• உலக மாணவர் தினம்
• ஏ.பி.ஜே.அப்துல் கலாமின்  பிறந்தநாளைக் குறிக்கும் வகையில் ஆண்டுதோறும் அக்டோபர் 15ஆம் தேதி உலக மாணவர் தினம் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.

1. தமிழியக்க விருது

• தமிழியக்கத்தின் விருது பெற தமிழறிஞர் ப.அருளி தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளார். தமிழறிஞர் அருளி புதுச்சேரியில் பிறந்து வாழ்ந்து வருபவர்.
• இவர் வணிகவியல், சட்டம் பயின்றவர்.
• பாவாணர், பெருஞ்சித்திரனார் ஆகியோரின் கொள்கையில் ஆழ்ந்த ஈடுபாடு கொண்டவர்.
• தமிழ் வேர்ச்சொல் ஆய்வுகளில் புலமை பெற்றவர்.
• தூய தமிழில் உரையாற்றுவதால் தமிழகத்திலும், அயல்நாடுகளிலும் புகழ்பெற்ற பேச்சாளராக விளங்குபவர்.
• தமிழினத் தொண்டியக்கம் நிறுவி, சமூகத் தொண்டாற்றி வருபவர்.
• தஞ்சை தமிழ் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் தூய தமிழ்-சொல்லாக்க அகர முதல துறையின் தலைவராக பணியாற்றியுள்ளார்.

மத்திய செய்திகள்

1. கிருஷ்ணா நதி மீது கேபிள் பாலம்

• நாட்டிலேயே முதன்முறையாக கிருஷ்ணா நதி மீது ஆந்திரா தெலுங்கானா ஆகிய இரு தெலுங்கு மாநிலங்களை இணைக்கும்  விதத்தில் ரூபாய் 1082.56 கோடி செலவில் கேபிள் (கம்பி) பாலம் அமைக்கப்பட உள்ளது.
• இதற்கான ஒப்புதலை மத்திய அரசு வழங்கியுள்ளது.
• தெலுங்கானா மாநிலம், நாகர் கர்னூல் மாவட்டத்திலுள்ள சோமசீலா பகுதியில் தொடங்கும் இந்த கேபிள் மேம்பாலம், ஆந்திராவில் கர்னூல் மாவட்டம், ஆத்மகூரில் நிறைவடையும்.
• இந்த பால கட்டுமான பணி முடிவடைந்தால் உலகிலேயே இரண்டாவது கேபிள் பாலமாகவும் நாட்டிலேயே முதல் கேபிள் பாலமாகவும் பெயர் பெரும் என அமைச்சர் கட்கரி தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

2. ஜிஎஸ்எல்வி எம்-3

• பிரிட்டனின் 36 செயற்கைக்கோள்களை ஜிஎஸ்எல்வி எம்-3 கனரக ராக்கெட் மூலம் வரும் 23ஆம் தேதி விண்ணில் செலுத்த இந்திய விண்வெளி ஆராய்ச்சி அமைப்பு (இஸ்ரோ) திட்டமிட்டுள்ளது.
• வணிக பயன்பாட்டுக்காக செயல்படுத்தப்பட உள்ள இத்திட்டம் இஸ்ரோவின் ‘நியூ ஸ்பேஸ் இந்தியா நிறுவனம்‘ மற்றும் பிரிட்டனின் ‘ஒன் வெப்‘ நிறுவனம் இடையே மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட பிரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தங்களின் அடிப்படையில் முன்னெடுக்கப்படுகிறது.
• 43.5 மீட்டர் உயரமும் 640 டன் எடையும் கொண்டது.
• உலகின் முன்னணி தொலைத்தொடர்பு நிறுவனங்களில் ஒன்றான ஒன் வெப் நிறுவனம் அரசு, வர்த்தகம், கல்வி பயன்பாட்டுக்கான தொலைதொடர்பு சேவைக்காக இந்த செயற்கை கோள்களை அனுப்பவுள்ளது.
• இந்தியாவின் பார்தி தொலைதொடர்பு சேவை நிறுவனம், ஒன் வெப் நிறுவனத்தின் முக்கிய பங்குதாரராகவும், முதலீட்டாளராகவும் இருப்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

3. ஐஎன்எஸ் அரிஹந்த்

• இந்தியாவின் ஐஎன்எஸ் அரிஹந்த் அணுசக்தி நீர்மூழ்கி கப்பல், ஏவுகணை வகைகளில் ஒன்றான பாலிஸ்டிக் ஏவுகணையை கடலுக்கு அடியில் இருந்து வெற்றிகரமாக விண்ணில் செலுத்தியது. 
• வங்க கடல் பகுதியில் நடைபெற்ற இந்த சோதனைகள் விண்ணில் ஏவப்பட்ட ஏவுகணை இலக்கை துல்லியமாக தாக்கியது.

