மத்திய செய்திகள்
1. ஊரகப் பகுதிகளில் பாதுகாப்பான கழிப்பறை வசதி
- தூய்மை இந்தியா இயக்கத்தின் கீழ் ஊரக பகுதிகளில் பாதுகாப்பான கழிப்பறை வசதி உறுதி செய்யப்பட்டு திறந்தவெளி கழிப்பிடங்கள் இல்லாத நிலை உருவாக்கப்பட்ட சுகாதார மதிப்பீட்டில் தமிழகம் மூன்றாவது இடத்தை பெற்றுள்ளது.
- ஆண்டுதோறும் மத்திய ஜல் சக்தி அமைச்சகத்தின் குடிநீர் தூய்மை பணித்துறை நாடு முழுவதும் ஊரக பகுதிகளில் உள்ள தூய்மை பணியிகளில் தரம் மற்றும் சுகாதார உள்கட்டமைப்பில் அடைந்த முன்னேற்றத்தின் அளவீடுகளை அறிந்து மாநிலங்கள் வாரியாக தரவரிசை படுத்தி காந்தி ஜெயந்தி தினத்தில் விருதுகளை வழங்குகிறது.
- 2021-22-ஆம் ஆண்டு மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட சுகாதாரத்துக்கான மதிப்பீட்டில் தேசிய அளவில் அதிக மக்கள் தொகை கொண்ட மாநிலங்களில் தெலுங்கானாவும், ஹரியானாவும் முறையே முதல் இரு இடங்களை பெற்றுள்ளனர்.
- தமிழகம் மூன்றாம் இடத்தை பெற்றுள்ளது.
- இந்த விருதுகளையும் மத்திய ஜல் சக்தி துறை அமைச்சர் கஜேந்திர சிங் ஷெகாவத் ஊரகத்துறை அமைச்சர் கிரி ராஜ் சிங் ஆகியோர் முன்னிலையில் குடியரசுத் தலைவர் திரௌபதி மும்மு வழங்கினார்.
- வீட்டுத்தோட்டம், கழிவுநீர் மேலாண்மை பணிகளுக்கான மத்திய அரசின் ‘சுஜலாம்‘ என்கிற 100 நாள் நீர் மேலாண்மை இயக்கத்தில், மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட பல்வேறு பணிகளுக்கு தேசிய அளவில் தமிழகம் ‘ஐந்தாம்‘ இடம் பெற்றுள்ளது.
- தமிழகத்தில், தூய்மை இந்தியா இயக்கத்தின் கீழ், முதல் கட்டத்தில் மக்களிடையே பிரச்சாரங்களை மேற்கொண்டு சுமார் 50 லட்சம் குடியிருப்புகளுக்கு கழிப்பறைகள் கட்டி கொடுக்கப்பட்டன.
- மேலும், இட வசதி இல்லாத வீடுகள் பயன்பெறும் வகையில், 413 சமுதாய சுகாதார வளாகங்களும் கட்டப்பட்டன.
- இதன் மூலம், 12,525 ஊராட்சிகளில் உள்ள கிராமங்களில் திறந்தவெளி கழிப்பிடங்கள் இல்லாத நிலை உருவாக்கப்பட்டது.
2. தமிழக அரசுக்கு மத்திய அரசு விருது
- ஜல் ஜீவன் திட்டத்தின்படி, தமிழக கிராமப்புறங்களில் 55 சதவீத குடியிருப்புகளுக்கு குழாய் மூலம் குடிநீர் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- நாட்டிலேயே பெருமளவில் இந்த பணிகளை மேற்கொண்டதற்காக முதல் பரிசை தமிழக அரசு பெற்றுள்ளது.
- இதில் இரண்டாவது பரிசை மேகாலயத்திற்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- சிறிய மாநிலங்கள் வரிசையில் முதல் இரு இடங்களில் புதுச்சேரியும், கோவாவும் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன.
