1. தமிழகத்தின் பாரம்பரிய நெல் ரகங்களை மீட்கும் முயற்சியில் ‘ஸ்ரீ‘

• கலாச்சார ரீதியாக வளமான அறிவு சார்ந்த இந்திய பாரம்பரிய பொருள்களை கண்டறிந்து மீட்க மத்திய அரசின் அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்பத்துறை, ‘அறிவியல் பாரம்பரிய ஆய்வு முன்முயற்சி திட்டம்‘ (ஸ்ரீ) மூலம் முனைந்து வருகிறது.
• இதன் அடிப்படையில் தமிழகத்தில் உள்ள பாரம்பரிய நெல் ரகங்கள் மீட்பதில் முயற்சி மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• பாரம்பரிய நெல் வகைகள் அறிவியல் பூர்வமாக ஆவணப்படுத்தி வைக்கப்படவில்லை.
• விதைகளையும் முறையாக சேமித்து வைக்கவில்லை. இந்த இரண்டையும் மீட்டெடுக்க தஞ்சையில் உள்ள சாஸ்திரா பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் வேதியல் மற்றும் உயிரி தொழில்நுட்பத் துறை முனைவர்கள் முயற்சிகளை தொடங்கினார்.
• இந்த விதைகள் குறித்து ஏழு ஆண்டுகளாக ஆய்வு நடத்தி சாஸ்திரா முனைவர்கள் ஆய்வறிக்கையை சமர்ப்பித்தனர்.
• இந்த ஆய்வுவோடு மத்திய அரசின் ‘ஸ்ரீ‘ திட்டமும் இவர்களது முயற்சிகளுக்கு உதவியது. தமிழகத்தில் கிட்டத்தட்ட 400 பாரம்பரிய நெல் ரகங்கள் இருந்துள்ளன.
• இந்த முயற்சிகளின் போது 100 ரகங்களை இவர்களால் அறிய முடிந்தது.
• 20 ரகங்களைக் கொண்டு 2019 இல் முதலில் தஞ்சை மாவட்டம் குருவாடி பட்டி கிராமத்தில் அன்புச்செல்வன் என்கிற விவசாயி வயலில் பயன்படுத்தி ஆராயப்பட்டது.
• 2020 ஆம் ஆண்டிலும் தொடர்ந்து பாரம்பரிய நெல்கள் பயிரிடப்பட்டபோது விவசாயிகளுக்கு வயல்வெளி பள்ளியை நடத்தினர்.
• இந்த பயிர்களை எப்படி கையாள வேண்டும் கண்காணிக்க வேண்டும் போன்றவை குறித்து பயிற்சி அளிக்கப்பட்டு அவர்களுடன் இந்த ரகங்களின் வளர்ச்சி அறுவடை வரையிலான அனுபவங்கள் பகிர்ந்து கொள்ளப்பட்டன.

மத்திய செய்திகள்

1. இத்தாலி பிரதமர் ஆனார் ஜியார்ஜியா

• இத்தாலியில் முதல் பெண் பிரதமராக தீவிர வலதுசாரி கொள்கையை கொண்ட ஜார்ஜியா மெலோனி பதவி ஏற்றார்.
• கடந்த மாதம் நடைபெற்ற பொதுத்தேர்தலில் அவரது கட்சி முன்னிலை பெற்றதை தொடர்ந்து அவர் தற்போது பதவியேற்று கொண்டுள்ளார்.