4. 5ஜி வேகத்தில் ஜியோ முதலிடம்

• இந்தியாவில் ஐந்தாம் தலைமுறை தகவல் தொடர்பு தொழில்நுட்பமான 5ஜி-யின் பதிவிறக்க வேகத்தில் ரிலையன்ஸ் ஜியோ முதலிடம் வகிப்பதாக இணையதள வேக சோதனை நிறுவனமான ஊக்லா தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
• ‘ஸ்பீடு டெஸ்ட் இன்டலிஜென்ஸ்‘ தொழில்நுட்பம் மூலம் நாட்டின் 5ஜி இணையதள இணைப்பின் வேகம் குறித்து சோதிக்கப்பட்டது.
• தில்லியில் நடத்தப்பட்ட இந்த சோதனையில் ஏர்டெல் நிறுவனம் 5ஜி பதிவிறக்க வேகம் 197.98 எம்பிபிஎஸ் வரை இருந்தது.
• அதேநேரம் ஜியோ 5ஜி இணைப்பின் பதிவிறக்க வேகம் 598.58 எம்பிபிஎஸ் வரை இருந்தது.
• பார்தி ஏர்டெல் நிறுவனம் தனது  5ஜி சேவையை சென்னை, தில்லி, மும்பை, பெங்களூரு, ஹைதராபாத், சிலிகுரி, நாகபுரி, வாரணாசி ஆகிய நகரங்களில் அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
• ஜியோ நிறுவனமும், டெல்லி, மும்பை, கொல்கத்தா, வாரணாசி நகரங்களில் சோதனை முறையில் தனது  5ஜி சேவை வழங்கி வருகிறது.

1. Tamiliyaka Award

• Tamil scholar P. Aruli has been selected to receive the award of Tamiliyakkam. Tamil scholar Aruli was born and lives in Puducherry.
• He studied Commerce and Law.
• He was deeply involved in the principles of Bavanar and Perunchitranar.
• Proficient in Tamil etymological studies.
• He is a famous orator in Tamil Nadu and abroad due to his pure Tamil speech.
• Founder of Tamilnath charity and social philanthropist.
• Served as Head of the Department of Pure Tamil-Orthodox Akara, Tanjore Tamil University.
• He authored about 30 books and more than 250 articles.
• Presented theses in universities.

Central News

1. Cable bridge over river Krishna

• For the first time in the country, a cable (wire) bridge is going to be constructed over the Krishna River to connect the two Telugu states of Andhra Telangana at a cost of Rs 1082.56 crore.
• Central Government has given approval for this.
• The cable-stayed flyover will start at Someseela in Nagar Kurnool District, Telangana and will end at Atmakur, Kurnool District in Andhra Pradesh.
• Minister Gadkari said that if the construction of this bridge is completed, it will be the second cable bridge in the world and the first cable bridge in the country.

2. GSLV M-3

• The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) plans to launch 36 British satellites on the 23rd on the GSLV M-3 heavy rocket.
• The project, which is to be implemented for commercial use, is being carried out on the basis of separation agreements between ISRO’s ‘New Space India’ and Britain’s ‘One Web’.
• It is 43.5 meters tall and weighs 640 tons.
• One of the world’s leading telecommunication companies, OneWeb, will deploy these satellites for telecommunication services for government, commercial and educational applications.
• India’s Bharti Telecom is a major shareholder and investor in OneWeb.

3. INS Arihant

• India’s nuclear powered submarine INS Arihant has successfully launched a ballistic missile from under the sea.
• These tests were carried out in the Bay of Bengal and the air-launched missile accurately hit the target.

4. Jio tops in 5G speed

• Reliance Jio tops India’s fifth-generation communication technology 5G download speed, according to internet speed testing firm Oogla.
• Tested the speed of 5G internet connectivity in the country through ‘Speed ​​Test Intelligence’ technology.
• Airtel’s 5G download speed was up to 197.98 Mbps in this test conducted in Delhi.
• Meanwhile the download speed of Jio 5G connection was up to 598.58 Mbps.
• Bharti Airtel has launched its 5G service in Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur and Varanasi.
