- உலக பழங்குடியினர் சர்வதேச தினம்.
- சர்வதேச பழங்குடிகள் தினம் 1982 ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் 39 ஆம் ஆண்டாக ஆகஸ்ட் ஒன்பதாம் தேதி கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

1. கைத்தறி நெசவாளர்கள், ஏற்றுமதியாளர்களுக்கு விருது
- பட்டு பருத்தி ரகங்களுக்கான சிறந்த கைத்தறி நெசவாளர்கள், ஏற்றுமதியாளர்களுக்கான விருதுகளை முதல்வர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் வழங்கினார்.
- இதற்கான நிகழ்ச்சி சென்னை தலைமைச் செயலகத்தில் நடைபெற்றது.

2. கொந்தகை அகழாய்வில் 74 சூது பவளமணிகள் கண்டெடுப்பு
- அகழாய்வில் முதுமக்கள் தாழிக்குள் 74 சூது பவளமணிகள் கண்டெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
- சிவகங்கை மாவட்டம் திருப்புவனம் அருகே கீழடி, அகரம், கொந்தகை, மணலூர் ஆகிய பகுதிகளில் எட்டாம் கட்ட அகழாய்வு பணிகள் நடைபெற்று வருகின்றன.
- கொந்தகையில் நடைபெற்று வரும் அகழாய்வு பணியில் இதுவரை 55 முதுமக்கள் தாழிகள் எடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
- அவற்றில் ஒரு தாழியினுள் அடர் சிவப்பு நிறமுடைய 74 சூது பவள மணிகள் உள்ளன.
- பழங்காலத்தில் இந்த இறந்த நபர்களை தாழியினுள் வைத்து புதைக்கும் போது அவர்கள் பயன்படுத்திய பொருள்களையும் வைத்து புதைப்பது வழக்கம்.
- அந்த வகையில் தற்போது கண்டெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ள சூது பவளம் மணிகளும் வைக்கப்பட்டு இருக்கலாம். இவை அனைத்தும் 3 சென்டிமீட்டர் நீளமுள்ள பவளமணிகள்.
- இதனை இறந்தவர் மாலையாக அணிந்திருக்கலாம் என தொல்லியலாளர்கள் தெரிவித்தனர்.
3. நெல் சாகுபடியில் தோய்வு
- நாட்டின் நடப்பு கரீஃப் பருவத்தில் நெல் சாகுபடி நிலப்பரப்பு 13 சதவீதம் குறைந்துள்ளதாக தகவல் தெரிவிக்கின்றன.
- ஆகஸ்ட் 5ஆம் தேதி நிலவரப்படி நாட்டில் நெல் பயிரிடப்பட்டுள்ள நிலப்பரப்பு 274.30 லட்சம் ஹெக்டேராக இருந்தது.
- இது கடந்த ஆண்டு இதே காலகட்டத்தில் 314.14 லட்சம் ஹெக்டேராக இருந்தது. நெல் பயிரிடப்படும் நிலப்பரப்பு 13 சதவீதம் குறைந்துள்ளது.

1. மாநிலங்களவை செயல் திறன் 70% அதிகரிப்பு
- குடியரசு துணைத் தலைவர் வெங்கையா நாயுடுவின் திறன்மிக்க தலைமையின் காரணமாக மாநிலங்களவையின் செயல் திறன் 70 சதவீதம் அதிகரித்துள்ளதாக பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி புகழாரம் சூட்டினார்.
- வெங்கையா நாயுடு அவை தலைவராக திகழ்ந்த ஐந்தாண்டு காலத்தில் மாநிலங்களவையில் 177 மசோதாக்கள் மீது விவாதம் நடத்தப்பட்டோ அல்லது ஒப்புதல் பெறப்பட்டோ உள்ளது.
2. தர மதிப்பிலும் அதிகம்
- இந்தியாவைப் பொறுத்தவரை அதிக கிரேண்ட் மாஸ்டர்களை கொண்ட நாடுகள் பட்டியலில் ஐந்தாவது இடத்தில் இருக்கிறது.

1. 2026 செஸ் ஒலிம்பியாட்
- 2026 இல் ஒலிம்பியாட் போட்டிகள் உஸ்பெகிஸ்தானில் நடைபெறும் என சர்வதேச செஸ் கூட்டமைப்பு (ஃபிடே) பொதுக்குழு கூட்டத்தில் முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டது.

1. Award to handloom weavers, exporters
- CM Stalin presented awards to the best handloom weavers and exporters for silk and cotton varieties.
- The event was held at Chennai Headquarters.
- For State Level Best Handloom Weaver Award for Silk category for the year 2021-2022
- First Prize to Tribhuvanam Silk Handloom Weavers Cooperative Member,
- Second Prize to Kanchipuram Scholar Anna Pattu Handloom Weavers Cooperative Society,
- The third prize was also announced to Arani Pattu Handloom Weavers Cooperative Society.

2. Discovery of 74 Sutu Coral Beads in Kontakhai Excavation
- In the excavation, 74 coral beads were found in the old man’s chest.
- The eighth phase of excavation work is going on in the areas of Keezadi, Akaram, Kontakhai and Manalur near Tiruppuvanam in Sivagangai district.
- In the ongoing excavation work at Kontakhai, 55 elderly people’s talismans have been recovered so far.
- They contain 74 dark red coral beads in a thali.
- In ancient times, it was customary to bury these dead persons in a sack with the things they used to bury them.
- The Sutu coral beads which have been found in that way may also have been kept. These are all 3 cm long coral beads.
- Archaeologists said that the deceased may have worn it as a garland.
3. Dip in rice cultivation