2. மூன்றாவது முறையாக பதவி நீட்டிப்பு பெறுகிறார் சீனா அதிபர் ஷி ஜின்பிங்

• சீன கம்யூனிஸ்ட் கட்சியின் சக்தி வாய்ந்த மத்திய குழுவுக்கு அதிபர் ஷி ஜின்பிங் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டதை தொடர்ந்து நாட்டில் அதிபராக அவர் மூன்றாவது முறையாக தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்படுவதற்கான வழிவகை செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• ஐந்து ஆண்டுகளுக்கு ஒருமுறை நடைபெறும் சீன கம்யூனிஸ்ட் கட்சியில் இருபதாவது கூட்டம் தலைநகர் பெய்ஜிங்கில் கடந்த வாரம் தொடங்கியது.
• மூன்றாவது முறையாக அதிபராக தொடர்வதற்கு இக்கூட்டத்தில் ஒப்புதல் அளிக்கப்படும் என்று அப்போது எதிர்பார்க்கப்பட்டது.
• ஏற்கனவே சீனாவின் அதிபராக ஜின்பிங் இரண்டாவது முறையாக பதவி வகித்து வருகிறார்.
• அவரது 10 ஆண்டு பதவிக்காலம் நிறைவு பெறும் நிலையில் மூன்றாவது முறையாக அவரது பதவி காலம் மேலும் ஐந்து ஆண்டுகளுக்கு நீட்டிக்கப்படுவதற்கு வழிவகைச் செய்யும் வகையில் கம்யூனிஸ்ட் கட்சியின் சக்தி வாய்ந்த மத்திய குழுவுக்கு அவர் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டார்.

3. இந்திய-அமெரிக்க சமூக ஆர்வலர் ஸ்வதேஷ் சட்டர்ஜிக்கு உயரிய விருது

• இந்திய-அமெரிக்க தொழில் அதிபரும், சமூக ஆர்வலருமான ஸ்வதேஷ் சட்டர்ஜிக்கு அமெரிக்காவில் உள்ள வடக்கு கரோலினா மாகாணத்தின் உயரிய விருது வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• கேரி நகரத்தில் நடைபெற்ற நிகழ்வில் ஆளுநர் ராய் கூப்பர் மாகாணத்தின் உயரிய விருதான ‘தி ஆர்டர் ஆஃப் லாங் லீஃப் பைன்‘ என்ற விருதினை ஸ்வதேஷ் சட்டர்ஜிக்கு வழங்கினார்.
• வடக்கு கரோலினா மாகாணம் மட்டுமல்லாமல் இந்திய-அமெரிக்க உறவுகளை மேம்படுத்துவதில் அவருடைய பங்களிப்பு குறித்து ஆளுநர் ராய் கூப்பர் பாராட்டினார்.
• கடந்த 2000-ல் அமெரிக்காவின் அப்போதைய அதிபர் பில் கிளிண்டனின் இந்திய பயணத்தின் போது இருநாட்டு உறவுகளுக்கு இடையே புதிய நம்பிக்கையையும் மாற்றத்தையும் கொண்டு வருவதில் முக்கிய பங்கு வகித்தவர்.
• மேலும் 2005 ஆம் ஆண்டில் ஏற்பட்ட இந்திய-அமெரிக்க அணுசக்தி ஒப்பந்தத்திலும் அவருடைய பங்கு குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
• இவருக்கு கடந்த 2001 இல் மத்திய அரசு பத்மபூஷண் விருது வழங்கி கௌரவித்தது.

4. மாநில அரசுகள் தொலைக்காட்சி ஒளிபரப்பு செயல்பாடுகளில் ஈடுபட வேண்டாம்: மத்திய அரசு

