மாநில செய்திகள்
1. மத்திய வரி பகிர்வில் மாநிலங்களுக்கு ரூபாய் 1.16 லட்சம் கோடி விடுவிப்பு
- மாநிலங்களுக்கு அளிக்கப்படும் மாதாந்திர வரிப்பகிர்வில் நிகழ் ஆகஸ்ட் மாதத்தில் இரண்டு தவணை நிதியாக ரூபாய் 1,16,22,75 கோடியை 28 மாநிலங்களுக்கு மத்திய நிதி அமைச்சகம் விடுவித்துள்ளது.
- இதில் தமிழகத்துக்கு ரூபாய் 4758 கோடி ஒதுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- மாநிலங்களுக்கு அளிக்கப்படும் வழக்கமான மாதாந்திர தவணை ரூபாய் 5832.86 கோடியாகும்.
- இந்த மாதம் மற்றொரு தவணையும் சேர்த்து வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- கடந்த நவம்பரிலும் இதுபோன்று வழங்கப்பட்டது.
- 15ஆவது நிதி ஆணையத்தின் பரிந்துரையின்படி மத்திய அரசின் மொத்த வரி வருவாயில் 41 சதவீதம் மாநிலங்களுக்கு பகிர்ந்து அளிக்கப்படுகிறது.
மத்திய அரசின் செய்தி
1. உச்சநீதிமன்ற புதிய தலைமை நீதிபதி
- உச்ச நீதிமன்றத்தின் 49வது தலைமை நீதிபதியாக யு.யு.லலித் நியமனம் செய்யப்பட்டார்.
- உச்சநீதிமன்றத்தின் தலைமை நீதிபதி பதவியானது பணி மூப்பின் அடிப்படையில் வழங்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது.
- பொறுப்பில் உள்ள தலைமை நீதிபதி தான் ஓய்வு பெறுவதற்கு முன்னதாக அடுத்த தலைமை நீதிபதி யார் என பரிந்துரைத்து அறிவிப்பது நடைமுறையில் உள்ளது.
- அரசியலமைப்பு சட்டப்பிரிவு 124 துணை பிரிவு (2) அளித்துள்ள அதிகாரத்தின் அடிப்படையில் உச்சநீதிமன்றத்தின் புதிய தலைமை நீதிபதியாக யு.யு.லலித்தை குடியரசு தலைவர் நியமத்துள்ளார்.
- நேரடி நியமனம் பெறும் இரண்டாவது தலைமை நீதிபதி:
- தலைமை நீதிபதியாக யு.யு.லலித் நியமிக்கப்பட்டதன் மூலமாக வழக்குரைஞராக இருந்து நேரடியாக உச்ச நீதிமன்ற நீதிபதியாகவும் பின்னர் தலைமை நீதிபதியாகவும் ஆகும் இரண்டாவது நபர் என்ற பெருமையை அடைந்துள்ளார்.
- பிரபல மூத்த வழக்குரைஞராக இருந்து வந்த யு.யு.லலித் கடந்த 2014 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 13ஆம் தேதி நேரடியாக உச்சநீதிமன்ற நீதிபதியாக நியமனம் செய்யப்பட்டார்.
- இவருக்கு முன்பாக நீதிபதி எஸ்.எம்.சிக்ரி வழக்குரைஞராக இருந்து நேரடியாக உச்ச நீதிமன்ற நீதிபதியாகவும், அதன் பிறகு நாட்டின் 13 வது தலைமை நீதிபதியாகவும் கடந்த 1971 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரியில் பதவியேற்றார்.
2. கோர்பிவேக்ஸ்
- கோவாக்ஸின், கோவிட்ஷீல்ட் கரோனா தடுப்பூசி செலுத்தியவர்களுக்கு முன்னெச்சரிக்கை தவணையாக (பூஸ்டர்) ‘பயாலஜிக்கல் இ’ நிறுவனத்தின் கோர்பிவேக்ஸ் தடுப்பூசியை செலுத்த மத்திய அரசு அனுமதி அளித்தது.
- முன்னெச்சரிக்கை தவணையில் மாறுபட்ட தடுப்பூசியை செலுத்த அனுமதிப்பது இந்தியாவில் இதுவே முதல் முறையாகும்.
- கோர்பிவாக்ஸ் தடுப்பூசி தற்போது கரோனா தடுப்பூசி திட்டத்தின் கீழ் 12 முதல் 14 வயது வரை உடைய சிறார்களுக்கு செலுத்தப்பட்டு வருகிறது.
3. சீனாவில் புதிய ‘வைரஸ்’
- கொரோனாவை போலவே மிருகங்களிடமிருந்து மனிதர்களின் உடல்களில் உருமாறித் தாவிய ‘லாங்யா ஹெனிபா வைரஸ்’ என்ற புதிய தீநுண்மி சீனாவில் பரவி வருவதாக தைவான் நோய்கள் கட்டுப்பாட்டு மையம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
- அந்த நாட்டில் இதுவரை 35 பேருக்கு அந்த தீநுண்மி பரவியுள்ளது உறுதி செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
4. இந்தியா ஆஸ்திரேலியா திரைப்பட ஒப்பந்தம்
- இந்தியாவிற்கும், ஆஸ்திரேலியாவிற்கும் இடையே ஒரு ஆடியோ காட்சி இணை தயாரிப்பு ஒப்பந்தத்தில் கையெழுத்திட மத்திய அமைச்சரவை ஒப்புதல் அளித்துள்ளது.
- இது இரு நாடுகளுக்கும் இடையே திரைப்படங்களின் கூட்டு தயாரிப்பை எளிதாக்குவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
விளையாட்டு செய்திகள்
1. தங்கம் வென்றார் பவானி தேவி
- இங்கிலாந்தில் நடைபெறும் காமன்வெல்த் வாள் வீச்சு சாம்பியன்ஷிப் போட்டியில் இந்திய வீராங்கனை பவானி தேவி தங்கப்பதக்கம் வென்று அசத்தியிருக்கிறார்.
2. சர்வதேச வுஷு: இந்தியாவுக்கு தங்கம்
- ஜார்ஜியாவில் நடைபெற்ற சர்வதேச வுஷு போட்டியில் 18 வயதுக்கு உட்பட்ட சிறுமிகள் பிரிவில் இந்தியாவின் பிரியங்கா கெவாட் தங்கப்பதக்கம் வென்றிருக்கிறார்.
- சீன தற்காப்பு கலை வடிவமான வுஷு விளையாட்டு, ஆசிய விளையாட்டுப் போட்டிகள், தெற்காசிய விளையாட்டுப் போட்டிகள் உள்ளிட்டவற்றில் இடம்பெறுகிறது.

