 1. எய்ட்ஸ் விழிப்புணர்வில் தமிழகம் முதலிடம்

• தமிழகத்தில் எய்ட்ஸ் நோயால் 1.24 லட்சம் பேர் பாதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.
• இருப்பினும் விழிப்புணர்வு ஏற்படுத்தும் மாநிலங்களில் தமிழகம் முதலிடத்தில்
• உள்ளது என்று மக்கள் நல்வாழ்வு துறை அமைச்சர் மா.சுப்பிரமணியன் தெரிவித்தார்.
• உலக அளவில் 4 கோடி பேரும், இந்தியாவில், 24 லட்சம் பேரும் (0.24 சதவீதம்) எய்ட்ஸ் நோயால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.
• தமிழகத்தில் 1.24 லட்சம் (0.18 சதவீதம்) பாதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர். எய்ட்ஸ் பாதித்தவர்களுக்கான அறக்கட்டளையில் வைக்கப்பட்ட ரூ.5 கோடி வைப்புநிதி இப்போது ரூ. 25 கோடியாக உயர்ந்துள்ளது.
• அதில் வரும் வட்டித் தொகையில் (ரூ.1.04 கோடி) எய்ட்ஸ் நோயால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களுக்கும், குழந்தைகளுக்கும் கல்வி, ஊட்டச்சத்துக்குத் தேவையான உதவிகள் செய்யப்பட்டு வருகின்றன.
• தமிழகத்தில் எய்ட்ஸ் நோயைக் கண்டறிய 2,090 பரிசோதனை மையங்கள் செயல்பட்டு வருகின்றன.
• ரத்த தானம் செய்வதில் மேற்கு வங்கம், தமிழகம் சிறப்பாகச் செயல்படுகிறது. அதேபோல், எய்ட்ஸ் நோய் குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வு ஏற்படுத்துவதிலும், தமிழகம் முதலிடத்தை பிடித்துள்ளது என்றார் மக்கள் நல்வாழ்வு துறை அமைச்சர் மா.சுப்பிரமணியன்

 2. ஸ்பிக் பாரத் யூரியா விற்பனை தொடக்கம்

• ஒரே நாடு ஒரே உரம் திட்டத்தில் நாட்டிலேயே முதலாவதாக தூத்துக்குடி ஸ்பிக் நிறுவனத்தின் தயாரிப்பான பாரத் யூரியா விற்பனைக்கு அனுப்பி வைக்கப்பட்டது.
• ஒரே நாடு ஒரே உரம் என்ற திட்டத்தில், தற்போது பாரத் யூரியா விநியோகம் தொடங்கியுள்ளது.
• நாட்டிலேயே முதலாவதாக இத்திட்டத்தில் ஸ்பிக் நிறுவனம் யூரியா உரத்தை விற்பனைக்குக் கொண்டு வந்திருப்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
• முதல்கட்டமாக கிருஷ்ணகிரி, திண்டுக்கல், விழுப்புரம், புதுக்கோட்டை ஆகிய 4 மாவட்டங்களுக்கு விநியோகம் தொடங்கியுள்ளது. ஸ்பிக் ஆலையில் தினமும் 2 ஆயிரம் டன் உற்பத்தி நடைபெறுகிறது.
• ஆண்டிற்கு 7 லட்சத்து 50 ஆயிரம் டன் உற்பத்தி செய்ய இலக்கு நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது

 1. ஐ.நா. பாதுகாப்பு கவுன்சில் தலைமைப் பொறுப்பில் மீண்டும் இந்தியா.

• ஐ.நா. பாதுகாப்பு கவுன்சிலின் தலைமைப் பொறுப்பை இந்தியா மீண்டும் ஏற்றுள்ளது.
• ஐ.நா. பாதுகாப்பு கவுன்சிலில் அமெரிக்கா, சீனா, ரஷியா, பிரிட்டன், பிரான்ஸ் ஆகிய நாடுகள் நிரந்தர உறுப்பினர்களாக உள்ளன.
• 10 நாடுகள் சுழற்சி முறையில் நிரந்தர மற்ற உறுப்பு நாடுகளாக இரு ஆண்டுகளுக்குத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்படுகின்றன.
• ஐ.நா. பாதுகாப்பு கவுன்சிலின் தலைமைப் பொறுப்பை உறுப்பு நாடுகள் சுழற்சி முறையில் வகித்து வருகின்றன.
• அதன்படி டிசம்பருக்கான தலைமைப் பொறுப்பை இந்தியா ஏற்றது. ஏற்கெனவே கடந்த ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்டில் கவுன்சிலின் தலைமைப்பொறுப்பை இந்தியா ஏற்றிருந்தது.

