- தேச துரோக சட்டம் மறு ஆய்வு செய்யப்படும் என்று உச்ச நீதிமன்றத்தில் மத்திய அரசு தெரிவித்துள்ளது. ஆகையால் இந்த விவகாரத்தில் உச்ச நீதிமன்றம் நேரத்தை செலவழிக்க வேண்டாம் என்று உச்ச நீதிமன்ற தலைமை நீதிபதி என்.வி.ரமணா தலைமையிலான அமர்வை மத்திய அரசு கேட்டுக்கொண்டுள்ளது.

- தமிழகத்தில் 4200 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னரே இரும்பின் பயன்பாடு இருந்ததை கிருஷ்ணகிரி மாவட்டம் மயிலாடும்பாறை ஆய்வுகள் விளக்குவதாக முதல்வர் ஸ்டாலின் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
(குறிப்பு: மயிலாடும்பாறை ஆய்வு – தமிழ்நாடு தொல்லியல் துறையால் கிருஷ்ணகிரி மாவட்டம் மயிலாடும்பாறை என்ற இடத்தில் ஈமச்சின்னங்கள், வாழ்விடப்பகுதிகளில் ஆய்வுகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டது. பாறை ஓவியங்கள், புதிய கற்கால கருவிகள் என அரியவகை தொல்லியல் அடையாளங்களை கொண்டது மயிலாடும்பாறை. இங்கு சேகரிக்கப்பட்ட அடையாளங்களை அதிகாரிகள் ஆய்வுக்குட்படுத்தினர். இதில் தமிழகத்தில் 4200 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னரே இரும்பின் பயன்பாடு இருந்ததை உறுதி செய்துள்ளனர்)
- கீழடிக்கு அருகில் இருக்கும் அகழ்வாய்வுத்தளத்தில் சேகரிக்கப்பட்ட மண் மாதிரிகளை பகுப்பாய்வு செய்ததில் அங்கு நெற்பயிர்களை பயிரிட்டதற்கான சான்றுகள் கிடைத்துள்ளது. சிவகளை பகுதியில் சேகரிக்கப்பட்ட மண் மாதிரிகளை ஆய்வு செய்ததில், அங்கு நீர் செல்லும் செங்கல் வடிகாலில் நன்னீர் சென்றுள்ளதும், தேக்கி வைக்கப்பட்ட நீர் நிலையில் இருந்து இந்த நீர் கொண்டு வரப்பட்டதும் ஆய்வில் தெரியவந்துள்ளது

- The central government has told the Supreme Court that the treason law will be reviewed. The Central Government has therefore asked the bench headed by Chief Justice of the Supreme Court NV Ramana not to spend time with the Supreme Court in this matter.
(Note: The five-judge Supreme Court Constitutional Court ruled in Kedarnath Singh’s case in 1962 that the treason law was valid)

(Note:Mayilaadumpaarai – Archaeological Survey of Tamil Nadu has carried out excavations at Mayiladuthurai in Krishnagiri district. Mayilaadumpaarai has rare archeological symbols such as rock paintings and Neolithic tools. Authorities examined the identities collected here.