State news
1. Relief of Rs 1.16 Lakh Crore to States in Central Tax Distribution
- The Union Finance Ministry has released Rs 1,16,225,75 crore to 28 states in two installments in the month of August in the monthly tax distribution to the states.
- Of this, ₹4758.78 crore has been allocated to Tamil Nadu.
- The regular monthly installment to the states is Rs.5832.86 crores.
- Another installment has been added this month.
- This was also given last November.
- As per 15th Finance Commission recommendations, 41 percent of the total tax revenue of the Central Government is shared with the States.

1. New Chief Justice of Supreme Court
- U.U.Lalit was appointed as the 49th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
- The post of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court is given on the basis of seniority.
- It is customary for the incumbent Chief Justice to nominate and announce the next Chief Justice before his retirement.
- The President has appointed U.U.Lalith as the new Chief Justice of the Supreme Court based on the authority conferred by Article 124 sub-section (2) of the Constitution.
- Directly appointed Second Chief Justice:
- With the appointment of Chief Justice U.U.Lalit has become the second person to become a Supreme Court judge directly from a lawyer and later become the Chief Justice.
- U.U.Lalit, who was a famous senior advocate, was directly appointed as Supreme Court judge on 13th August 2014.
- Before him, Justice S.M.Sikri was a lawyer and directly became a judge of the Supreme Court and then became the 13th Chief Justice of the country in January 1971.
2. Corbivax
- The central government has approved the administration of the ‘Biological E’ company’s CorbiVax vaccine as a booster dose (booster) to those who have received Covacsin, CovidShield Corona vaccine.
- This is the first time in India to allow administration of a variant vaccine in the precautionary phase.
- CorbiVax vaccine is currently being administered to minors aged 12 to 14 years under the Corona vaccination programme.
3. New ‘virus’ in China
- The Taiwan Center for Disease Control has reported that a new pest called ‘Langya henipa virus’, which has metamorphosed from animals to humans like Corona, is spreading in China.
- So far 35 people have been confirmed infected with the virus in the country.
4. India Australia Film Treaty
- The Union Cabinet has approved the signing of an Audio Visual Co-Production Agreement between India and Australia.
- It aims to facilitate joint production of films between the two countries.

1. Bhavani Devi won gold
- Indian athlete Bhavani Devi won the gold medal in the Commonwealth Fencing Championship held in England.
2. International Wushu: Gold for India
- India’s Priyanka Kewat has won the gold medal in girls’ under-18 category at the
- International Wushu Tournament held in Georgia.
- Wushu, a Chinese martial art form, is featured in Asian Games, South Asian Games, etc.