பொருளாதார செய்திகள்

 1. நவம்பரில் ஜிஎஸ்டி வசூல் ரூ.1.46 லட்சம் கோடி

• நவம்பரில் சரக்கு-சேவை வரி (ஜிஎஸ்டி) ரூ.1.46 லட்சம் கோடி வசூலானதாக மத்திய நிதியமைச்சகம் 11% அதிகரிப்பு தெரிவித்தது.
• முந்தைய ஆண்டின் இதே மாதத்துடன் ஒப்பிடுகையில் இப்போது 11 சதவீதம் அதிக ஜிஎஸ்டி வருவாய் கிடைத்துள்ளது.
• நாட்டில் ஜிஎஸ்டி வசூல் தொடர்ந்து 9- ஆவது மாதமாக ரூ.1.40 லட்சம் கோடியைத் தாண்டியுள்ளது.
• இதுகுறித்து நிதியமைச்சகம் வெளியிட்ட அறிக்கையில், நவம்பரில் மொத்த ஜிஎஸ்டி வருவாய் ரூ.145,867 கோடியாகும்.
• இதில் மத்திய ஜிஎஸ்டி ரூ.25,681 கோடி, மாநில ஜிஎஸ்டி ரூ.32,867 கோடி, ஒருங்கிணைந்த ஜிஎஸ்டி ரூ.77,103 கோடி (சரக்குகள் இறக்குமதி மூலம் வசூலான ரூ.38,635 கோடி உள்பட), செஸ் வரி ரூ.10,433 கோடி ( சரக்குகள் இறக்குமதி மூலம் வசூலான ரூ.817 கோடி உள்பட) ஆகும்.
• முந்தைய ஆண்டின் இதே மாதத்தில் ரூ.1,31,526 கோடி ஜிஎஸ்டி வருவாய் கிடைத்திருந்த நிலையில், இப்போது 11 சதவீதம் அதிக ஜிஎஸ்டி வசூலாகியுள்ளது.

நியமனம்

 1. தமிழக முதன்மை கணக்காய்வுத் தலைவராக சி. நெடுஞ்செழியன் பொறுப்பேற்பு

• மத்திய அமைச்சகம் மற்றும் மாநிலத்துறைகளில் மீதான தணிக்கையில் மிகுந்த அனுபவம் உடைய இவர், 1996-ஆம் ஆண்டு ஐ.ஏ.எஸ் அதிகாரியாக பணியை தொடர்ந்தார்.
• ஐக்கிய நாட்டு சபையின் எய்டஸ் மற்றும் புற்றுநோய் ஆராய்ச்சிக்கான நிறுவனத்திலும் நியூயார்க்கில் உள்ள ஐ.நா. தலைமையகத்திலும் தணிக்கை மேற்கொண்டுள்ளார்.
• மேலும் ஓமன் நாட்டின் உச்ச தணிக்கை அமைப்பின் தணிக்கை நிபுணராகவும் பணியாற்றியுள்ளார்.
• தற்போது தமிழகத்தின் 37 துறைகளில், 21 துறைகளை தணிக்கை செய்யும் மாநில தலைமை கணக்கு தணிக்கையாளர் (சிஏஜி) அமைப்புக்கு அவர் தலைமை வகிக்கிறார்.
• இந்த அமைப்பு மாநில அரசின், நிதி, வருவாய், சுகாதாரம், கல்வி, உள்ளாட்சி அமைப்புகள் மற்றும் பொதுத் துறை நிறுவனம் ஆகியவற்றைத் தணிக்கை செய்யும் பொறுப்பை மேற்கொள்கிறது.
• மேலும் பல தணிக்கை அறிக்கைகளை மாநில சட்டமன்றத்தில் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் தாக்கல் செய்கிறது.

விருது

1. தமிழக சிலைக் கடத்தல் தடுப்பு பிரிவில் எண்ம விருது அறிமுகம்

• தமிழக சிலைக் கடத்தல் தடுப்புப் பிரிவில் எண்ம (டிஜிட்டல்) விருது அறிமுகம் செய்யப்பட்டது. இந்த விருது முதல்முதலாக 15 சிலைகளை பறிமுதல் செய்த தனிப்படையினருக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது.
• நாட்டிலேயே முதல்முறையாக டிஜிட்டல் விருதுகளை தமிழக சிலைக் கடத்தல் தடுப்புப் பிரிவு அறிமுகம் செய்துள்ளது.
• எண்ம கரன்சி போல இந்த விருதுகள் அறிமுகம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளன.
• உலகில் துபை காவல் துறை இந்த விருதுகளை முதல்முறையாக அறிமுகம் செய்தது.