• மாநில மற்றும் யூனியன் பிரதேச அரசுகள் தொலைக்காட்சி ஒளிபரப்பு செயல்பாடுகளில் நேரடியாக ஈடுபட வேண்டாம் என்று மத்திய அரசு தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
• அந்த நடவடிக்கைகளில் மத்திய அமைச்சகங்களும் ஈடுபட வேண்டாம் என்று அறிவுறுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• இந்த அறிவுறுத்தலால் தமிழக அரசு நடத்திவரும் கல்வி தொலைக்காட்சிக்கு பாதிப்பு ஏற்பட வாய்ப்புள்ளதாக கருதப்படுகிறது.
• அஞ்சல், தந்தி, தொலைபேசி ஒளிபரப்பு உள்ளிட்டவை மத்திய பட்டியலில் உள்ளன.
• அவை தொடர்பாக சட்டம் இயற்ற அரசமைப்புச் சட்டப்பிரிவு 246 இன் படி மத்திய அரசுக்கு மட்டும்தான் அதிகாரம் உள்ளது.
• அதே வேலையில் மத்திய மாநில அரசுகள் அவற்றுடன் தொடர்புள்ள நிறுவனங்கள், அரசுகள் நிதி உதவி அளிக்கும் நிறுவனங்கள் உள்ளிட்டவை ஒளிபரப்பு சார்ந்த தொழிலில் கால் பதிக்க அனுமதிக்க கூடாது என்று கடந்த 2012 ஆம் ஆண்டு இந்திய தொலைத்தொடர்பு ஒழுங்காற்று ஆணையம் பரிந்துரைத்தது . 
• ஏற்கனவே ஒளிபரப்பு செயல்பாடுகளில் ஈடுபட்டு வரும் அரசுகள் தங்கள் நிகழ்ச்சிகளை பிரசார் பாரதி வாயிலாக ஒளிபரப்பலாம்.

5. ரோஜ்கர் மேளா

• ‘ரோஜ்கர் மேளா’ திட்டத்தின் கீழ் 250 பேருக்கு பணி நியமன ஆணைகளை மத்திய நிதியமைச்சர் நிர்மலா சீதாராமன் வழங்கினார்.
• மத்திய அரசின் அனைத்து துறைகள் மற்றும் அமைச்சகங்களில் அடுத்த ஒன்றரை ஆண்டில் 10 லட்சம் பேருக்கு பணி நியமனம் வழங்கப்படும்.
• ‘ரோஜ்கர் மேளா’ என்ற வேலைவாய்ப்பு திட்டத்தை பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி தொடக்கி வைத்தார்.

6. 10 லட்சம் பேருக்கு வேலை வழங்கும் திட்டம்

• மத்திய அமைச்சகங்கள் மற்றும் பல்வேறு துறைகளில் அடுத்த ஒன்றரை ஆண்டில் 10 லட்சம் பேரை பணியமனம் செய்யும் திட்டத்தை பிரதமர் மோடி காணொளி முறையில் தொடக்கி வைத்தார்.
• முதல் கட்டமாக நாடு முழுவதும் 75 ஆயிரத்திற்கும் மேற்பட்டோருக்கு பணி நியமன கடிதங்கள் வழங்கப்பட்டன.
• கடந்த எட்டு ஆண்டுகளில் அரசு துறைகளில் திறன்மிக்க செயல்பாடுகளினால் உலகின் பெரிய பொருளாதார நாடுகளில் பத்தாவது இடத்தில் இருந்து ஐந்தாம் இடத்திற்கு இந்தியா முன்னேறியுள்ளது.
• வளரும் தொழில் முனைவோருக்கு உதவும் ‘முத்ரா‘ திட்டத்தின் கீழ் கருணை காலகட்டத்தில் ரூபாய் 3 லட்சம் கோடிக்கும் அதிகமான கடன்கள் வழங்கப்பட்டன.
• இதனால் குறு, சிறு மற்றும் நடுத்தர தொழில் துறையில் சுமார் ஒன்றரை கோடி வேலை வாய்ப்புகள் பாதுகாக்கப்பட்டன.
• ‘திறன் இந்தியா‘ திட்டத்தின் கீழ் 1.25 கோடிக்கு அதிகமானோருக்கு பயிற்சி வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• காதி தொழிலில் நான்கு கோடி வேலைவாய்ப்பு:
• நாட்டில் முதல் முறையாக காதி மற்றும் கிராம தொழில்களின் மதிப்பு ரூபாய் 4 லட்சம் கோடி தாண்டி உள்ளது.
• காதி மற்றும் கிராம தொழில்களில் நான்கு கோடிக்கும் அதிகமான வேலை வாய்ப்புகள் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
• ‘புத்தாக்க இந்தியா‘ (ஸ்டார்ட் அப் இந்தியா) திட்டம் நமது இளைஞர்களின் திறனை வெளிக்கொணர்ந்துள்ளது.
• மகாத்மா காந்தி ஊரக வேலை உறுதி திட்டத்தின் மூலம் நாடு முழுவதும் 7 கோடி பேர் பலனடைந்து வருகின்றனர்.
• இந்த 21ஆம் நூற்றாண்டில் ‘இந்தியாவில் தயாரிப்போம்’ மற்றும் ‘தற்சார்பு இந்தியா‘ இரண்டும் தேசத்தின் மிகப்பெரிய லட்சிய திட்டங்கள் ஆகும்.
• பிரதமரின் வீட்டு வசதி திட்டத்தின் கீழ் 3.5 கோடி வீடுகள் கட்டப்பட்டுள்ளன.
• உள்கட்டமைப்பு துறையில் ரூபாய் 3 லட்சம் கோடி செலவிடுவது இந்தியாவின் இலக்காகும்.

