1. 2022-23 ஆம் நிதியாண்டின் கூடுதல் செலவினங்களுக்கான ரூபாய் 3,796 கோடிக்கு துணை மதிப்பீடுகள்
- தமிழகத்தில் இந்த நிதியாண்டின் கூடுதல் செலவினங்களுக்கு ₹3,796 கோடிக்கான முதல் துணை மதிப்பீடுகளை சட்டப்பேரவையில் நிதி அமைச்சர் பழனிவேல் தியாகராஜன் தாக்கல் செய்தார்.
- அரசு பள்ளி மாணவர்களுக்கான முன்னோடி திட்டமான முதல்வரின் காலை உணவு திட்டத்திற்கு ரூபாய் 33.56 கோடி அனுமதி.
2. தூத்துக்குடி துப்பாக்கிச் சூடு
- தூத்துக்குடியில் நடந்த துப்பாக்கி சூடு விவகாரத்தில் காவல்துறையினர் வரம்பை மீறி செயல்பட்டதாக நீதிபதி அருண் ஜெகதீசன் தனது விசாரணை அறிக்கையில் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
- இதைத்தொடர்ந்து 17 பேர் மீது நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கும் பணிகளை தமிழக அரசு தொடங்கியுள்ளது.
- இதற்கான உத்தரவை தலைமைச் செயலாளர் வெ.இறையன்பு பிறப்பித்துள்ளார்.
- தூத்துக்குடி துப்பாக்கி சூடு சம்பவத்தை பொறுத்தவரையில் காவல்துறையினர் வரம்பு மீறி செயல்பட்டு இருக்கின்றனர் என்பது ஆணையத்தின் தீர்க்கமான முடிவாகும்.
3. நீதிபதி ஆறுமுகசாமி ஆணையம்
- முன்னாள் முதல்வர் ஜெயலலிதா மரணம் தொடர்பாக விசாரிப்பதற்காக நீதிபதி ஆறுமுகசாமி தலைமையில் விசாரணை ஆணையம் அமைக்கப்பட்டு இருந்தது.
- அந்த ஆணையத்தின் விசாரணை அறிக்கை சட்டப்பேரவையில் வைக்கப்பட்டது.
- அந்த விசாரணை அறிக்கை மொத்தம் 68 பக்கங்கள் கொண்டது.

1. வாரத்தில் மிகவும் பிடிக்காத நாள் திங்கள்கிழமை கின்னஸ் அமைப்பு அறிவிப்பு
- வார நாட்களில் அனைவருக்கும் பிடிக்காத நாள் திங்கட்கிழமை.
- திங்கள்கிழமை பணிக்கு செல்பவர்கள் மட்டுமல்லாமல், பள்ளி செல்லும் மாணவர்கள் வரை அனைத்து தரப்பினரும் திங்கள்கிழமையை வெறுக்கின்றனர்.