செயலி

1. டிஜியாத்ரா செயலி

• விமான நிலையங்களில் நுழைவு முதல் விமானங்களில் ஏறுவது வரை பயணிகளின் காத்திருப்பு நேரத்தைக் குறைக்கும் வகையில் எண்ம அடிப்படையிலான டிஜியாத்ரா என்ற முகத்தோற்றம் மூலம் அடையாளம் காணும் தொழில் நுட்பத்தை புது தில்லி, பெங்களூரு. வாராணசி ஆகிய மூன்று விமான நிலையங்களில் மத்திய அரசு அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
• துபை, சிங்கப்பூர், அட்லாண்டா உள்ளிட்ட சர்வேதச விமான நிலையங்களில் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டு வரும் முகத்தோற்றம் மூலம் அடையாளம் காணும் தொழில்நுட்பத்தால் பயணிகளின் காத்திருப்பு நேரம் குறைகிறது.
• பயன்பாட்டு முறை:
• இச்சேவையைப் பெற டிஜியாத்ரா செயலி வாயிலாக விமானப் பயணிகள் தங்களது தகவல்களை அளித்து ஆதார் அடிப்படையிலான சரிபார்ப்பின் மூலம் பதிவு செய்துகொள்ள வேண்டும்.
• விமானம் ஏறுவதற்கான அனுமதிச் சீட்டில் உள்ள அடையாள குறியீட்டை (பார் குறியீடு) அறிதிறன்பேசி மூலம் ஸ்கேன் செய்வதன் மூலம் தரவுகள் விமான நிலையத்துடன் பகிரப்படும்.
• விமான நிலையத்தின் இ-நுழைவுவாயிலில் பார் குறியீடு அச்சிடப்பட்ட விமானத்துக்கான அனுமதி சீட்டை முதலில் ஸ்கேன் செய்ய வேண்டும்.
• அதன் பிறகு, முகத்தோற்றம் மூலம் அடையாளம் காணும் தொழில்நுட்பம் பயணியின் அடையாளம் மற்றும் பயண ஆவணங்களைச் சரிபார்க்கும். இச்செயல்முறை முடிவடைந்தவுடன் பயணிகள் விமான நிலையத்துக்குள் செல்ல முடியும்.

மாநாடு

 1. 4 நாடுகள் பங்கேற்கும் முதல் கடலோரப் பாதுகாப்பு மாநாடு

• இந்தியா, மாலத்தீவு, இலங்கை, மோரீஷஸ் ஆகிய நாடுகளின் கடலோரக் காவல் படையினர் பங்கேற்கும் கடலோரப் பாதுகாப்பு குறித்த 2 நாள் மாநாட்டை பாதுகாப்பு அமைச்சகச் செயலாளர் கிரிதர் அரமனே சென்னையில் தொடக்கி வைத்தார்.
• இந்திய பெருங்கடலில் பாதுகாப்பை உறுதிப்படுத்தும் வகையில் கொழும்பு பாதுகாப்பு கூட்டமைப்பு 2011-ஆம் ஆண்டு தொடங்கப்பட்டது.
• இதில் தற்போது இந்தியா, இலங்கை, மாலத்தீவு, மோரீஷஸ் ஆகிய 4 நாடுகள் உறுப்பினர்களாக உள்ளன. வங்க தேசம் தற்போது பார்வையாளராக இணைந்துள்ளது.
• ‘இந்திய பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி 5 முக்கிய கருத்துகளை வலியுறுத்தி வருகிறார்.
• இதில் சட்டபூர்வமான கடல் வர்த்தகம், கடல்சார் மோதல்களை அமைதியான முறையில் தீர்த்து வைப்பது, இயற்கை பேரழிவுகள், கடல்சார் அச்சுறுத்தல்களைத் தணித்தல், கடல் சூழலைப் பாதுகாத்தல், நிலையான உள்கட்டமைப்பை உருவாக்குவதன் மூலம் கடல்சார் வர்த்தகத்தை அதிகரிப்பதற்கு இந்த மாநாடு உறுதுணையாக இருக்க வேண்டும்.

State news

  1. Tamil Nadu tops in AIDS awareness

• 1.24 lakh people are affected by AIDS in Tamil Nadu.
• However, Tamil Nadu is at the top among the states that create awareness
• Minister of People’s Welfare M. Subramanian said that there is.
• Globally 4 crore people and in India, 24 lakh people (0.24 percent) are infected with AIDS.
• 1.24 lakh (0.18 percent) affected in Tamil Nadu. A deposit of Rs 5 crore in a trust for AIDS victims is now Rs. 25 crores has gone up.
• Out of the interest amount (Rs. 1.04 Crores) is being provided for the education and nutrition of AIDS patients and children.
• 2,090 testing centers are functioning in Tamil Nadu to diagnose AIDS.
• West Bengal and Tamil Nadu are performing well in blood donation. Similarly, Tamil Nadu has taken the first place in creating awareness about AIDS, said Minister of People’s Welfare M. Subramanian.

