1. பொலிவுறு நகரம் திட்டம் முறைகேடு புகார்: விசாரணை அறிக்கை தாக்கல்
- கடந்த திமுக ஆட்சியில் பொலிவுறு நகர திட்டங்களை செயல்படுத்துவதில் எழுந்த முறைகேடு தொடர்பான புகார்கள் குறித்து விசாரித்த ஓய்வு பெற்ற ஐஏஎஸ் அதிகாரி பி.டபள்யு.சி.டேவிதார் தனது அறிக்கையை முதல்வர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் இடம் தாக்கல் செய்தார்.
- கடந்த 2015 ஆம் ஆண்டு மத்திய அரசு சார்பாக பொலிவுறு நகரத் திட்டம் (ஸ்மார்ட் சிட்டி) அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டது.
- இதன் அடிப்படையில் நாடு முழுவதும் நூறு நகரங்களை தேர்வு செய்து பொலிவுறு நகரங்களாக மாற்ற திட்டமிடப்பட்டது.
- முதல் கட்டமாக தமிழகத்தில் 11 நகரங்கள் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டன.
- அதற்கான அரசு உத்தரவும் பிறப்பிக்கப்பட்டது.
2. காசநோய் இல்லா தமிழகம் 2025
- தமிழகத்தில் 2025 ஆம் ஆண்டுக்குள் காசநோயை ஒழிக்க நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்பட உள்ளதாக மக்கள் நல்வாழ்வுத் துறை அமைச்சர் மா.சுப்பிரமணியன் தெரிவித்தார்.
- சென்னையில் நடைபெற்ற தேசிய காசநோய் ஆராய்ச்சி நிறுவனத்தின் 65 ஆவது ஆண்டு விழாவில் காசநோய் தடுப்பு நடவடிக்கைகள் குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வு குறுந்தகட்டை அமைச்சர் மா.சுப்பிரமணியன் வெளியிட்டார்.

1. உலக வர்த்தக சந்தையில் இரண்டாவது இடம் வாழை ஏற்றுமதி
- உலக சந்தையில் பழங்களுக்கான வர்த்தகத்தில் வாழை இரண்டாவது இடம் பிடித்திருப்பதால் வாழை ஏற்றுமதியை அதிகரிக்க வேண்டும் என ஆந்திர மாநில சிறப்பு தலைமைச் செயலர் பூனம் மனக்கொண்டையா தெரிவித்தார்.
- திருச்சி மாவட்டம் தாயனூரில் இந்திய வேளாண் ஆராய்ச்சி கவுன்சிலின் (ஐசிஏ.ஆர்) தேசிய வாழை ஆராய்ச்சி மையம் அமைந்துள்ளது.
- இந்த மையத்தின் 29 வது ஆண்டு நிறுவன நாள் விழா மற்றும் விவசாயிகள் தின விழா நடைபெற்றது.

1. யூ–20 உலக மல்யுத்தம்: அன்டிம் பங்கால் அசத்தல் சாதனை
- பல்கேரியாவில் நடைபெற்ற 20 வயதுக்கு உள்பட்டோருக்கான உலக மல்யுத்தம் சாம்பியன்ஷிப்பில் இந்தியாவின் அன்டிம் பங்கால் தங்கப்பதக்கம் வென்றார்.
- இதன்மூலம் இப்போட்டியில் தங்கம் வென்ற முதல் இந்திய வீராங்கனை என்ற சாதனையை அவர் படைத்தார்.
- இந்தியா இரண்டாம் இடம்:
- இப்போட்டியில் இந்திய அணி மொத்தமாக 1 தங்கம் 3 வெள்ளி 3 வெண்கலம் என 7 பதக்கங்களுடன் 160 புள்ளிகளோடு இரண்டாம் இடம் பிடித்தது.
2. சர்வதேச பாரா பாட்மிண்டன் இந்தியாவுக்கு 17 பதக்கங்கள்
- தாய்லாந்தில் நடைபெற்ற சர்வதேச பாரா பாட்மண்டன் போட்டியில் இந்தியா 4 தங்கம், 5 வெள்ளி, 8 வெண்கலம் என 17 பதக்கங்கள் வென்றது.

1. Polivuru City Project Irregularity Complaint: Filing of Investigation Report
- Retired IAS officer PWCC Davidar, who investigated the complaints regarding the implementation of city projects in Bolivuru during the previous DMK regime, submitted his report to Chief Minister M.K.Stalin.
- In the year 2015, Polivuru City Project (Smart City) was introduced on behalf of the Central Government.
- Based on this, it was planned to select one hundred cities across the country and convert them into Polivuru cities.
- In the first phase, 11 cities were selected in Tamil Nadu.
- A government order was also issued to that effect.
2. Tuberculosis free Tamil Nadu 2025
- Minister of People’s Welfare M. Subramanian said that measures are to be taken to eliminate tuberculosis in Tamil Nadu by 2025.
- At the 65th anniversary function of the National Tuberculosis Research Institute held in Chennai, Minister M. Subramanian released an awareness CD on TB prevention measures.

- Special Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh Poonam Manakondaiah said that since banana is the second most traded fruit in the world market, the export of banana should be increased.

1. U-20 World Wrestling: Amazing feat by Antim Bangal
- India’s Antim Pankal won the gold medal at the Under-20 World Wrestling Championship in Bulgaria.
