- குவெம்பு ராஷ்ட்ரிய புரஸ்கார் விருதுக்கு எழுத்தாளர் இமையம் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளதற்கு முதல்வர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் வாழ்த்துத் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
- கன்னட இலக்கியத்தின் மிகப்பெரும் ஆளுமை குவெம்பு. இவரது நினைவு அறக்கட்டளை கடந்த 2013-ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல், பெயரிலான ஆண்டுதோறும் ஒவ்வொரு மொழியிலும் சிறந்து விளங்கும் எழுத்தாளர்களுக்கு ராஷ்ட்ரிய புரஸ்கார் தேசிய விருது வழங்கி கெளரவித்து வருவது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
மாநில செய்திகள்
1. தமிழகத்துக்கு ஜிஎஸ்டி இழப்பீடு ரூ.1,188 கோடி விடுவிப்பு
- ஜிஎஸ்டி இழப்பீட்டுத் தொகையாக 24 மாநிலங்களுக்கு ரூ.17,000 கோடி விடுவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக மத்திய நிதியமைச்சகம் தெரிவித்தது.
- இதில் தமிழகத்துக்கு ரூ.1,188 கோடியும் புதுச்சேரிக்கு ரூ.73 கோடியும் விடுவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- அதிகபட்சமாக மகாராஷ்டிரம் (ரூ.2,081 கோடி), உத்தரபிரதேசம் (ரூ.1,202 கோடி), தில்லி (ரூ.1,200 கோடி), கர்நாடகம்: (ரூ.1915 கோடி) ஆகியமாநிலங்கள் பெற்றுள்ளன.
- மாநிலங்கள் மற்றும் யூனியன் பிரதேசங்களுக்கு மேற்கண்ட தொகை உள்பட 2022-23-ஆம் ஆண்டில் மொத்த இழப்பீட்டுத் தொகையாக இதுவரை ரூ.1,15,662 கோடி விடுவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- 2022 அக்டோபர் வரை மொத்த செஸ் வரிவசூல் ரூ.72,147 கோடி தான். இருப்பினும், மத்திய அரசு தனது சொந்த நிதி ஆதாரங்களிலிருந்து ரூ.43,515 கோடியையும் ஒதுக்கி மாநிலங்களுக்கு விடுவித்துள்ளது.
நியமனம்
1. 2023-25-ஆண்டுக்கான ஐஇசி துணைத் தலைமை பொறுப்பில் இந்தியா
- 2023 முதல் 2025-ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான சர்வதேச மின்தொழில்நுட்ப ஆணைய (ஐஇசி) துணை தலைமை பொறுப்பு இந்தியாவுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- ஐஇசி என்பது மின், மின்னணு மற்றும் அதுசார்ந்த தொழில் நுட்பங்களின் சர்வதேச தரத்தை வெளியிடும் சர்வதேச தர நிர்ணய அமைப்பாகும்.
- ஐஇசியின் நிர்வாக அமைப்பான உத்தி நிர்வாக வாரியம் (எஸ்எம்பி) தொழில்நுட்ப கொள்கை விவகாரங்களுக்கு பொறுப்பாக உள்ளது.
- இந்நிலையில், அண்மையில் அமெரிக்காவில் உள்ள சான் ஃபிரான்சிஸ்கோ நகரில் ஐஇசி பொதுக்கூட்டம் நடைபெற்றது.
- இந்தக்கூட்டத்தில், 2023-25-ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான ஐஇசி துணை தலைவரை தேர்வு செய்ய வாக்கெடுப்பு நடைபெற்றது.
- இதில் ஐஇசியின் இந்திய தேசிய குழு உறுப்பினர் விமல் மஹேந்திருவுக்கு 90 சதவீத வாக்குகள் அளிக்கப்பட்டன.
- இதையடுத்து அவர் துணை தலைவராக தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டார். அவர் 2023 முதல் 2025- ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான எஸ்எம்பி தலைவராகவும் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளார் என்று தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

1. லசித் பர்ஃபுகானின் 400-ஆவது பிறந்த தினம்
- அஸ்ஸாம் பகுதிகளை சுமார் 600 ஆண்டுகளாக கட்டுப்படுத்தி வந்த அஹோம் சிற்றரசைச் சேர்ந்தவரும் ஒளரங்கசீப் தலைமையிலான முகலாய படைகளைத் தோற்கடித்தவருமான லசித் பர்ஃபுகானின் 400-ஆவது பிறந்த தின கொண்டாட்டங்களை அரசு முன்னெடுத்து வருகிறது. தில்லியில் 3 நாள் கொண்டாட்டங்கள் தொடங்கின.
- பர்ஃபுகான் குறித்த சிறப்பு கண்காட்சியை மத்திய நிதியமைச்சர் நிர்மலா சீதாராமன் தொடக்கி வைத்தார்.

1. உலகில் சிறுதானியங்கள் உற்பத்தியில் இந்தியா முதலிடம்
- மத்திய வேளாண் துறை அமைச்சர் நரேந்திர சிங் தோமர் கூறுகையில், உலகில் சிறுதானியங்கள் உற்பத்தியில் இந்தியா முதலிடம் வகிக்கிறது.
- கடந்த 2018-19 பயிர்ப்பருவத்தில் (ஜூலை-ஜூன்) 1.317 கோடி டன்னாக இருந்த சிறுதானியங்கள் உற்பத்தி, 2021-22 பயிர்ப் பருவத்தில் 1.8 கோடி டன்னாக அதி கரித்துள்ளது. மத்திய அரசின் பல்வேறு திட்டங்களிலும் சிறுதானியங்களுக்கு முக்கியத்துவம் அளிக்ககப்பட்டு வருகிறது.

1. Relief of GST compensation of Rs.1,188 crore to Tamil Nadu
- Finance Ministry announced that Rs 17,000 crore has been released to 24 states as GST compensation.
- Of this, Rs.1,188 crore has been released to Tamil Nadu and Rs.73 crore to Puducherry.
- Maharashtra (Rs. 2,081 crore), Uttar Pradesh (Rs. 1,202 crore), Delhi (Rs. 1,200 crore), Karnataka: (Rs. 1915 crore) have received maximum.
- Including the above amount to States and Union Territories, a total compensation amount of Rs.1,15,662 crore has so far been released for the year 2022-23.

1. India under IEC Vice-Chairmanship for 2023-25
- India has been given the vice-chairmanship of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) from 2023 to 2025.
- IEC is an international standardization organization that publishes international standards for electrical, electronic and related technologies.
- The Strategic Management Board (SMB), the governing body of the IEC, is responsible for technical policy matters.
- In this case, the IEC general meeting was held recently in San Francisco, USA.
- In this meeting, a vote was held to elect the IEC Vice-Chairman for the year 2023-25.
- 90 percent of the votes were given to Vimal Mahendru, member of the Indian National Committee of IEC.
- Subsequently he was elected Vice President. It is reported that he has also been selected as the SMP President for the year 2023 to 2025.

1. India Celebrates 400th Birth Anniversary of Lachit Barphukan
- The government is leading the 400th birth anniversary celebrations of Lachit Barphukan, the Ahom dynasty who ruled Assam for about 600 years and defeated the Mughal forces led by aurangzeb. 3 day celebrations started in Delhi.

1. India is the largest producer of small grains in the world
- Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that India is the first producer of small grains in the world.
- Production of small grains increased from 1.317 crore tonnes in last 2018-19 crop season (July-June) to 1.8 crore tonnes in 2021-22 crop season. Importance is being given to small grains in various schemes of the central government.