- தமிழக ஊரகப்பகுதிகளில் உள்ள 1.25 கோடி குடியிருப்புகளில் இதுவரை 69.14 லட்சம் குடியிருப்புகளுக்கும் (55 சதவீதம்) குடிநீர் குழாய் இணைப்புகள் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
- மீதமுள்ள 55.79 லட்சம் குடியிருப்புகளுக்கு பல்வேறு திட்டங்கள் வாயிலாக குடிநீர் குழாய் இணைப்புகள் வழங்கும் பணிகள் நடைபெற்று வருவதாக தமிழக அரசு தரப்பில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டது.
- ஜல்ஜீவன் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் பெரிய கூட்டுக் குடிநீர் திட்டங்கள் செயல்படுத்தப்பட்டு வருகின்றன.
- இதனால், போதுமான கால அவகாசத்திற்கு ஜல்ஜீவன் திட்டத்தை மேலும் 2 ஆண்டுகள் நீட்டிக்க அமைச்சர் கே.என்.நேரு கோரிக்கை விடுத்தார். தமிழகத்தில் காவிரி, கொள்ளிடம், வெள்ளாறு ஆகிய ஆறுகளின் குறுக்கே ஐந்து இடங்களில் தடுப்பணைகள் கட்டுவதற்கு ஜல்ஜீவன் திட்டத்தில், ரூபாய் 2,400 கோடி சிறப்பு நிதி ஒதுக்க வேண்டும் என்று கூறினார்.
3. மங்கள்யான்
- செவ்வாய் கிரக ஆராய்ச்சிக்காக இந்திய விண்வெளி ஆராய்ச்சி மையத்தால் (இஸ்ரோ) அனுப்பப்பட்ட ஆய்வுக்கலமான ‘மங்கள்யான்’ பேட்டரி தீர்ந்து விசை இழந்து தனது பயணத்தை முடித்துக் கொண்டது.
- ரூபாய் 450 கோடி செலவில் இந்தியாவில் தயாரிக்கப்பட்ட ‘மங்கள்யான்’ பிஎஸ்எல்வி–சி25 ஏவூர்தி மூலம் கடந்த 2013 ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் ஐந்தாம் தேதி விண்ணில் செலுத்தப்பட்டது.
- கடந்த 2014 செப்டம்பர் 24ஆம் தேதி முதல் முயற்சியிலேயே செவ்வாய் கிரகத்தின் சுற்றுவட்ட பாதையில் ஆய்வு களம் நிலை நிறுத்தப்பட்டது.
- ஆறு மாதங்கள் செயல்படும் வகையில் வடிவமைக்கப்பட்ட மங்கள்யான் கிட்டத்தட்ட 8 ஆண்டுகளாக ஆராய்ச்சி பணியை மேற்கொண்டு வந்தது.
- அறிவியல் ஆராய்ச்சிக்காக செவ்வாய் கிரகத்தின் மேற்பரப்பு நிலவியல், பாறை அமைப்பு, வளிமண்டல செயல்முறைகள், மேற்பரப்பு வெப்பநிலை உள்ளிட்டவற்றை குறித்து அறிய ஐந்து அறிவியல் சாதனைகளை மங்கள்யான் கொண்டிருந்தது.
- செவ்வாய் கிரகத்திற்கு இரண்டாவது ஆய்வுக்கலம் அனுப்புவது குறித்து 2016 ஆம் ஆண்டு இஸ்ரோ தகவல் தெரிவித்து இருந்தபோதிலும், மனிதர்களை விண்வெளிக்கு அனுப்பும் சந்திராயன்-3 மற்றும் சூரியனின் மேற்பரப்பு ஆராய்ச்சிக்கான ஆதித்யா-எல் 1 உள்ளிட்ட திட்டங்களே இஸ்ரோவின் தற்போதைய விண்வெளி ஆராய்ச்சி பட்டியலில் முன்னுரிமை பெற்றுள்ளன.
4. அரசு ஊழியர்கள் ‘ஹலோ’ என கூறாமல் ‘வந்தே மாதரம்’ என கூற வேண்டும்
- அரசு ஊழியர்கள் மற்றும் அதிகாரிகள் போனில் பேசும்போது அல்லது நேரில் ஒருவரை ஒருவர் சந்திக்கும்போது ‘ஹலோ’ என கூறாமல் ‘வந்தே மாதரம்’ எனக் கூற வேண்டும்.
