 1. சென்னை விமான நிலையத்தில் மின் வாகனம் மின்னேற்றும் நிலையம்

• நாட்டிலேயே முதல் முறையாக சென்னை விமான நிலையத்தில் மின் வாகனம் மின்னேற்றும் நிலையம் தொடங்கி வைக்கப்பட்டது.
• இந்திய விமான நிலைய ஆணையம், சென்னை விமான நிலையம், இந்தியன் ஆயில் கார்ப்பரேஷன் நிறுவனம் இணைந்து சென்னை விமான நிலையத்தில் மின்சார வாகன மின்னேற்றும் நிலையத்தை அமைத்துள்ளன.
• சில்லறை விற்பனை நிலையங்களுக்கு வெளியே இந்தியன் ஆயில் கார்ப்பரேஷன் நிறுவனத்தால் திறத்து வைக்கப்பட்ட முதல் மின்வாகன மின்னேற்றும் நிலையம் இதுவாகும்.

 1. பிரிட்டனில் படிக்கும் வெளிநாட்டு மாணவர்கள்: சீனாவை விஞ்சிய இந்தியா

• பிரிட்டனில் உயர் கல்வி படிக்கும் வெளிநாட்டு மாணவர்களின் எண்ணிக்கையில் முதல்முறையாக சீனாவை இந்தியா விஞ்சியிருப்பது. அந்தநாட்டின் குடியேற்ற அலுவலக புள்ளிவிவரம் மூலமாக தெரியவந்துள்ளது.
• பிரிட்டனின் தேசிய புள்ளிவிவரத்துக்கான அலுவலகம் வெளியிட்ட இந்த தகவலில் மேலும் கூறியிருப்பதாவது
• பிரிட்டனின் வெளிநாட்டினருக்கு நுழைவு இசைவு (விசா) வழங்குவது கடந்த சில ஆண்டுகளில் 273 சதவீதமாக உயர்த்தப்பட்டிருப்பதன் மூலமாக, உயர்கல்வி படிக்க வரும் வெளிநாட்டு மாணவர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை பன்மடங்காக உயர்ந்துள்ளது.

• இது கடந்த 2019- ஆம் ஆண்டு டன் ஒப்பிடும்போது 237 சதவீதம் (93470 நுழைவு இசைவுகள்) கூடுதலாகும்.
• இதில் சீனா இரண்டாவது இடத்தில் உள்ளது. சீனர்களுக்கு 1,16,476 கல்வி நுழைவு இசைவுகள் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

 1. பாகிஸ்தான் ராணுவத்துக்கு புதிய தலைமைத் தளபதி

• பாகிஸ்தான் ராணுவத்தின் புதிய தலைமைத் தளபதியாக முன்னாள் ஐஎஸ்ஐ உளவுப் பிரிவு தலைவர் ஆசிம் முனீர் நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
• ஏற்கெனவே பாகிஸ்தான் ராணுவ உளவு அமைப்பின் தலைவராக இருந்த ஆசிம் முனீர், சக்திவாய்ந்த ஐஎஸ்ஐ உளவு அமைப்பின் தலைவராக கடந்த 2018-இல் நியமிக்கப்பட்டார்.
• எனினும், அப்போதைய பிரதமர் இம்ரான்கானின் வற்புறுத்தலின் பேரில் குறுகிய காலத்திலேயே அவர் அந்தப் பொறுப்பிலிருந்து நீக்கப்பட்டார்.
• பாகிஸ்தானின் தற்போதைய ராணுவ தலைமைத்தளபதி சுமர் ஜாவேத் பாஜ்வாவின் பதவிக் காலம் வரும் 29-ஆம் தேதி முடிவடைகிறது.