2. இலங்கை எழுத்தாளருக்கு புக்கர் பரிசு
- இங்கிலாந்தில் சர்வதேச அளவில் தலைசிறந்த புதினத்துக்கு (நாவலுக்கு) வழங்கப்படுகிற உயர்ந்த பரிசு புக்கர் பரிசு ஆகும்.
- இந்த பரிசு வெல்கிறவர்கள் படைப்பு சர்வதேச அளவில் அங்கீகாரம் கிடைப்பதோடு, அதன் விற்பனையும் அதிகரிக்கும்.
- இந்த பரிசு உலகம் எங்கும் உள்ள எழுத்தாளர்கள் மத்தியில் மிகுந்த வரவேற்பை பெற்றுள்ளது.
- இந்த ஆண்டு இலங்கையின் முன்னணி எழுத்தாளர் ஷெகான், கருணதிலகா எழுதிய ‘தி செவன் மூன்ஸ் ஆப் மாலி அல்மெய்டா‘ என்ற புதினத்துக்கு புக்கர் பரிசு கிடைத்துள்ளது.
- இந்த புதினம் அவர் எழுதிய இரண்டாவது புதினம் ஆகும்.
- இந்த பரிசு 50,000 பவுண்ட் (சுமார் ₹ 50 லட்சம்) ரொக்கத்துடன் கூடியது.
- இந்த புதினம் இலங்கை போரினால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட மக்களின் வாழ்வை மைய இழையாகக் கொண்டதாகும்.
- உலகம் எங்கும் இருந்து அனுப்பி வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்த 170 புதினங்களை நடுவர் குழுவினர் வாசித்து பரிசுக்குரிய புதினத்தை தேர்வு செய்துள்ளனர்.
3. பிசிசிஐ தலைவர் ஆனார் ரோஜர் பின்னி
- இந்திய கிரிக்கெட் கட்டுப்பாட்டு வாரியத்தின் பிசிசிஐ 36வது தலைவராக ரோஜர் பின்னி போட்டி இன்றி தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டார்.
- தலைவர் பதவிக்காலத்தை நிறைவு செய்த சௌரவ் கங்குலிக்கு பதிலாக ரோஜர் பின்னி மும்பையில் நடைபெற்ற பிசிசிஐ ஆண்டு பொதுக்கூட்டத்தில் அந்த பொறுப்புக்கு தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டார்.
- வாரியத்தின் செயலாளராக ஜெய் ஷா, பொருளாளராக ஆஷிஷ் செலார், துணைத்தலைவராக ராஜூவ் சுக்லா, இணைச் செயலாளராக தேவ்ஜித் காய்கியா ஆகியோரும் போட்டியின்றி தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டனர்.
- 1983இல் உலகக்கோப்பை வென்ற இந்திய அணியை சேர்ந்த ரோஜர் பின்னி அடுத்த ஆண்டு 50 ஓவர் உலகக்கோப்பை போட்டி இந்தியாவில் நடைபெறவிருக்கும் நிலையில் பிசிசிஐ தலைவராகி இருக்கிறார்.
4. ‘பேலோன் தோர்‘ விருது
- கால்பந்து விளையாட்டு உலகில் மதிப்பு மிக்கதாக இருக்கும் பேலோன் தோர் விருதை 2022 ஆம் ஆண்டில் ஆடவர் பிரிவில் பிரான்ஸின் கரீம் பென்ஸிமாவும், மகளிர் பிரிவில் ஸ்பெயினின் அலெக்ஸியா புடெலாஸீம் வென்றனர்.
- இதில் பென்ஸிமா முதல்முறையாக இந்த விருதை வென்றிருக்கும் நிலையில் புடெலாஸ் தொடர்ந்து இரண்டாவது முறையாக அதை கைப்பற்றி இருக்கிறார்.
- மகளிர் பிரிவில் இரண்டு முறை இந்த விருதை வென்ற முதல் வீராங்கனை புடெலாஸ் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
5. இன்டர்போல் தலைவர்
- சர்வதேச காவல்துறை அமைப்பான இன்டர்போலின் 90 வது பொதுச்சபை கூட்டத்தை நரேந்திர மோடி தில்லியில் தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.
- பாகிஸ்தான் உள்பட 195 நாடுகள் உறுப்பினர்களாக உள்ளனர்.
6. ஹிந்தி திணிப்புக்கு எதிரான தீர்மானம்: பேரவையில் நிறைவேறியது
- மத்திய உள்துறை அமைச்சராகவும், அலுவல் மொழி தொடர்பான நாடாளுமன்ற குழு தலைவராகவும் உள்ள அமித்ஷா தலைமையிலான குழு சமீபத்தில் குடியரசுத் தலைவரிடம் அளித்த அறிக்கை தமிழ்நாடு உள்ளிட்ட ஹிந்தி பேசாத மாநில மக்களுக்கு பெரும் பாதிப்பை ஏற்படுத்தும் வகையிலும், பிரதமராக இருந்த நேரு அளித்த வாக்குறுதிக்கு முரணாகவும், பல பரிந்துரைகளை அளித்துள்ளது.
- மத்திய அரசின் அனைத்து கல்வி நிறுவனங்களிலும் ஹிந்தி மொழி பயிற்சி மொழியாக ஆக்கப்பட வேண்டும்.
- இளைஞர்களின் வேலைவாய்ப்பில் கட்டாயத்தாள்களில் ஆங்கிலத்தை நீக்கிவிட்டு ஹிந்தியை மட்டுமே முதன்மை படுத்த வேண்டும் என்பன உள்ளிட்டவையும் அந்த பரிந்துரைகளில் அடங்கும்.
- அண்ணா கொண்டு வந்து நிறைவேற்றிய இரண்டு மொழிக் கொள்கை தீர்மானத்திற்கு எதிராக பிரதமராக இருந்த நேரு ஹிந்தி பேசாத மாநிலங்களுக்கு அளித்த வாக்குறுதிக்கு மாறாக 1968, 1976 ஆண்டுகளில் அலுவல் மொழி தொடர்பாக நிறைவேற்றப்பட்ட தீர்மானங்கள் அதன் அடிப்படையில் ஆங்கில மொழி பயன்படுத்துவது உறுதி செய்யப்பட்டதற்கு எதிராக இப்போது அளிக்கப்பட்ட நாடாளுமன்ற குழுவின் பரிந்துரைகள் அமைந்திருப்பது கவலைக்குரியதாக பேரவை கருதுகிறது.
- எனவே தமிழ் உள்ளிட்ட மாநில மொழிகளுக்கும் அம்மொழிகளை பேசும் மக்களின் நலனுக்கு எதிராகவும் வழங்கப்பட்ட அந்த பரிந்துரைகளை நடைமுறைப்படுத்தக் கூடாது என மத்திய அரசை பேரவை வலியுறுத்துகிறது என தீர்மானத்தில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டிருந்தது.