7. வெற்றிகரமாக விண்ணில் பாய்ந்தது ஜிஎஸ்எல்வி ராக்கெட்

• பிரிட்டனின் 36 செயற்கை கோள்களுடன் இந்திய விண்வெளி ஆய்வு நிறுவனம் (இஸ்ரோ) சார்பில் செலுத்தப்பட்ட ஜிஎஸ்எல்வி எம்-3 ராக்கெட் வெற்றிகரமாக விண்ணில் பாய்ந்தது.
• ஆந்திர மாநிலம் ஸ்ரீஹரிகோட்டாவில் உள்ள சதீஷ் தவான் ராக்கெட் ஏவு தளத்தின் இரண்டாவது ஏவுதளத்தில் இருந்து அதிகாலை 12.07 மணிக்கு ராக்கெட் ஏவப்பட்டது.
• இஸ்ரோவின் ‘நியூ ஸ்பேஸ் இந்தியா‘ நிறுவனம் மற்றும் பிரிட்டனின் ‘ஒன் வெப்‘ நிறுவனம் இடையே மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தத்தின் அடிப்படையில் வணிக ரீதியில் செயல்படுத்தப்பட்ட இந்த ராக்கெட் வெற்றிகரமாக செலுத்தப்பட்டிருப்பது முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்ததாக பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.
• இந்த திட்டம் வெற்றி பெற்றதன் மூலமாக 5,796 கிலோ எடையை சுமந்து சென்ற இந்தியாவின் முதல் ராக்கெட் என்ற பெருமையையும் ஜிஎஸ்எல்வி எம்-3 ராக்கெட் பெற்றுள்ளது.
• இந்த ராக்கெட் 8000 கிலோ எடையிலான செயற்கைக்கோள்களை தூக்கிச் செல்லும் திறனுடையது.

1. ‘Sree’ in an effort to recover Tamil Nadu’s traditional rice varieties

• The Department of Science and Technology of the Central Government is endeavoring to identify and recover culturally rich knowledge-based Indian heritage through the ‘Scientific Heritage Research Initiative Scheme’ (SRI).
• Based on this, efforts have been made to recover traditional rice varieties in Tamil Nadu.
• Traditional rice varieties are not scientifically documented.
• Seeds are also not stored properly. Doctoral efforts have been initiated by the Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology of Shastra University, Tanjore to recover these two.
• After seven years of research on these seeds, Shastra doctors submitted their thesis.
• Along with this study, the central government’s ‘Sree’ program also helped their efforts. There are nearly 400 traditional rice varieties in Tamil Nadu.
• During these attempts they were able to identify 100 species.
• In 2019, 20 varieties were first tested in the field of a farmer named Anbuchelvan in Guruvadi Patti village of Tanjore district.
• In 2020 also conducted field school for farmers when traditional paddy was cultivated.
• Training was given on how to handle and monitor these crops and the experiences of growth and harvesting of these varieties were shared with them.