 2. மலேசிய பிரதமராக அன்வர் இப்ராஹிம் பதவியேற்பு

• மலேசியாவின் புதிய பிரதமராக முன்னாள் துணைப் பிரதமரும் எதிர்க்கட்சித் தலைவருமான அன்வர் இப்ராஹிம் பொறுப்பேற்றுக்கொண்டார்.
• அந்த நாட்டில் கடந்த 19-ஆம் தேதி தேர்தல் நடைபெற்றது. புதிய அரசை அமைப்பதற்கு நாடாளுமன்றத்தில் 112 இடங்கள் தேவை என்ற நிலையில், தேர்தலில் எந்தக் கூட்டணிக்கும் பெரும்பான்மை பலம் கிடைக்கவில்லை.
• அன்வர் இப்ராஹிம் தலைமையிலான ‘நம்பிக்கைக் கூட்டணி அதிகபட்சமாக 82 இடங்களைக் கைப்பற்றியிருந்தது. அதையடுத்து, அவரை ஆட்சியமைக்குமாறு மன்னர் அப்துல்லா அழைப்பு விடுத்தார்.

• இந்தியாவைச் சேர்ந்த குழந்தைகள் நலமருத்துவரான சௌமியா சுவாமிநாதன், கடந்த 2019-ஆம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் மாதம் உலக சுகாதார அமைப்பின் முதலாவது தலைமை விஞ்ஞானியாக நியமிக்கப்பட்டார்.

• மருத்துவ சிகிச்சை மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சித் துறையில் 30 ஆண்டுகள் அனுபவம் மிக்க இவர், காசநோய், ஹெச்ஐவி உள்ளிட்ட நோய்கள் குறித்து மேற்கொண்ட ஆராய்ச்சிகனால் உலகப் புகழ் பெற்றார்.

• ஸ்ரீஹரிகோட்டாவில் உள்ள சதீஷ்தவண் ஆராய்ச்சி மைய ஏவுதளத்திலிருந்து காலை 11.56 மணிக்கு அந்த ராக்கெட் செலுத்தப்படவிருக்கிறது.
• புவிக்கண்காணிப்புக்கான இஓஎஸ்-06 (ஓசோன்சாட்-3) என்ற நவீன செயற்கைக்கோள் அதில் பிரதானமாக இடம்பெற்றுள்ளது. இதை இஸ்ரோ வடிவமைத்துள்ளது.
• இதுதவிர, அமெரிக்காவின் ஆஸ்ட்ரோகாஸ்ட், இந்தியா பூடான் கூட்டுத் தயாரிப்பான ஐஎன்எஸ்-2பி, துருவா ஸ்பேஸ் நிறுவனத்தின் தைபோல்ட், பிச்சலின் ஆனந்த் உள்பட 8 நானோ செயற்கைக்கோள்களும் பிஎஸ்எல்வி சி-54 ராக்கெட் மூலம் வெவ்வேறு சுற்றுப்பாதைகளில் விண்ணில் நிலைநிறுத்தப்படவுள்ளன.

• முத்திரைக் கட்டணங்கள் மூலம் இந்திய மாநிலங்கள் ஈட்டிய ஒட்டுமொத்த வருவாய் நடப்பு நிதியாண்டின் முதலாவது அரையாண்டில் 35 சதவீதம் அதிகரித்துள்ளது.
• இது குறித்து மோதிலால் ஓஸ்வால் ஃபைனான்சியல் சர்வீசஸ் வெளியிட்டுள்ள அறிக்கையில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாவது:
• 2022-23-ஆம் நிதியாண்டின் முதல் பாதியில் இந்தியாவின் 27 மாநிலங்கள் மற்றும் ஜம்மு-காஷ்மீர் யூனியன் பிரதேசம் முத்திரை வரி மற்றும் பதிவுக் கட்டணங்கள் மூலம் ஒட்டு மொத்தமாக ரூ.94,800.47 கோடி வருவாய் ஈட்டியுள்ளன.
• கடந்த ஆண்டின் இதே மாதங்களில் மாநிலங்களின் ஆவணப் பதிவுக்கட்டண வருவாய் ரூ.70,100.20 கோடியாக இருந்தது. அதனுடன் ஒப்பிடுகையில் இந்த முறை வருவாய் 35 சதவீதம் அதிகரித்துள்ளது.
• மதிப்பீட்டு மாதங்களில் மாநிலங்களின் முத்திரைக் கட்டண மாதாந்திரசராசரி வருவாயும் ரூ.1500.07 கோடியாக உயர்ந்துள்ளது. இது கடந்த நிதியாண்டின் முதல் அரையாண்டில் ரூ.11,600.87 கோடியாக இருந்தது.

