மாநில செய்திகள்
1. தமிழ் மொழி திறனாய்வு தேர்வு
- மாதந்தோறும் ரூபாய் 1500 ஊக்கத்தொகை வழங்கும் பிளஸ் 1 மாணவர்களுக்காக தமிழ் மொழி திறனாய்வு தேர்வு நடத்தப்பட உள்ளது.
- தமிழகத்தில் அரசு அங்கீகாரம் பெற்ற அனைத்து வகை பள்ளிகளிலும் (சிபிஎஸ்சி ஐசிஎஸ்இ உள்பட) பிளஸ்-1 வகுப்பில் பயிலும் மாணவர்களுக்கு நிகழ் கல்வி ஆண்டு முதல் தமிழ் மொழி இலக்கிய திறனாய்வு தேர்வு நடத்தப்பட உள்ளது.
- இந்த தேர்வு 1500 மாணவர்கள் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டு அவர்களுக்கு பள்ளிக்கல்வித்துறை மூலம் மாதந்தோறும் ரூபாய் 1500 வீதம் இரண்டு ஆண்டுகளுக்கு ஊக்கத்தொகை வழங்கப்படும்.
- இந்த தேர்வில் 50% அரசு பள்ளி மாணவர்களுக்கும்மீதமுள்ள 50% அரசு பள்ளி உள்ளிட்ட பிற தனியார் பள்ளி மாணவர்களுக்கும் பொதுவான போட்டியில் தேர்வு செய்யப்படுவர்.
2. நூலக செயலி அறிமுகம்
- தமிழ் பள்ளி கல்வித்துறை சார்பில் அனைத்து பள்ளிகளிலும் வாசிப்பு இயக்கம் தொடங்கப்பட்டு நூலக செயலி அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- ஒவ்வொரு பள்ளியில் உள்ள மாணவர்கள் 6-8 வகுப்பு , 9-10வகுப்பு, 11 – 12 வகுப்பு என மூன்று பிரிவுகளாக பிரிக்கப்பட வேண்டும்.
- ஒவ்வொரு மாவட்டத்துக்கும் மூன்று பேர் என்கிற வகையில் 114 பேர் சென்னை அண்ணா நூற்றாண்டு நூலகத்தில் நடைபெறும் முகாமில் பங்கேற்பார்கள் தலைசிறந்த பேச்சாளர்கள் மற்றும் எழுத்தாளர்களைக் கொண்டு அமர்வுகள் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்படும்.
- முகாமில் பங்கேற்பவர்கள் இடையே நடைபெறும் போட்டியில் வெல்வோர் ‘அறிவுப்பயணம்’ என்கிற பெயரில் வெளிநாட்டு சுற்றுலாவுக்கு செல்ல வாய்ப்பு அளிக்கப்படும்.
- மின் உலகத்தை ‘www.tamilnadupubliclibraries.org’ என்ற இணையதள வழியாக பயன்படுத்தலாம்.
- இவை தவிர ‘TNSED Schools’ என்ற செயலில் மூலம் அனைத்து விவரங்களையும் பெறலாம்.
3. புதிய துணைவேந்தர்கள்
- மனோன்மணியம்சுந்தரனார் பல்கலைக்கழகம் உள்ளிட்ட மூன்று பல்கலைக்கழகங்களுக்கு துணைவேந்தர்களை நியமித்து, ஆளுநரும், பல்கலைக்கழகங்களின் வேந்தருமான ஆர்.என்.ரவி உத்தரவு பிறப்பித்தார்.
- என்.சந்திரசேகர் – மனோன்மணியம்சுந்தரனார் பல்கலைக்கழகம்
- ஜி.ரவி – அழகப்பா பல்கலைக்கழகம்

மத்திய செய்திகள்
1. வாடகை கார் முன்பதிவுசெயலி
- கேரள மாநில அரசு சார்பில் வாடகை கார் முன்பதிவு செயலி அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- கேரளா சவாரி என்ற இந்த செயலி வழி முன்பதிவு சேவையை மாநில முதல்வர் பினராயி விஜயன் திருவனந்தபுரத்தில் தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.
- நாட்டிலேயே முதன்முறையாக கேரள அரசு சார்பில் இந்த முயற்சி எடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- ஓலா, உபேர் போன்ற வாடகை கார் முன்பதிவுசெயலிகளுக்குப் போட்டியாக அரசு இதனை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
- கார் மட்டுமல்லாது ஆட்டோவையும் இந்த செயலி மூலம் முன்பதிவு செய்ய முடியும்.
2. குறுகிய கால விவசாயகடன்களுக்கும் 1.5% வட்டி மானியம்
- ரூபாய் 3 லட்சம் வரையிலான குறுகிய கால விவசாய கடன்களுக்காக வங்கிகளுக்கு 1.5 சதவீதம் வட்டி மானியம் அளிக்க மத்திய அமைச்சரவை ஒப்புதல் அளித்துள்ளது.
- வங்கி வட்டி விகிதத்தை ரிசர்வ் வங்கி அண்மையில் உயர்த்தியது.
- இதன் காரணமாக விவசாயிகளிடம் வசூலிக்கப்படும் வட்டியை வங்கிகள் அதிகரிக்காமல் தடுப்பதற்காக இந்த நடவடிக்கையை மத்திய அரசு மேற்கொண்டுள்ளது.

1. Tamil Language Aptitude Test
- Tamil Language Competency Test is going to be conducted for Eleventh class students who will get Rs 1500 monthly incentive.
- Tamil Language Literary Aptitude Test will be conducted from the current academic year for the students of Eleventh class in all types of government recognized schools (including CBSC ICSE) in Tamil Nadu.
- 1500 students will be selected for this examination and they will be given an incentive of Rs 1500 per month for two years by the School Education Department.
- In this examination 50% students of government schools and remaining 50% students of other private schools including government schools will be selected in common competition.
2. Introduction to Library App
- On behalf of the Tamil School Education Department, a reading movement has been started in all schools and a library app has been introduced.
- Students in each school should be divided into three groups namely 6-8 class, 9-10 class and 11-12 class.
- 114 people three from each district will participate in the camp to be held at Anna Centenary Library, Chennai. Sessions will be organized with eminent speakers and writers.
- Winners of the competition held among the participants of the camp will be given the opportunity to go on a foreign tour in the name of ‘Arivu payanam’.

3. New Vice-Chancellors
- Governor and Chancellor of Universities RN Ravi issued an order appointing Vice-Chancellors to three universities including Manonmaniamsundharanar University.

1. Rental car booking engine
- Kerala state government has launched a car rental booking app.
- This app booking service called Kerala Savari was launched by the state Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in Thiruvananthapuram.
- For the first time in the country, this initiative has been taken by the Kerala government.
- The government has introduced it to compete with rental car booking operators like Ola and Uber.
- Not only car but also auto can be booked through this app.
2. 1.5% interest subsidy on short term agricultural loans also
- The Union Cabinet has approved 1.5 percent interest subsidy to banks for short-term agricultural loans up to Rs 3 lakh.
- RBI has recently hiked the bank interest rate.
- Due to this, the central government has taken this step to prevent the banks from increasing the interest charged to the farmers.