- எனினும் இது கட்டாயம் அல்ல. ஆனால் துறை தலைவர்கள் ‘வந்தே மாதரம்’ என கூற ஊழியர்களை ஊக்கப்படுத்த வேண்டும்.
- ‘ஹலோ’ என்று வார்த்தை மேற்கத்திய கலாச்சாரத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது.
- அதற்கு அர்த்தம் கூட கிடையாது.
- அது வெறும் வார்த்தை தான்.
- அது எந்த உணர்ச்சியையும் ஏற்படுத்தாது.

Central News
1. Safe toilet facilities in rural areas
- Tamil Nadu has been ranked third in the health assessment where safe toilet facilities have been ensured in rural areas and the absence of open latrines has been created under the Clean India Movement.
- Annually, the Drinking Water Sanitation Department of the Union Ministry of Water Resources and Water Sanitation provides awards on Gandhi Jayanti Day by recognizing the measures of improvement in quality and sanitation infrastructure in rural areas across the country and ranking them state-wise.
- Telangana and Haryana are the top two most populous states in the country in the 2021-22 health assessment, respectively.
- Tamil Nadu has got the third position.
- President Draupadi Mummu presented these awards in the presence of Union Hydropower Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Rural Affairs Minister Giri Raj Singh.
- In the central government’s 100-day water management drive called ‘Sujalam’ for home garden and sewage management works, Tamil Nadu has been ranked ‘fifth’ nationally for the various works undertaken.
- In Tamil Nadu, under the Swachh India Movement, in the first phase, public campaigns were carried out and around 50 lakh households were provided with toilets.
- Also, 413 Community Health Complexes were constructed to benefit the poor households.
- Through this, 12,525 villages in panchayats have been created without open latrines.
2. Central Government Award to Government of Tamil Nadu
- Under the Jal Jeevan scheme, 55 percent of the households in rural Tamil Nadu have been provided with piped water.
- Government of Tamil Nadu has received the first prize for carrying out these works on a large scale in the country.
- The second prize has been awarded to Meghalaya.
- Puducherry and Goa occupy the top two positions in the list of small states.
- Out of 1.25 crore households in Tamil Nadu rural areas, 69.14 lakh households (55 percent) have been provided drinking water pipe connections so far.
- The Tamil Nadu government informed that the work of providing drinking water pipe connections to the remaining 55.79 lakh residences through various projects is underway.
- Under the Jaljeevan scheme, major joint drinking water schemes are being implemented.
- Thus, Minister KN Nehru requested to extend the Jaljeevan scheme by another 2 years for sufficient time. He said that a special fund of Rs 2,400 crore should be allocated under the Jaljeevan scheme to build barrages at five places across rivers Cauvery, Kollidam and Vellaru in Tamil Nadu.
3. Mangalyan
- Mangalyaan, the probe sent by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) for Mars exploration, ended its journey after its battery ran out and it lost power.
- ‘Mangalyaan’ manufactured in India at a cost of Rs 450 crore was launched on 5th November 2013 by PSLV-C25 aircraft.
- On September 24, 2014, the probe was stationed in the orbit of Mars on the first attempt.
- Mangalyaan was designed to be operational for six months and was undergoing research for almost 8 years.
- Mangalyaan had five scientific achievements to learn about the surface geology, rock structure, atmospheric processes, surface temperature of Mars for scientific research.
- Although ISRO announced plans to send a second probe to Mars in 2016, projects including Chandrayaan-3 to send humans into space and Aditya-L1 to explore the surface of the Sun are top priorities in ISRO’s current space exploration list.
4. Govt employees should say ‘Vande Mataram’ instead of ‘Hello’ want
- Government employees and officials should say ‘Vande Mataram’ instead of ‘Hello’ when talking on the phone or meeting each other in person.
- However this is not mandatory. But department heads should encourage employees to say ‘Vande Mataram’.
- The word ‘hello’ expresses western culture.
- It doesn’t even make sense.
- It is just a word.
- It does not cause any emotion.