• கடந்த நிதியாண்டின் இதே காலகட்டத்தில் அந்த மாநிலத்தின் முத்திரைக் கட்டண வருவாய் ரூ.9,300 கோடியாக இருந்தது. அதனுடன் ஒப்பிடுகையில் தற்போதைய வருவாய் 33 சதவீதம் அதிகரித்துள்ளது.
• மதிப்பீட்டு மாதங்களில் ரூ.8,600.62 கோடி முத்திரைக் கட்டண வருவாயுடன் தமிழ்நாடு இந்தப்பட்டியலில் 3-ஆவது இடத்தில் உள்ளது. இது, ஒட்டு மொத்த இந்திய முத்திரைக் கட்டண வருவாயில் 9 சதவீதம் ஆகும்.
• கடந்த நிதியாண்டின் முதல் அரையாண்டில் தமிழ்நாடு ஈட்டிய ரூ.6,200 கோடி முத்திரைக் கட்டண வருவாயுடன் ஒப்பிடுகையில் இது 39 சதவீதம் அதிகமாகும்.
• கர்நாடகம் மற்றும் தெலங்கானா மாநிலங்கள் முறையே ரூ.8,200.29 கோடி மற்றும் ரூ.7,200.13 கோடியுடன் முத்திரைக் கட்டண வசூலில் நான்காவது மற்றும் ஐந்தாவது இடத்தில் உள்ளன.
• முத்திரைக் கட்டண வளர்ச்சி விகித்தைப் பொருத்தவரை, சிறிய அளவிலான வடகிழக்கு மாநிலங்கள் முன்னிலை வகிக்கின்றன.

  1. Electric Vehicle Charging Station at Chennai Airport

• For the first time in the country, an electric vehicle charging station was inaugurated at the Chennai airport.
• Airports Authority of India, Chennai Airport and Indian Oil Corporation have jointly set up an electric vehicle charging station at Chennai Airport.
• This is the first electric vehicle charging station opened by Indian Oil Corporation outside of retail outlets.
• Operated by mobile app or radio frequency identification card.

  1. Foreign students studying in Britain: India surpasses China

• India has overtaken China for the first time in the number of foreign students studying higher education in the UK. This is revealed through the immigration office statistics of that country.
• Britain’s Office for National Statistics has further stated in this information
• The number of foreign students coming to higher education has multiplied, with UK entry visas increased by 273 per cent in the past few years.
• In this, India continues to top the list of countries for entry consistency for skilled workers and entry consistency for medical personnel categories.
• Last year 56,042 entry passes were given to Indians in Skilled Worker category.
• Likewise, 36 percent of the total admissions granted in the category of medical professionals are given to Indians.
• Similarly, India currently stands at the top in terms of access to education.
• In the period up to September this year alone, 1,27,731 Indian students have been granted admission for higher education.
• This is an increase of 237 percent (93470 entry matches) compared to last year 2019 tonnes.

   1. New Chief of Staff for Pakistan Army

• Former ISI intelligence chief Asim Munir has been appointed as the new Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan.
• Asim Munir, who was already the head of Pakistan’s military intelligence, was appointed as the head of the powerful ISI intelligence in 2018.
• However, he was soon removed from the post at the insistence of then Prime Minister Imran Khan.
• Pakistan’s current Army Chief Sumar Javed Bajwa’s term ends on 29th.

