- பெட்ரோல் டீசல் விலை உயர்வால் அணைத்து தரப்பினரும் அவதிப்பட்டு வரும் நிலையில், பெட்ரோல் மீதான கலால் வரியை 8 ரூபாயும், டீசல் மீதான கலால் வரியை 6 ரூபாயும் மத்திய அரசு குறைத்துள்ளது. இதன் காரணமாக பெட்ரோல் விலை லிட்டருக்கு ரூபாய் 9.50, டீசல் விலை லிட்டருக்கு ரூபாய் 7-ம் குறைந்துள்ளது.
- பிரதமரின் இலவச சமையல் எரிவாயு திட்டத்தின் கீழ் பயன் பெரும் 9 கோடி பேருக்கு இந்த ஆண்டில் சிலிண்டருக்கு ரூபாய் 200 மானியம் (12 சிலிண்டருக்கு) வழங்கப்படும் எண்டு நிதியமைச்சர் நிர்மலா சீதாராமன் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

- குறுவை சாகுபடிக்காக மேட்டூர் அணை மே 24-ம் தேதி திறக்கப்படுகிறது. நாடு சுதந்திரம் அடைந்த பிறகு முதல் முறையாக கோடை காலத்தில் மேட்டூர் அணையில் இருந்து தண்ணீர் திறந்து விடப்படுகிறது. இதற்கு முன்பாக 1942, 1943, 1944 மாறும் 1945-ம் ஆண்டுகளில் மேட்டூர் அணையில் இருந்து தண்ணீர் திறந்துவிடப்பட்டுள்ளது
- எழும்பூர் ரயில் நிலையம் முழுமையாக உலக தரம் வாய்ந்த நிலையமாக மறு சீரமைப்பு செய்யப்படவுள்ளது. இதற்காக ரூபாய் 760 கோடி மதிப்பிலான திட்டப்பணிகளை பிரதமர் மோடி வரும் 26-ம் தேதி தொடங்கி வைக்கவுள்ளார்.
- மாதிரி ரயில் நிலையம் திட்டத்தின் கீழ், நாட்டில் 590 ரயில் நிலையங்கள் மேம்பட்டு பணிகளை மேற்கொள்ள தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. அரக்கோணம், செங்கல்பட்டு, சென்னை சென்ட்ரல், எழும்பூர், சென்னை கடற்கரை, கோயம்புத்தூர், மதுரை, திருச்சிராப்பள்ளி, ராமேஸ்வரம், கன்னியாகுமாரி, ஓசூர் உள்ளிட்ட 27 ரயில் நிலையங்கள் மேம்படுத்தப்பட உள்ளது. முதல் கட்டமாக சென்னை எழும்பூர், மதுரை, காட்பாடி, ராமேஸ்வரம், கன்னியாகுமாரி ஆகிய 5 ரயில் நிலையங்கள் ரூபாய் 1000 கோடி மதிப்பில் உலகத்தரத்தில் மேம்படுத்தப்படவுள்ளது.
- பிரான்சில் அண்மையில் நடைபெற்ற காது கேளாதவறுக்கான ஒலிம்பிக்ஸ் போட்டியில் பதக்கம் வென்ற இந்திய போட்டியாளர்களுக்கு பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி விருந்து அளித்தார். இந்த போட்டியில் இந்திய 8 தங்கம், 1 வெள்ளி, 8 வெண்கலம் உள்ளிட்ட 17 பதக்கங்களை வென்றது. மேலும் வரலாற்றில் முதல் முறையாக இந்தியா டாப் 10 இடங்களுக்கு வந்துள்ளது.

