- இலங்கையில் உள்ள சம்பூரில் இந்தியா உதவியுடன் 100 மெகாவாட் சூரிய சக்தி மின் நிலையம் அமைக்க ஒப்பந்தம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது

- Karur District Collector D. Prabhusankar (1st place) Coimbatore District Collector Sameeran (2nd place) and Thoothukudi District Collector K. Senthilraj (3rd place) were awarded for the best District Skills Plan and Implementation.
- Ramanathapuram District Collector Sankar Lal (first place), Kanyakumari District Collector M Aravind (second place) won the award for the best implementation of welfare schemes for the Department of Medicine and Public Welfare.
- The first prize was awarded to Thiruvannamalai district, the second prize to Theni district and the third prize to Namakkal district for their outstanding implementation of various projects related to rural development and panchayat.
- Nilgiris District Collector J Innocent Divya and Sivagangai District Collector P Madhusoodanan were awarded for their outstanding work for the alternatively abled.
- Kovalam Beach has been awarded the Blue Flag Certificate for cleanliness, hygiene and safe maintenance. Chief Minister MK Stalin presented it to Chengalpattu District Collector Rahul Nath.
- An agreement has been reached to set up a 100 MW solar power plant at Sampur in Sri Lanka with the assistance of India