2. Chinese President Xi gets extension for the third time Xi Jinping

• The election of President Xi Jinping to the powerful Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has paved the way for his third term as the country’s president.
• The 20th Congress of the Communist Party of China, held every five years, began last week in the capital Beijing.
• It was then expected that the meeting would give approval for him to continue as President for a third term.
• Already, Xi Jinping is serving his second term as the President of China.
• He was elected to the Communist Party’s powerful Central Committee for a third term as his 10-year term came to an end, paving the way for an extension of another five years.

3. Indian-American social activist Swadesh Chatterjee received the highest award

• Indian-American entrepreneur and social activist Swadesh Chatterjee has been conferred with the highest award of the state of North Carolina, USA.
• Governor Roy Cooper presented Swadesh Chatterjee with the province’s highest award, ‘The Order of Long Leaf Pine’, at a ceremony in Cary.
• Governor Roy Cooper praised her for her contribution to improving Indo-US relations, not just the state of North Carolina.
• He played an important role in bringing new hope and change between the bilateral relations during the visit of the then US President Bill Clinton to India in 2000.
• Also his role in Indo-US nuclear deal in 2005 is significant.
• He was honored with the Padma Bhushan Award by the Central Government in 2001.

4. State Governments to engage in television broadcasting activities Don’t: Central Govt

• State and Union Territory Governments should not be directly involved in television broadcasting activities, the Central Government has said.
• Central Ministries have also been advised not to get involved in those activities.
• It is considered that this instruction is likely to affect the educational television run by the Tamil Nadu government.
• Post, telegraph, telephonic broadcasting etc. are included in the central list.
• According to Article 246 of the Constitution only the Central Government has the power to enact laws in this regard.
• In the same work, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India recommended in the year 2012 that companies related to the Central and State Governments, including companies that receive financial assistance from the Government, should not be allowed to set foot in the broadcasting industry.
• Governments which are already engaged in broadcasting activities can telecast their programs through Prasar Bharati.

5. Rojkar Mela

• Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman issued job orders to 250 people under the ‘Rojkar Mela’ scheme.
• In the next one and a half years, 10 lakh people will be appointed in all departments and ministries of the central government.
• Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the employment scheme ‘Rojkar Mela’.

6. Project to provide employment to 10 lakh people

• Prime Minister Modi launched a video program to hire 10 lakh people in central ministries and various departments in the next one and a half years.
• In the first phase more than 75 thousand job appointment letters were issued across the country.
• In the last eight years India has moved up from the tenth position to the fifth position among the world’s largest economies due to the efficient functioning of the public sector.
• More than Rs 3 lakh crore loans were disbursed during the grace period under the ‘MUDRA’ scheme to help budding entrepreneurs.
• Thus around one and a half crore jobs were secured in the micro, small and medium sector.
• More than 1.25 crore people have been trained under ‘Skill India’ programme.
• Four Crore Employment in Khadi Industry:
• For the first time in the country, the value of khadi and village industries has crossed Rs 4 lakh crore.
• More than four crore jobs have been created in khadi and village industries.
• ‘Budthakka India’ (Start Up India) program has unleashed the potential of our youth.
• 7 Crore people across the country are benefiting through the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.
• In this 21st century ‘Make in India’ and ‘Self-reliant India’ are both the most ambitious programs of the nation.
• 3.5 crore houses have been constructed under Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme.
• India’s target is to spend Rs 3 lakh crore on infrastructure.

7. GSLV rocket successfully launched

• GSLV M-3 rocket successfully launched by Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) with 36 British satellites.
• The rocket was launched at 12.07 am from the second launch pad of the Satish Dhawan rocket launch pad in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
• The successful launch of this commercially operational rocket is seen as significant based on the MoU between ISRO’s ‘New Space India’ and UK’s ‘One Web’.
• With the success of this project, GSLV M-3 rocket became India’s first rocket to carry a payload of 5,796 kg.
• This rocket is capable of carrying 8000 kg satellites.