- இந்த தீர்மானத்தை நிறைவேற்றும் விதமாக பேரவை தலைவர் அப்பாவு குரல் வாக்கெடுப்பு நடத்தினார்.

1. Rs 3,796 for additional expenditure for the financial year 2022-23 Subsidiary estimates per crore
- Finance Minister Palanivel Thiagarajan tabled in the Legislative Assembly the first supplementary estimates of ₹3,796 crore for additional expenditure in Tamil Nadu this fiscal year.
- Sanction of Rs 33.56 crore for Chief Minister’s Breakfast Scheme for government school students.
2. Thoothukudi firing
- Justice Arun Jagatheesan said in his inquiry report that the police acted beyond the limit in the shooting incident in Thoothukudi.
- Following this, the Tamil Nadu government has started the process of taking action against 17 people.
- Chief Secretary V. Irayanbu has issued an order to this effect.
- It is the Commission’s decisive conclusion that the police have overstepped their bounds in the Thoothukudi firing incident.
3. Justice Arumugasamy Commission
- A commission of inquiry headed by Justice Arumugasamy was constituted to inquire into the death of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.
- The commission’s inquiry report was tabled in the Legislative Assembly.
- The investigation report has a total of 68 pages.

2. Buddha Prize for Sri Lankan writer
- The Complaint Prize is the UK’s highest international prize for the best novel.
- The work of the winners of this prize will gain international recognition and increase its sales. This prize is very popular among writers all over the world.
- This year, the novel ‘The Seven Moons of Mali Almeida’ written by Sri Lanka’s leading writer Shekhan, Karunathilaka has won the Booker Prize. This novel is his second novel.
- The prize is worth 50,000 pounds (approx. ₹ 50 lakh) in cash. This novel focuses on the lives of people affected by the Sri Lankan war.
- A panel of judges read 170 entries from all over the world and selected the award winning entry.
3. Roger Binny became the BCCI president
- Roger Binny was elected unopposed as the BCCI’s 36th President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
- Roger Binny was selected for the post at the BCCI Annual General Meeting held in Mumbai to replace outgoing Sourav Ganguly.
- Jai Shah as secretary of the board, Ashish Selar as treasurer, Rajiv Shukla as vice president and Devjit Kaikia as joint secretary were also elected unopposed.
- Roger Binny, a member of the Indian team that won the World Cup in 1983, has become the BCCI president when the 50-over World Cup will be held in India next year.
4. ‘Ballon Thor’ Award
- France’s Karim Benzema and Spain’s Alexia Budelasime won the prestigious Ballon Thor award in 2022 in the men’s category and in the women’s category.
- While Benzema has won the award for the first time, Budelas has won it for the second time in a row.
- Notably, Budelas is the first player to win the award twice in the women’s category.
5. President of Interpol
- Narendra Modi inaugurated the 90th General Assembly of Interpol, the international police organization, in Delhi.
- 195 countries including Pakistan are members.
6. Resolution Against Imposition of Hindi: Passed in Assembly
- The committee led by Amit Shah, who is the Union Home Minister and Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Official Language, has recently given a report to the President that will have a great impact on the people of non-Hindi speaking states including Tamil Nadu and has made many recommendations contrary to the promise made by Nehru who was the Prime Minister.
- Hindi should be made the medium of instruction in all central government educational institutions.
- Among the recommendations are that English should be removed from mandatory papers for youth employment and only Hindi should be prioritized.
- The Assembly considers it worrisome that the recommendations of the parliamentary committee are against the resolutions passed in 1968 and 1976 regarding the use of English as the official language, contrary to the promise made by Prime Minister Nehru to the non-Hindi speaking states against the two language policy resolution brought by Anna and passed.
- Therefore, it was mentioned in the resolution that the assembly urges the central government not to implement those recommendations given against the welfare of the state languages including Tamil and the people who speak those languages.