   2. Inauguration of Anwar Ibrahim as Prime Minister of Malaysia

• Former Deputy Prime Minister and Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim took over as the new Prime Minister of Malaysia.
• Election was held in that country on 19th. With 112 seats needed in Parliament to form a new government, no coalition could secure a majority in the elections.
• Anwar Ibrahim-led Alliance of Hope had won maximum 82 seats. King Abdullah then invited him to rule.
• Anwar Ibrahim took charge as the 10th Prime Minister of the country.

  3. Soumya Swaminathan resigns

• The Chief Scientist of the World Health Organization, Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, is set to resign from the post on November 30.
• He said that he is going to engage in research again.
• Soumya Swaminathan, a pediatrician from India, was appointed as the first Chief Scientist of the World Health Organization in March 2019.
• He has 30 years of experience in the field of medical treatment and research and gained world fame for his research on diseases such as tuberculosis and HIV.
• Earlier, he served as Union Secretary for Medical Research and Director General of Indian Council of Medical Research (2015 to 2017).

Satellite

  1. PSLV C-54 will take off tomorrow

• Geospatial satellite, 8 small satellites are launched by PSLV C-54 rocket (Nov 26).
• The rocket is scheduled to be launched at 11.56 am from the Satishthavan Research Center launch pad in Sriharikota.
• It features a state-of-the-art geo-observation satellite called EOS-06 (Ozonesat-3). It is designed by ISRO.
• Apart from this, 8 nano-satellites including USA’s Astrocast, India-Bhutan joint venture INS-2B, Dhruva Space’s Thibold, Pichel’s Anand will be launched in different orbits by PSLV C-54 rocket.
• EOS-06 satellite weighs 1,117 kg. It is the 4th satellite to be launched in the Ozonesat series.
• Nature of sea, its surface. The satellite can continuously monitor and provide information on temperature, wind direction variations and optical changes in the atmosphere.
• Likewise, INS-2B satellite designed under India-Bhutan joint research will also be launched.
• ISRO scientists also said that it will probe the surface of Bhutan.

   1. 35% increase in stamp duty revenue of states

• The overall revenue earned by Indian states through stamp duties increased by 35 percent in the first half of the current fiscal year.
• A statement issued by Motilal Oswal Financial Services states:
• In the first half of the financial year 2022-23, India’s 27 states and the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir generated a total revenue of Rs 94,800.47 crore through stamp duty and registration fees.
• In the corresponding months of the previous year, the document registration fee revenue of the states was Rs.70,100.20 crore. Compared to that, the revenue this time has increased by 35 percent.
• The average monthly stamp duty revenue of the states during the assessment months also increased to Rs.1500.07 crore. It was Rs 11,600.87 crore in the first half of last fiscal.
• Mumbai is a city with high economic growth, high prices and number of houses.
• Therefore, Maharashtra, where the city is located, ranks first in terms of stamp duty revenue.
• The State generated stamp duty revenue of Rs.18,600 crore during the assessment months. It accounts for 20 percent of the country’s total stamp duty revenue. This is an increase of 65 percent compared to the corresponding months of the previous financial year.
• Uttar Pradesh ranks 2nd in stamp duty collection. The state earned Rs 12,300.94 crore in stamp duty revenue in the first half of the current fiscal. This is 13 percent of the country’s total stamp duty collection.
• The stamp duty revenue of the state was Rs 9,300 crore in the same period of last financial year. Compared to that, the current revenue has increased by 33 percent.
• Tamil Nadu ranks 3rd in this list with stamp duty revenue of Rs.8,600.62 crore during the assessment months. This is 9 percent of India’s total stamp duty revenue.
• This is 39 per cent higher than the Rs 6,200 crore stamp duty revenue that Tamil Nadu earned in the first half of last fiscal.
• Karnataka and Telangana states stand fourth and fifth in stamp duty collection with Rs8,200.29 crore and Rs 7,200.13 crore respectively.
• As far as stamp duty growth rate is concerned, the smaller North Eastern states lead the way.
• Out of which Mizoram has got 104 percent and Meghalaya 82 percent stamp duty revenue growth.
• The third state of Sikkim recorded a 70 percent stamp duty revenue growth.