குரங்கு அம்மை எனப்படும் வைரஸ் தொற்று ஐரோப்பிய நாடுகள் பலவற்றிலும், அமெரிக்கா, கனடா, ஆஸ்திரேலியா ஆகிய நாடுகளிலும் பரவி வருகிறது. பெல்ஜியம், பிரான்ஸ், ஜொ்மனி ஆகியவற்றில் கடந்த வெள்ளிக்கிழமை புதிதாக இந்தத் தொற்று உறுதி செய்யப்பட்டது. இதுவரை 12 நாடுகளில் 80 பேருக்கு பரவியுள்ளது.
குரங்கு அம்மை என்றால் என்ன?
குரங்கு அம்மை வைரஸால் குரங்கு அம்மைத் தொற்று ஏற்படுகிறது. பெரியம்மை போன்ற வகையைச் சோ்ந்தது. பொதுவாக இது தீவிரத்தன்மை இல்லாதது. மத்திய மற்றும் மேற்கு ஆப்பிரிக்காவில் பொதுவாக காணப்படும் இந்த வைரஸ், முதன்முதலில் 1958-இல் குரங்குகளிடம் கண்டறியப்பட்டது. மனிதருக்கு இந்த வைரஸ் பாதிப்பு முதல்முறையாக 1970-இல் காங்கோ நாட்டில் கண்டறியப்பட்டது. இந்த வைரஸ் தொற்று 2017 முதல் நைஜீரியா, காங்கோ நாடுகளில் மீண்டும் பரவி வருகிறது. இப்போது குரங்கு அம்மைத் தொற்று பிரிட்டனில் முதல்முறையாகக் கண்டறியப்பட்டது.
எப்படி பரவுகிறது?
வைரஸால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டவா் அல்லது விலங்குகளுடன் நெருங்கிய தொடா்பு கொள்ளும்போது இந்தக் குரங்கு அம்மைத் தொற்று பரவுகிறது. எலிகள், அணில்கள் போன்ற கொறித்து உண்ணும் விலங்குகளிடமிருந்து பரவுவதாக நம்பப்படுகிறது. மனிதா்களுக்கு மனிதா்கள் பரவுவது என்பது எச்சில், சளி மூலமாக இருக்கலாம். விலங்குகளிடமிருந்து மனிதா்களுக்கு என்பது கடித்தலின் மூலம் இருக்கலாம். உடல் திரவங்கள், சுவாச நீா்த்துளிகள், வைரஸ் கலந்த பொருள்கள் மூலம் அல்லது கண்கள், மூக்கு, வாய் வழியாக இந்த வைரஸ் உடலுக்குள் நுழையலாம்
அறிகுறிகள் என்ன?
காய்ச்சல், தலைவலி, உடல் வலி, வீக்கம், முதுகுவலி உள்ளிட்டவை குரங்கு அம்மையின் ஆரம்பகட்ட அறிகுறிகள். காய்ச்சல் தொடங்கி ஒன்றிலிருந்து மூன்று நாள்களுக்குள் அரிப்பு ஏற்படுகிறது. முகத்தில் தோன்றும் இந்த அரிப்பு பின்னா் கைகள், உள்ளங்கால்களுக்குப் பரவுகிறது. இந்த நோய்த்தொற்று பொதுவாக இரண்டு முதல் நான்கு வாரங்களுக்கு நீடிக்கும். பின்னா், தானாகவே மறைந்துவிடும்.
சிகிச்சை என்ன?
குரங்கு அம்மைக்கு என இப்போது தனியாக சிகிச்சை எதுவும் இல்லை. இருப்பினும் பெரியம்மை தடுப்பூசிகள் இந்த வைரஸ் பரவுவதைத் தடுப்பதில் பெரிதும் பயனுள்ளவையாக நிரூபிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. விமான நிலையங்கள் மற்றும் துறைமுகங்களில் சுகாதாரத் துறை அதிகாரிகள் இதுதொடா்பாக கண்காணிக்கவும் மத்திய சுகாதாரத் துறை அமைச்சகம் அறிவுறுத்தியுள்ளது.

- Overseas monkeypox infection
The monkeypox virus is endemic in many European countries, including the United States, Canada, and Australia. The infection was newly confirmed last Friday in Belgium, France and Jomney. So far it has spread to 80 people in 12 countries.
What is Monkey Measles?

What is the treatment?
There is currently no single treatment for monkeypox. However, smallpox vaccines have been shown to be highly effective in preventing the spread of the virus. The Ministry of Health has also instructed health officials to monitor airports and ports in this regard.
