- தேச துரோக சட்டத்தின் கீழ் வழக்குகள் பதிய இடைக்கால தடை விதித்து உச்ச நீதிமன்றம் உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது.
* ஆங்கிலேயர் ஆட்சி காலத்தில் கொண்டு வரப்பட்ட தேச துரோக சட்டப்பிரிவை மாரு ஆய்வு செய்ய உள்ளதாக மத்திய அரசு தெரிவித்ததையடுத்து இந்த உத்தரவு பிறப்பிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
* முன்னதாக தேச துரோக வழக்கு செல்லுபடியாகும் என கேதார்நாத் சிங் வழக்கில் 5 நீதிபதிகள் கொண்ட சாசன அமர்வு 1962-ம் ஆண்டு தீர்ப்பளித்தது. இந்த தீர்ப்பை மாரு சீராய்வு செய்யக்கோரி உச்ச நீதிமன்றத்தில் வழக்கு தொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
* 124ஏ சட்டப்பிரிவு மாரு ஆய்வு செய்யப்படும் வரை தேச துரோக சட்டப்பிரிவின் கீழ் புதிதாக முதல் தகவல் அறிக்கை பதிவு செய்யவும், விசாரணையை தொடரவும், கடுமையான நடவடிக்கைகளை எடுக்கவும் மத்திய அரசுக்கு தடை விதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது
* இந்த சட்டப்பிரிவின் கீழ் நிலுவையில் உள்ள விசாரணைகள், மேல்முறையீடு மற்றும் வழக்குகள் அனைத்தும் தற்காலிகமாக நிறுத்தி வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது
- ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் தேசிய அளவில் சிறப்பாக செயல்படும் ஊராட்சிகளுக்கு மத்திய ஊரக வளர்ச்சி மற்றும் ஊராட்சி துறை சார்பில் விருதுகள் வழங்கப்படுகிறது. அவற்றில்,

* குழந்தைகள் நேய கிராம ஊராட்சிக்கான விருது நீலகிரி மாவட்ட குஞ்சப்பனை கிராம ஊராட்சிக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது

- The Supreme Court has ordered an interim injunction to file cases under the Treason Act.
* The order was issued after the Central Government said that Maru was to study the treason law introduced during the British rule.
* The five-judge Constitutional Court in 1962 ruled that the earlier treason case was valid in the case of Kedarnath Singh. A case has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking revision of the judgment.
* Section 124A prohibits the Central Government from registering a new First Information Report, continuing an investigation and taking drastic action under the Sedition Act until Maru is examined.
* All pending hearings, appeals and cases under this Act are suspended
- Each year, the Central Rural Development and Panchayat Department presents awards to the best performing panchayats nationally. Among them,
* Award for strengthening three tier panchayats has been given to Thiruvannamalai district panchayat
* Panchayat Union Award has been given to Mannachanallur Panchayat Union of Trichy District and Ramanathapuram District Mandapam Panchayat Union