   2. Launch of Spig Bharat Urea Sales

• Bharat Urea, a product of Thoothukudi Spic Company, was launched in the country under the One Nation One Fertilizer scheme.
• Under the One Nation One Fertilizer project, Bharat Urea has now started distribution.
• It is noteworthy that Spic company has brought urea fertilizer for sale for the first time in the country.
• In the first phase distribution has started to 4 districts namely Krishnagiri, Dindigul, Villupuram and Pudukottai. 2000 tons of production is done daily in Spic plant.
• The target has been set to produce 7 lakh 50 thousand tonnes per annum

  1. UN India again heads the Security Council.

• UN India has resumed the presidency of the Security Council.
• UN The United States, China, Russia, Britain and France are permanent members of the Security Council.
• 10 countries are elected as permanent other members for two years on a rotating basis.
• UN The presidency of the Security Council is held by member states on a rotating basis.
• Accordingly, India assumed the leadership for December. India had already assumed the presidency of the Council in August last year.

Economic News

  1. GST collection in November was Rs.1.46 lakh crore

• The Union Finance Ministry reported an 11% increase in goods and services tax (GST) collections of Rs 1.46 lakh crore in November.
• GST revenue is now 11 percent higher than the same month last year.
• GST collection in the country has crossed Rs 1.40 lakh crore for the 9th consecutive month.
• According to the statement released by the Finance Ministry, the total GST revenue in November was Rs.145,867 crore.
• Of this, Central GST is Rs.25,681 crore, State GST is Rs.32,867 crore, Integrated GST is Rs.77,103 crore (including Rs.38,635 crore collected from import of goods), Cess tax is Rs.10,433 crore (including Rs.817 crore collected from import of goods)
• Compared to Rs.1,31,526 crore GST revenue in the same month of the previous year, now the GST collection is 11 percent higher.

   1. Chief Auditor of Tamil Nadu C. Nedunchezhiyan Take responsibility

• He has extensive experience in audit of Central Ministries and State Departments and continued his career as an IAS officer in 1996.
• United Nations Agency for AIDS and Cancer Research and UN in New York. He also conducted an audit at the headquarters. He has also worked as an audit expert for the Supreme Audit Institution of Oman.
• At present he heads the State Auditor General (CAG) which audits 21 out of 37 departments in Tamil Nadu.
• This organization is responsible for auditing the State Government, Finance, Revenue, Health, Education, Local Bodies and Public Sector Undertakings.
• Also submits several audit reports to the state legislature every year.

  1. Introduction of the Digital Award in Tamil Nadu Anti-Smuggling of Idols

• Digital Award was introduced in Tamil Nadu Anti-Smuggling of Idols. The award was given to the individual who was the first to seize 15 idols.
• For the first time in the country, Tamil Nadu Idol Trafficking Prevention Unit has introduced digital awards.
• These awards have been introduced like the Digital currency.
• Dubai Police introduced these awards for the first time in the world.

Apps

   1. DigiYatra app

• DigiYatra, paperless entry will be allowed for passengers at airports. The passenger data can be processed automatically based on a facial recognition system at various checkpoints, including at security check areas.
• Besides Delhi, DigiYatra is also being launched in Bengaluru and Varanasi airports.
• Facial recognition technology being used in international airports including Dubai, Singapore and Atlanta reduces the waiting time of passengers.
• Mode of Use:
• To avail this service air passengers have to register through Aadhaar based verification by providing their details through Digiyatra app.
• The data is shared with the airport by scanning the identification code (bar code) on the boarding pass with the smartphone.
• First scan the boarding pass with the bar code printed on it at the e-gate of the airport.
• After that, the facial recognition technology will verify the passenger’s identity and travel documents. Once this process is completed, passengers can enter the airport.

  1. First Coastal Defense Conference with 4 countries participating

• Defense Ministry Secretary Krithar Aramane inaugurated a 2-day conference on Coastal Security in Chennai in which the Coast Guards of India, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Mauritius participated.
• The Colombo Defense Consortium was launched in 2011 to ensure security in the Indian Ocean.
• It currently has 4 member countries namely India, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Mauritius. Bangladesh has now joined as an observer.
• Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been emphasizing 5 main points.
• This convention should contribute to increasing maritime trade by promoting legal maritime trade, peaceful settlement of maritime disputes, mitigating natural disasters and maritime threats, protecting the marine environment and creating sustainable infrastructure.
• Discussions and exchange of views will be held on the theme of ‘Joint Efforts for Coastal Security’.
