பருத்தி, பட்டு மற்றும் காகித கோடிகளுக்கு வரிவிலக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது

3. கடந்த 2021- 22 நிதியாண்டில் ஆயுதங்கள் மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பு தொழில்நுட்பங்கள் ஏற்றுமதியில் இந்தியா சாதனை படைத்துள்ளது. அந்த நிதியாண்டில் ரூ.13 ஆயிரம் கோடி அளவுக்கு ஏற்றுமதி ஆகியுள்ளது. அதில் 70 சதவீதம் தனியார் நிறுவனங்களில் இருந்தும், 30 சதவீதம் பொதுத்துறை நிறுவனங்களில் இருந்தும் ஏற்றுமதி ஆகியுள்ளது. அமெரிக்கா, பிலிப்பைன்ஸ் தென் கிழக்கு ஆசியா, மேற்கு ஆசியா மற்றும் ஆப்ரிக்க நாடுகளுக்கு ஏற்றுமதி ஆகியுள்ளது. முக்கியமாக கடந்த ஜனவரி மாதம் ரூ.2,770 கோடி மதிப்பில் பிரமோஸ் ஏவுகணை பிலிப்பைன்ஸ் ஏற்றுமதி செய்வதற்கான ஒப்பந்தம் கையெழுத்தானது. தொடர்ந்து, இந்தோனேஷியா மற்றும் வியட்நாம் நாடுகளுக்கும் அந்த ஏவுகணை ஏற்றுமதி செய்வதற்கு வழி வகுத்தது. கடந்த 5 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பிருந்ததை விட தற்போது பாதுகாப்பு தளவாட ஏற்றுமதி 8 மடங்கு அதிகரித்துள்ளது. கடந்த 2020 21 நிதியாண்டில் ரூ.8,434 கோடி அளவுக்கும், ரூ.2019-20 ல் ரூ.9,115 கோடிக்கும், ரூ.2015- 16 ல் ரூ.2,059 கோடி அளவுக்கும் ஏற்றுமதி ஆகியிருந்தது.

4. திருவண்ணாமலை மாவட்டம், ஆராஞ்சி ஊராட்சியில் “இல்லம் தேடிக் கல்வி” திட்டத்தின் இரண்டு லட்சமாவது மையத்தை தமிழக முதல்வர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் (ஜூலை 8) தொடங்கி வைத்தார். இல்லம் தேடிக் கல்வித் திட்டத்தில் 2 லட்சம் தன்னார்வலர்கள் 34 லட்சம் குழந்தைகளுக்கு மாலை நேரத்தில் கல்வி கற்பித்து வருகின்றனர். குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் பெற்றோர்களின் மாபெரும் ஆதரவு இத்திட்டத்தை வெற்றித் திட்டமாக மாற்றியுள்ளது. முதல் கட்டமாக 12 மாவட்டங்களில் தொடங்கப்பட்ட இத்திட்டம் ஒரு மாதத்தில் மாநிலம் முழுவதும் விரிவுபடுத்தப்பட்டது. இத்திட்டத்தில், தன்னார்வலர்களின் கல்வித் தகுதி, ஆர்வம், குழந்தைகளைக் கையாளும் திறன் ஆகியவற்றின் அடிப்படையில் தகுதியானவர்கள் தன்னார்வலர்களாக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டு அவர்களுக்கு பயிற்சிகளும் அளிக்கப்பட்டன. மேலும், வாசிப்புப் பழக்கத்தை குழந்தைகளிடம் வளர்க்கும் நோக்கத்தில் 1000 இல்லம் தேடிக் கல்வி மைய நூலகங்கள் தொடங்கப்பட்டன.

5. வெள்ளியன்றுபாலியில்நடந்த G-20 வெளிநாட்டுஅமைச்சர்கள்கூட்டத்தில் அமெரிக்காவிற்கும்ரஷ்யாவிற்கும் இடையிலானபிளவுகள் ஆதிக்கம்செலுத்தியது.(8.7.21)வெளிவிவகார அமைச்சர் எஸ்.ஜெய்சங்கர், அமெரிக்கவெளியுறவுத்துறைசெயலர்ஆண்டனிபிளிங்கன்மற்றும்ரஷ்யவெளியுறவுஅமைச்சர்செர்ஜிலாவ்ரோவ்ஆகியோரைசந்தித்தார்.

6. நாடுமுழுவதும்உள்ளஃபவுண்டன்பேனாஉற்பத்தியாளர்கள், விநியோகஸ்தர்கள்மற்றும்பிரியர்கள்இந்தமாதம்முதல்மைமீதானஜிஎஸ்டியை 12% லிருந்து 18% ஆகஉயர்த்திவிமர்சித்துள்ளனர்.

1. Japan’s former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has died after being shot by a mysterious person at an event in Nara, Japan’s local media reported. Shinzo Abe, 67, is credited with leading the Liberal Democratic Party to power twice. His journey as Prime Minister started with controversy in 2006. He became the Prime Minister for the second time in 2012 and remained as the Prime Minister until he resigned in 2020 due to ill health. When he took over as Prime Minister for the second time, the country was in economic decline. Abe’s policies of eased monetization, fiscal expansion, and structural reforms have brought the country back to a thriving economy.

2. The central government has announced that machine-made polyester national flags will also be exempted from GST.It is worth noting that already hand-made cotton, silk and paper crores have been exempted from duty

3. In the last financial year 2021-22, India has set a record in the export of arms and defense technologies. In that financial year, the exports amounted to Rs.13 thousand crores. 70 percent of it is exported from private companies and 30 percent from public sector companies. Exports to USA, Philippines, South East Asia, West Asia and Africa. Importantly, last January, an agreement was signed for the export of Bramos missiles to the Philippines worth Rs 2,770 crore. Subsequently, it paved the way for the export of the missile to Indonesia and Vietnam. Defense logistics exports have now increased 8 times compared to last 5 years. In the last financial year 2020-21, the export was Rs.8,434 crore, in 2019-20 it was Rs.9,115 crore and in 2015-16 it was Rs.2,059 crore.

4. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin (July 8) inaugurated the 2 lakhth center of the “Illam thedi kalvi” project in Aranji panchayat, Tiruvannamalai district. 2 lakh volunteers are educating 34 lakh children in the evenings in the Home Search Education Programme. Huge support from children and parents has made this program a success. The scheme was started in 12 districts in the first phase and was expanded across the state within a month. In this scheme, the volunteers are selected as volunteers based on their educational qualification, interest and ability to handle children and they are given training. Also, 1000 home education center libraries were started with the aim of inculcating the habit of reading in children.

5. The divisions between the U.S.and Russia dominated the G-20 foregin ministers’ meeting in Bali on Friday. (8.7.21). External affairs minister S.Jaishankar met with the U.S. Secretary of state Antony blinken and russia foregin minister Sergey Lavrov on the sidelines of the meeting.

6. The manufacturers, dealers and lovers of the fountain pen across the country have criticised the increase the GST on the ink from 12% to 18% starting this month.
